A deluxe cabin located across from Summit Central on Snoqualmie Pass, you are able to walk to the lifts easily, or if one of the other 3 ski areas at the Summit at Snoqualmie is your destination, you can walk to the end of the drive to catch a shuttle and they will drop you wherever you wish to spend your day.
Part of a two story residence, the rental unit is on the first floor and functions as a completely separate living space from the main unit above. Our family stays in the upper unit on weekends and holidays. It has a full sized kitchen, bedroom, living dining area and a deluxe bath. Attention was put into every detail, from the slate heated radiant floors, to the jetted soaker tub with built in steam shower, you will find quality throughout. Great for a romantic getaway or a family adventure.
The kitchen is fully equipped with everything needed to whip up a great meal just bring the groceries. The granite countertops and stainless steel appliances are both functional and beautiful. It has a full size refrigerator, gas range, microwave, dishwasher, trash compactor, garbage disposal and instant hot water dispenser, so you don’t need to wait for that cup of hot chocolate when you come in from the slopes.
The living dining area has a propane gas fireplace to cozy up to. The sofa folds down to make a queen size sleeper. The table will seat 4. The TV is ran by a Ruko Internet connection to give you unlimited Netflix and other wirelss internet channels there is also a DVD and a small stereo. We have numerous board games and movies available for your use. We do NOT have phone service. We do have WIFI. As the snow accumulates you are truly cocooned and may need to step out onto the deck for cell phone signal.
The bedroom has a king size bed to get lost in and an armoire for clothing. You can snuggle up under the down comforter for a great nights sleep.
The Bathroom is all about YOU. The large tub is great for a long soak or turn the jets on if you need to work some kinks out from the slopes. The best part however is that the enclosure doubles as a Steam Room. So grab the cedar planks to make yourself a seat and soak up the heat. Nothing takes away the chill like a hot steam sauna.
In addition, the hallway houses a stacked full size washer and dryer. There is a twin size Ikea cot and a port a crib in the closet. There are lots of sleds on site and an assortment of cross-country gear accumulated over time so if the shoe fits you are welcome to borrow it. We also have extra of ski clothing, so ask if you find yourself in need especially for kid stuff. Our two teenage daughters are willing to babysit with advance notice.
I feel confident you will not be disappointed in your stay. A wonderful getaway close to all the winter activities. The summers on the mountain cannot be beat with lakes, hiking and biking galore. So keep us in mind as your year round relaxation getaway spot.

Hi. I’m Brandi. This picture could be me if I was 30 years younger and 50 pounds lighter. Since I’m not you get to see this great picture of my daughter during an epic snow fall year. We are an outdoorsy family who spend most of our free time either on the slopes or hiking in the forest. My dear husband and children are all adrenaline junkies who can’t quite understand mom’s preference of sitting by the fire and reading a good book. Our Moto: Mom doesn’t ask and They don’t tell! Because if I knew about the cliffs and death defying double black diamond runs they were doing I would be forced to ground the kids or divorce the husband. Lucky for me the four year old is at the same skiing level as I am so we can have lots of fun on the new slopes put in at Summit East. When not pursuing fun in the wilderness, I chauffeur around the kids to their various activities, help run my husband’s engineering firm and use my design skills to renovate dilapidated old homes which I then sell or rent. Our cabin at Snoqualmie Pass is one of my greatest success and something I am very proud of.
Brandi Hunt purchased this cabin in 2001
The great thing about Snoqualmie Pass is it is a short 50 minute drive from Seattle. Being right off I-90 the roads are kept plowed and sanded which means it is easy to get to. The cabin is very close to the lifts, even the 4 year old has no problem walking over. Our road is snow plowed and we have parking spaces in front of the cabin. The best thing about the area is it is above the cloud cover, which means when it is gray and raining in Seattle we have snow and sun. Our neighborhood is very safe and the kids can come and go as they please. An added bonus that many don’t realize is that we have warm summers up here and you can actually swim in the nearby lakes without a wet suit. We spend a lot of time hiking and biking in the mountains and this location just cannot be beat.
When we have no one renting the downstairs, my husband and I will sneak off and use the steam sauna. It is wonderful. The whole place gives off romantic, take a break, just relax vibes. One renter commented that it made him think of cognac and cigars and with the use of old growth timbers, reclaimed wood and hardware you do get the old English pub feel. We hope you decide to see for yourself everything our cabin can offer. Just remember you cognac , but leave the cigars at home.
We stayed here for a couple nights. It takes about 7 minutes to walk to central Summit. The unit itself is decorated well and has great lighting. I would stay here again if in the area.
I can't say enough about this cabin! My family of five(2 adults, 14 yr old, and 4 year old twins) spent 2 nights for a pre Christmas get away. Communication with the owner was amazing from the time we booked until the time we left. The cabin was VERY clean and came with everything we needed! We even borrowed snow clothes and sleds! The location is awesome for little people to play in the snow! We were able to go sled right outside the door and then come in after tiny hands got cold....and then back out again 10 minutes later :) My kids are already asking to go back next year!
We were booked in this cabin for Feb 15th and 16th. Unfortunately, Feb has been a very warm month and a few days before we were due to arrive, Snoqualmie shut down their lift and skiing operations. I had not checked the Snoqualmie website and hadn't know this but Brandi emailed me to let me know what had happened. She very graciously gave us the option to keep our cabin reservation or to be able to cancel and she would refund us our deposit. Outside of these unusual circumstances, her cancellation policy is already a very generous one.
Throughout the booking process, Brandi was exceptionally helpful and very easy to communicate with. She answered all of my email questions promptly and I feel that she has the highest personal standards of conduct and is a trustworthy person. I am very much looking forward to booking a future reservation to stay in her lovely cabin.
We could not have been happier with this great cabin. We are a family of five and spent 3 nights at Snoqualmie at the Hunt Cabin during our spring break up from Florida. We had room enough to relax and recuperate after our days on the slope. Our kids are 16, 13 and 11 so it could have been cramped, but it was not because of the nice layout of the unit. The heated floors were amazing, we all feel in love with them. The Shower/Sauna was also a bonus. Everything was as promised; clean, comfortable and well stocked. The host is very accommodating. We borrowed sleds, warm clothes, and Brandi went above and beyond when she mailed my sons DS back to Florida after he left it in the cabin. If we have the opportunity we will be back!
We went here in the winter of 2010 and 2011, it is not three years later (we have moved to Indiana and don't get to ski much) and my kids are still reminiscing about Brandi's. I think the kids (now 13 and 8) quotes can sum up the experience best:
*Remember that great basement condo with the fancy shower and there is so much snow when you walk in you feel like you are in a snow cave?"
*Remember how we walked to the lifts right when we woke up and had the ski hill to ourselves?"
*Remember how we would sled right across the street and you practically end up at our house?"
"Remember how you got sick and the nice lady upstairs loaned us Tylenol?"
We stayed in a much bigger house a different weekend in this neighborhood but it wasn't as close and convenient as Brandi's and the kids did not have nearly as much fun.
We had difficulty with our schedule. Brandi went above and beyond to accommodate my family's needs. VRBO is not just about the property, it is the interaction with the owner that rounds it out to a great trip. If you rent this cabin you will find that Brandi makes it a perfect experience.
