This luxurious home, located at 1800 Canby Ct. has been completely remodeled by Jonathan & Beth Hondorf who are renowned designer and builder. It offers 2,050 square feet of air-conditioned living space. The 1,680 square feet of screened-in lanai deck includes a heated 35-foot swimming pool, and an eight-foot spa with a covered area which includes an outdoor grill for outdoor dining.
The home has high ceilings throughout, with light flooding in from all directions. The living and dining rooms have 18-foot ceilings with 12-foot-long sliding glass doors that completely open up, connecting the living area with the lanai. All doors leading to the pool are fitted with special child-proof locks.
The kitchen is completely outfitted for any and all culinary delights and has a large eat-in breakfast area. The spacious master bedroom has a king-size bed, walk-in closets, and a large bath with a separate walk-in shower, soaking tub, and two vanities.
The other bedrooms have pillow top queen-size beds, and there is an inflatable air mattress on a frame for extra sleeping needs.
This waterfront home has a large boat dock for sunbathing. It has water and power along with a fish cleaning table. With its direct access to the 'River Area' and Gulf, it's perfect for mooring up to three boats. Many native fish, Manatees, and Porpoise frequent around the dock.
The private yard is extensively landscaped in native species and fruit trees with meandering paths and boardwalks. We maintain it in a sustainable, environmentally sensitive, method that does not use toxic chemicals. This ensures a safe environment for the native birds a well as our guests. The xeroscaped yard does not require artificial watering thereby preserving our most precisous commodity: water. This means more native birds and a Red Hawk that frequent the yard.

Marco Island is a unigue area in Florida that combines the natural habitat with the developed environment.
We try to MAINTAIN THIS PROPERTY IN AN ENVIRONMENTALLY SUSTAINABLE WAY where we minimize the use of toxic chemicals and harsh environmental practices. Our landscaping is Florida natural landscaping with native species of fruit and flower varieties utilizing xeroscape practices. We minimize the use of pesticides, fertilizers, and heavy watering. It is not an out of control, poorly maintained, landscaping which some may think upon first observation. Guest should take this into consideration and not compare to others that use very toxic, harsh, and water wasteful maintenance practices. This allows for a safer environment for our quests and helps protect the very delicate local environment encountered in south west Florida.

We have been very happy the house this week but wanted to let you know of a few things. There is a crack on the bottom of the microwave door and one on the dining room window both were here prior to our arrival. The micro is usable by all means just wanted you to know.
The house is very clean and comfortable. Everything else has been really nice.

House was in a very nice neighborhood - convenient to everything. A Publix and restaurants were minutes away. The lanai and pool/spa were great. Lanai was spacious and had a good view of the canal and boats behind us.
This property was a great place to stay on the inter-coastal. We had a family of 5 and had plenty of space. The home was very clean and in a location that was easy to get to. Pool and hot tub were clean and the outside patio was beautiful. The only suggestion that I would have to the owners would be to send an email in advance of the stay informing the renter about such things as garbage pickup, pool cleaning, etc. Also where to put the linens and towels when leaving. In past VRBO rentals I have always had this communication and this time did not. Other than having to search for a bit of information at the house everything was great. Hope to come back again another day.
Lovely spacious home with three large bedrooms, huge lanai with pool and hot tub and right on a canal. House is well stocked with many amenities. Centrally located so very convenient to go anywhere on the island. Located in a very nice, quiet area and pet friendly. We loved sitting out on the lanai in the morning and watching the water. It was an excellent value.
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay on Canby Court. The house is very nice and we liked being able to have the use of the garage too. The house was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked with dishes and utensils. We enjoyed the view of the waterway from the patio and pool area. Also enjoyed the Spa in the evening. The location is very convenient. We were five minutes away from the Publix Supermarket as well as other stores in the same area. My husband spent a day on a fishing boat and we took his catch to Cocomo's restaurant where they cooked it for us. I would recommend this house to anyone who would a nice, relaxing vacation.
We try to get away for the holidays down to Marco Island with the family every couple of years to relax, recharge and get some sun and surf. I will have to say there probably isn't a bad place to stay on Marco Island and this location was no exception to that. The house was a great space for all of us to comfortably fit. We enjoyed many hours in the hot tub and the pool. The pool was a great size for doing some laps or just playing with the kids. An added bonus was their landscaped side yard which we found ourselves playing some rousing games of boccie. All in all it was a great week and the house meet all our needs. Pool and Spa are spectacular, loads of fun for kids and adults. House is very interestingly designed, not most logical, and we found difficult to pick bedroom for 3 kids, so they ended up in master bedroom. There is anti-slip paint in the pool, and kids who spent multiple hours in there developed blisters...Dock is large and very good, but it takes good 1/2 hour boat ride at slow/no wake speed to get to the bridge and another 15-20 minutes to get to open sea. Canals around the house are more muddy and less clean than those further north, at the Clearwater area. The house is clean and well equipped. Grill and fishing rods are available, bikes are pretty beaten.
Great boating, fishing, and access to the spectacular Everglades. Our home provides quick access by car, bicycle, or boat to the areas many amenities. By bike or car you can get to the beach, restaurants, movies, golf, tennis, shopping, museums, and entertainment. By boat it is quick access to the Gulf of Mexico or the backwaters for fishing, exploring, or fun on Marco's beach or numerous barrier islands beaches without the people crowds.
The dock can accommodate large or small boats that you own or rent one at the local marinas nearby. You can also fish or sun bath right off our dock.
The house is close to Naples with easy access to Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, Everglade City, and Ft. Meyers. Beautiful beach sunsets!
Golf: There are numerous golf courses within several miles of home.
