What a beautiful place you have here. I so appreciate you working with me to make Joe's birthday so special. The family loved being here and the kids loved the swings and play area. The party was a huge success! Thank you.

Home Away from Home

  • 5 of 5

This rental was exactly that, a home away from home. Being part of the mudslides evacuation and not able to return to our home as we had liked we found this home provided us a pleasant 2 week stay. Charming , cozy and had all you would need to make you feel right at home.

Sincerely,

Pamela & Greg

Wonderful Holiday!

  • 5 of 5

Everyone loved the house and was sad to leave, even Bubba (our Newfie). The location is paradise.

The house is large, warm and cozy. There is a large living room and Family room both with large fireplaces. The house is decorated eclectic with a mix of Mexican, Indian and american furnishings and accessories throughout. The bed linen's looked new and the beds were very comfortable.

My favorite part of the house was it's rustic kitchen with the 1930's Wolf stove with it's old seasoned grill. I loved it so much I wanted to cook-in every meal (The best steaks I have ever made). For you chef's out there you will love it!

Across the lawn is a 2 story guest cottage (Extra charge) with a bed upstairs and one downstairs.

There are fabulous boutique stores and restaurants on Coast Village Rd. in Montecito and also a large outdoor mall on State St. in downtown Santa Barbara. There are amazing antique stores in nearby Summerland.

Can't wait to go back again!

A step back to old mission California. Great house and grounds for a special vacation or event.

  • 5 of 5

Family gathered for the wedding of our daughter. Great house for socializing in a beautiful setting with plenty of space for everyone. Quiet, peaceful, and comfortable for the old and the young. Great location and easy access to Santa Barbara in a few minutes without being caught up in typical tourist craziness. Home is well stocked for cooking at home or for bringing in food. Plenty of comfortable seating for all. Can't say enough about the comfort of the beds were in all the rooms. We're already talking about a return visit to the villa. A real hidden treasure to provide great family memories. We loved our stay. Thanks for the memories.

Rustic Charm in the countryside

  • 5 of 5

The house was rustic and charming. My family of five was comfortable in the four bedrooms. Each bedroom has only one bed...important to note depending on your group and sleeping arrangements. The beds have antique bed frames - either iron or wood headboards, making them creaky and a bit unsteady in some cases. We enjoyed the fresh breeze coming through the many windows and doors though there were no screens. All bedrooms are upstairs. The downstairs was spacious, with lovely views of the yard, fountain, etc. from living and dining rooms. It did remind me of the French countryside. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, pots and pans and almost everything you'd need to cook or serve. The commercial Wolf stove is massive and beautiful. It did make the kitchen hotter because pilot lights are constantly on. Bathrooms, three, were fine. Overall a comfortable stay in a beautiful rustic setting.

The Wifi was spotty for my husband who was working - several calls were dropped and he had to work in the master bedroom, as there wasn't not much of a signal anywhere else. The location was very convenient to everything in Montecito and Santa Barbara.

home base for a dream wedding.

  • 5 of 5

Our family of ten stayed here for a week in preparation for and then, recovery from, our daughter's wedding. The space was perfect for us: the bride and groom had a bit of privacy in the casita, the yard accommodated wedding pictures for a bridal party of 22 (!) and friends and family wandered in and out for the six days we spent there. The house is full of vintage treasures, but nothing is so fragile or precious that we had to worry about the two grandchildren.

A couple of days after the wedding a few of us took advantage of the offer to go wine tasting at Babcock winery and that was another perfect day. Brian was so generous with his time and we got a little more history of the fabulous house and winery.

We are all so sad to leave this lovely home and have told the newlyweds we want to return to celebrate their anniversary - EVERY year! :)

Santa Barbara is known as the “American Riviera”. Majestic mountains are the backdrop for one of the most beautiful “beach towns” in the country with a temperate climate year round making it a wonderful destination anytime. A congenial, small town atmosphere ensures a relaxing vacation along with a wide variety of things to do from sailing to live theater to wine tasting; and the restaurants are world class. Montecito is a small rustic community minutes away from down town Santa Barbara and the beach.
