Pleasant get-away for a weekend...
Property was well equipped with everything imaginable for a short or long stay. Place was clean. Beds were comfortable. We needed at least 2 bedrooms for a place for our stay. We appreciated the hot tub in the evenings. Homer is an interesting place to visit. The only thing that surprised us was that we paid full season price for the place when it was clearly 'after' season, so late in September.
Comfortable HQ with a fabulous view.
We had five people for four nights. Very comfortable base. Beds are are big and great for a good night's sleep. Every thing we needed, even local guide books, a list of suggested restaurants and things to do, and binoculars. Very clean. Stunning view of the bay, mountains, and glaciers. BBQ was a treat for our fish dinner with our local friends. We used the well equiped kitchen - plenty of plates and glasses.
Thanks for the excellent wifi.
Only one suggestion, the downstairs shower tub needs grab bars.
Disappointed that we didn't see the moose 😎
Can't wait to return.
This is the nicest home rental we have stayed in. The extra touches really made it special -- the local coffee and jams, the well-stocked cupboard and fridge, the laundry detergent, everything high-end in the kitchen...
The owners were very easy to contact and were wonderful when I forgot my iPad there -- they mailed it to me ASAP.
Highly recommend; if we ever get back to Homer, we know where we will be staying.
Everything You Need
This property is everything we needed and more. Beautifully landscaped and the view was spectacular. The resident sandhill cranes were a bonus. The kitchen had even we needed including sharp knives. We would definitely book again!
The views are amazing!
We arrived in Homer on a crystal clear day and were mesmerized by the view across the water! The deck
was a great place to enjoy the beauty and just chill. Inside, the house was so well appointed--we lacked for nothing; the kitchen had the necessary equipment to make almost anything, the beds were very comfortable, and the convenience of the washer and dryer was great for a family with small children. Everything was spotless. We loved this place and would definitely choose it again.
Beautiful Home in Homer
The Homer Guest Cottage is a wonderful place to stay while visiting Homer. The cottage is comfortable for 6 adults. A bit of a surprise is the upstairs master bedroom. The room includes a bathroom and while the toilet and shower are around a corner in the room, there is no door separating them from the bedroom. Not a issue for folks who are use to less privacy in the master bedroom.
The big surprise was how well equipped the cottage is. We had plenty of utensils, great pans, lots of spices, etc. Overall, the cottage really feels like someone who cares about you, is letting you use their home for your stay in Homer. We would book again, if we return to Homer.
