Overall impression and historical value:
It is the ground floor in one of the few, typical, still preserved Fehmarn farmhouses. The house belongs to a formerly large-scale farm, which have characterized the rural image of the holiday island with their independent character. Parts of the farm were already demolished in the seventies and replaced by visually adapted to the rural style new buildings. The house was restored in the years 2012/13 with great attention to detail and further enhanced in 2017/18. As a result, a real rarity has been obtained.
The remaining large degree valuable old buildings makes the house a special place. Purely aesthetic according to traditional Fehmarner building culture is preserved and covered traditional hollow pan sound around a single-story neunachsigen Breitbau with dormer and Vollwalm in largely original brick. In part, the brick-lined hand-shaped from clay bricks framework is exposed in the house. Original cottage doors and oak panels from the period were processed and exposed distemper paintings on the living room walls. Some rooms are decorated with simple North German stucco elements.
Largely the floors are in hallways and lobby traditionally made of terrazzo. High quality oak herringbone parquet flooring, reclaimed and Scandinavian-style white glazed pine floorboards (Pitch-Pine) and Villeroy & Boch Mettlach Art Nouveau mosaic tiles of timeless elegance have been preserved.

The current situation is true to the state of the second Half of the 19th century. Century (the house in 1820 for the first time mentioned), mixed with modern elements. The division was maintained consistently and historically is designed so that three generations (multi-generational household) and other workers were accommodated comfortably. Today, the house on the ground floor can comfortably accommodate up to 11 people.
The spacious kitchen is located in the middle of the room a kitchen island with integrated ceramic hob (Parental Control) and a large dishwasher. The kitchen area is tiled with antique VILLEROY & BOCH Mettlach mosaic tiles (cement tiles) from the time the turn of the century. It is located in an old porcelain wash stone, an oven, a microwave, and a free-hanging island cooker hood. The more than 30 people equipped for hosting kitchen adjoins the large dining room and has a window facing to the south-west terrace.
The house has three bathrooms, and an additional large wet - and bathroom with sauna. It covers about 60 square meters with a traditional brick herringbone / ears laid pattern and edged with granite shelves. Easily accessible via the adjacent 50sqm living room and practical way to the kitchen. It has a large table for 10 people and more seating on benches and lounge furniture from poly rattan. A barbecue is available. Two huge umbrellas provide shade when it gets too hot again. Due to its west orientation can be observed from the terrace in summer breathtaking sunsets over the Orther Reede.
Sunbathing, relax with friends at a white board dining and barbecuing or as a playground for the children. The garden, which features a 2000 square meters area with an old fruit trees, is surrounded by an old stone wall ingrown. Here one is absolutely for you and may the peace and seclusion of the original enjoying nature.
Nothing is more important than a good night's sleep. Therefore, all beds are equipped with high-quality mattresses in the bedrooms. In the rooms fine antiques, modern classics and modern furnishings are combined harmoniously side by side. Some rooms have both a private bathroom as well as via an attached private sitting room so you can retire once at any time. More than 600 programs can be received on modern flat-screen televisions or Bang & Olufsen (B & O) classics via a satellite system.

This idyllic country house is located near the beaches of Orther Reede and the Fehmarn Sound. The nearby beaches are different, so is something for everyone. There are fine flat sandy beaches or rocky natural beaches where you can hundreds of meters into the Baltic Sea run into it. On some beaches surfing is capitalized and other one is almost alone and enjoy the tranquility of nature. The popular areas for kite and wind surfers with its shallow water in gold and Strukkamp-Huk are easily accessible on foot or by bicycle. Two surf schools have not offered for more than 20 years sailing, windsurfing courses and, more recently, kite surfing lessons. The golf course 'Wulfener mountains' is located in the vicinity. The tourist tax is not included and must be paid in cash at check in. The corresponding forms will be deposited on your arrival in the house.
We encourage the sustainable use of resources. Electricity and gas are therefore billed directly on the spot, provided the consumption exceeds their advance payment. In a proper handling of the sauna and heating, the consumption should, however, keep absolutely in line.
You rent the ground floor on an area of 280m2. The attic of the house can be rented additionally, whereby the living space and persons number doubles.
