About the property

Cabin, 1 Bedroom + Den, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4-6)

Our beautiful property has activities for all ages. The most important is beauty and serenity. Waking up to a glorious sunrise, getting in the John Boat and cruising the lake is Pleasure and Peace.

Coming back from a healthy hike on one of our trails or a fun ride in your private golf cart, you can be refreshed in our pool. Our pool-pavilion has a full kitchen and powder room.

There are many great places to dine. (Don't forget you can catch you dinner in one of our lakes).

We are minutes from St.Simons Island, Brunswick, Jekyll Island, Okefenokee Swamp and I-95. We are only 1 hour from Savannah and Jacksonville. The Lulaton Airport is 5 minutes from our gate.

Our lake property also has 5 acres on the Satilla river. A great place to put in you canoe or kayak or just relax by sunbathing, swimming or playing on the beautiful white sandy beach.

About The Owner

Bob and Eleanor Rawls have owned The Property since 2001. We moved here

permanently after retiring. Prior to this move, we resided on St. Simons Island, Ga.

Bob was in real estate and Eleanor owned a dance studio for 40 years. It was quite

a change moving from St. Simons to the country. We are still only minutes from

Brunswick, St. Simons Island and Jekyll.

Why The Owner chose Georgia

Before moving here, we built the cabin. Bob and I lived there 2 years while our home was being

built. After moving into our home, we decided to start renting the cabin so that others could

enjoy The Property as much as we do.

What makes this cabin unique

Having guest stay at our cabin has been a blessing. We have met the most incredible people

and formed many long lasting friendships.

What a treasure!!! Beautiful secluded cabin and gorgeous property!!!

  • 5 of 5

We have been renting properties for 15 years on VRBO and this is our FAVORITE!!! The cabin was immaculate, tastefully decorated, super comfortable beds and everything you needed at your fingertips!! The surrounding property was so serene!! The kids LOVED being able to roam the property, zip line, hit golf balls, swim and fish! The only thing better than the cabin and surrounding property are the OWNERS, Bob and Eleanor Rawls!!! They are simply some of the loveliest people you will ever care to meet!!!

Amazing Secluded Home away From Home for our Family!

  • 5 of 5

This was an amazing cabin rental that we lucked upon! We couldn't have picked a better location for our little getaway for the end of the summer. Amazing fishing options, kayaks, canoes, and the POOL in July was a must. Eleanor and Bob are the NICEST hosts and were more than accommodating and made us feel right at home. We can't wait to go back and will be back VERY soon! This is a serene getaway isolated from the hustle and bustle of everyday life!

2 night Stay

  • 5 of 5

We stopped 2 nights at Bob and Eleanor,s property during a holiday from the UK and from the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome by Them both. The property is in a beautiful location and the golf cart to explore and the boat are a fun addition. The property is open plan, clean and comfortable. Would we recomend the property? Without reservation it's a lovely place and we wish we had longer to explore and enjoy.

Thanks to Bob and Eleanor who showed us the genuine "Southern" hospitality in a location ideal to explore this part of the US.

Our PERFECT getaway!

  • 5 of 5

We like isolated, comfortable getaways with physical & entertaining possibilities. This was entirely to our taste. We feel like we found a gold mine in this week long rental! In our travels we have found very few that remotely compare to what Bob & Eleanor offer their guests! This is a wonderful place to reconnect in a serene environment, but with intrigues such as the three lakes on the property. They provided a canoe, kayaks, a small electric outboard boat as well as a golf cart to get you around their paradise acres. We saw a few small alligators, lots of stars, & found two kindred spirits in Bob & Eleanor. We can't overlook the beautiful swimming pool with large gazebo complete with cooking facilities. The cabin was homey & very comfortable with an open floor plan & a circular stairway to the sleeping loft & a place for children to entertain themselves. Definitely a FIVE star rental! We spent a day in the nearby Okefenokee Swamp Park. Very worth while seeing. Thank you for a great week!

Family fun!

  • 5 of 5

We took the kids, 7,5, 3, and 1, to see alligators in the Okee swamp.

Bob and Eleanor's place was just as advertised! A perfect home base that the kids loved! We rode in the boat and fished in the lake. The kids drove the golf cart in daddy's lap. They loved the zip line. Played in the natural sand. Wanted to swim in the pool but there was frost in the morning. Caught lizards on the fence. They loved going up to the playroom. We pushed the twin beds together for a king size retreat for mom and dad. They slept on the foldout sofa bed. (Don't tell Bob but we took them downstairs!)(@ put them back) One night Bob and Eleanor lit Chinese lanterns and let them fly. (Beautiful!)

We made it to Jekyll as well. Easy day trips to both, even for kids!

Two of the babe's cried when we had to leave. A great little retreat for an off the beaten path feel!

My husband and I stayed just after Valentine's Day 2016, and we considered it our Valentine's Day/anniversary present for each other. We couldn't have picked a better place to spend the week! Everything was perfect, from the warm welcome we received by Sammy, Molly (the owner's dogs), and Miss Eleanor to the dinner that we were lucky enough to share with Eleanor and Bob.

The cabin is wonderfully equipped with everything you might need, you just need to bring food! My husband enjoyed shooting clays with Bob (and he really enjoyed poking around the woods on the golf cart!). I stayed pretty quiet in the cabin (I was in the midst of recovering from surgery), but I could not have asked for a better place in which to relax and recover.

We did not take advantage of water activities, as the weather was a bit too chilly for that. But, that didn't stop us from enjoying every last second of our time there. We can't wait to come back!
