Just got back from our third annual Tough Mudder weekend away at Carolin and Ed's beautiful home! As always Carolin is so helpful and is quick to respond to all questions and makes everything so easily organized. Between the charm of the home, the yard/deck area, the hot tub, sleeping accommodations and incredibly convenient location to Mt. Snow-- there is no other place we'd rather stay!
Excellent ski house! Plenty of room, nice downstairs area to send teenagers to, and hot tub is a huge plus!! Owner couldn't be easier to work with. Will definitely rent again when at Mt. Snow.
My family and my brother in-law's family stayed the week of New Year's. From the moment we walked into the Kassmel's home we felt immediately at home. The house has everything a renter could possibly need to stay for a week and it was even decorated for the holiday. Carolin even left a bottle of champagne and some party hats to celebrate New Year's. After three days of skiing at Mt. Snow the hot tub really helped with the sore muscles. My family had plenty of room to spread out and we had some great conversations around the large dining room table every night. The home is close enough to both Mt. Snow and Stratton, which is awesome the next time we come up. The only downside was the cell service and the lack of wifi, but as soon as I walked outside the front door I was able to make a call. Overall the Kassmel have a wonderful l home and for my family it was perfect. Loved it!
The place was a lovely ranch house, comfortably and attractively furnished, and nestled amid tall trees. It was clean, neat and pleasantly warm, and had everything we needed, including a nice wood-burning fireplace. There was a charming Vermont woods theme running through the decor of several rooms. Beds were excellent and, along with the fresh mountain air, brought a good night's sleep. There was an inviting hot tub in the basement (which is at ground level in that part of the house) but we did not have time to use it. Parking was easy, and the house location was straightforward, following the directions. It's just up a long winding hill from the main road (rte. 100), so it's convenient while being very private and quiet.
A well kept and clean home for families to enjoy southern Vermont. All modern amenities make the home comfortable. The hot tub is a nice end to a full day of skiing.
The owner was friendly and easy to work with. Arrangements were completed smoothly. Highly recommended.
