Much better than expected!
This charming, clean, well appointed cottage is just across the street from Lake Whatcom. The views are amazing. The house very comfortable including the beds and living room furniture. The deck is fantastic. There is Lake access with a nice area to hang out on.
Everything of the Highest Quality
We loved everything about this place. The large picture windows looking out at the lake, and additional windows throughout the cabin kept things light and airy, even when it was raining. Everything in the cabin is of high quality, with touches of beauty everywhere you look: a stained glass lamp in the bathroom, art-deco lampshades in the living room, sturdy craftsman furniture, and charming prints on the walls. The deck almost doubles the living space, and the yard features attractive landscaping and yet more space. We didn't venture across the road to the beach, but surely on warm summer days that would be another option. The interior lighting and heating system are perfect. Really, we couldn't have been more delighted with our 3-day stay. The owners obviously care about the place and take pains to ensure their guests' comfort.
very relaxing and exactly as advertised
Whatcome Lake Cuttie
Such a great VRBO just outside Bellingham, on Whatcom Lake. We were in Bellingham for a conference at the Sheraton but opted to stay at this little gem. All four of us ladies felt this place was soooo perfect. Very cute, clean place with all the necessities. The location offered beautiful sunrise views over the lake and mountains, just a few minutes from downtown Bellingham.
Great location and comfortable stay
We stayed here as a launch pad for exploring Bellingham and this house is in a great spot. The living room is very comfortable with 4 big leather chairs for enjoying a cup of coffee or watching a movie and the deck provides a great view over the lake. It's close to Whatcom Falls Park which I highly recommend that everyone who stays here should fully explore with a mix of trails that everyone can enjoy. We visited the Spark Museum, another gem - be sure to book the electric show on weekends, it's worth it. Even my teenager enjoyed herself... We hit a few spots on the Bellingham Tap Trail and the sculptures on the WWU campus. The house has basic cable so I would recommend bringing DVDs to watch or grab Redbox DVDs locally where available, like we did. One word of caution is that the deer are plentiful so drive slow in the neighborhood.
Lovely home with lovely view. The place was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Thank you!
