This home, featured in Nantucket Island Living Magazine, offers the charm of Sconset with the convenience of a Monomoy location. It makes for a wonderful family retreat or is perfect for that couple's “get away”. The cottage is within walking distance to Monomoy Beach which was rated one of the best on the island for its seclusion, calm waters and spectacular harbor views. It is also within walking distance to town, the local market and is in close proximity to the Sconset Bike Path. The home saw massive renovations in 2014 which included an additional third bedroom and a brand new kitchen. Each of the three bedrooms comes complete with designer linens, flat screen TVs and beautiful furnishings. In addition there are two full baths and a brand new outdoor shower. The new kitchen has a working fireplace, Ceasarstone counter tops and stainless steel appliances. The LR also has a working fireplace, flat screen TV and furnishings from Pottery Barn and Restoration Hardware! Finally the deck comes furnished for all of your outdoor entertaining needs. It is complete with seating for 15 between dining, living and fire pit areas! Add to all this, a spacious yard, high speed Internet and CENTRAL AC and you have a cottage that is certain to please. This home has been booked solid 8 years in a row and with even more improvements this year, you can be certain it will book up again! Book early and don't miss out!
Transportation on the island: As seen in many of our reviews, the cottage is so conveniently located that a car is not necessary. However, if you choose to bring your vehicle you must make a reservation at the Steamship Authority well in advance to ensure space is available during the week of your visit. Due to the limited availability on the car ferry, the island offers several options for bicycles, moped and car rentals. Additionally the NRTA Island Shuttle goes almost everywhere on the island for only $2.00 per person each way. The closest NRTA stop is just a few hundred yards down the road. The shuttle runs on a regular schedule, approximately every 20 minutes. For more information on car, bike and moped rentals please feel free to call or email us!
Dining on the island: Nantucket is an island of the culinary arts! There are countless restaurants to choose from. The cottage comes with a guide to all the hot spots on the island. Keep in mind, being an island, Nantucket offers some of the best seafood in the world! If seafood is not your preference, there are many other establishments that you will certainly enjoy!
Best of all, dining on the island is comparable in cost to dining on the mainland. While many may think that as an island, prices would be much higher, they are in fact not! They are comparable to prices in most metropolitan areas. There are plenty of family friendly establishments that are perfect for families with little ones. There are plenty of sports venues for the sports enthusiast and for those couples trying to escape it all... there is no place with more intimate, with more romantic restaurants than on the island of Nantucket! Call or email for more information!

We fell in love with Nantucket on our very first visit back in 2007. After spending only 14 days on the island, we were hooked. We bought in the fall of that year, did major renovations over the winter and haven't looked back. One of our favorite things to do, whether its on the beach or strolling the cobble stones of Main Street is to look back on all the fantastic times our family has already had in our cottage and to dream about what is certain to be a fantastic future on Nantucket! Our son and daughter, 10 and 6 years of age already agree that a little bit of Heaven can be found on Nantucket!
It is truly our hope that you'll be bitten by the Nantucket Bug as well and that you'll consider our cottage your summer home for years to come. Most of our renters repeat year after year. We would love to add you to that list!
Andrew Tenney purchased this cottage in 2007
This cottage is all that Nantucket Cottages are meant to be. It offers the charm of years gone by, yet is furnished for the most sophisticated guests. While it is our cottage, it is our goal that you feel right at home from the moment you walk through the door. Therefore, we provide all of the amenities that we enjoy while we use the home. What's ours is your's so enjoy! Aside from an outstanding location, you will have the pleasure of an attentive owner. You'll see in our reviews that we'll be in constant communication leading up to your stay and should you have any questions while your on the island, we're only a phone call away. Add to all of this a beach that is close enough to walk to, central air conditioning and a setting that is second to none and this cottage is certain to please!
We purchased this property because it offered all that we hoped for in a Nantucket Cottage. It has the charm found in historic Nantucket Homes yet has all the modern amenities you will need. It is within a mile to Main Street/Town and you can walk to the beach. Add the shell drive and village setting among 7 other similar cottages, and our breath was taken away. We hope that you'll experience Nantucket the same way our family has for the past several years and that you'll return for many more years to come. While you have several homes to choose from, we're certain, that you can't go wrong with this cottage. Read our renter reviews for more insights and give us a call when your ready to discuss your next island vacation.
"Just to let you know we spent a wondeful time at your Nantucket's home. We felt at home immediately and everything was in order. We will most certainly come back. Thanks for being so responsive and attentive to our needs. We truly had a wonderful vacation!" -copied from tenant email
We recently stayed at this cottage and were blown away. It is so beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. The rooms are beautiful and the kitchen had updated appliances and everything we needed for cooking. We looked at many places and this was the only place with updated appliances, washer and dryer, central A/C, and an outdoor shower. It's perfect for anyone, especially families. The location was perfect- minutes from everywhere we wanted to go. We hope to make this an annual stay for us, as we are now obsessed with Nantucket. I highly recommend this house to anyone!
Came out for a week with another family - 4 adults and three kids, all under 5. The cottage is a great size for this type of group - two wings for the two families, enough room in the middle to spend time together, a nice back deck to spend the evenings on. We loved walking or biking to Monomoy Beach, which took about 15 minutes (walking) along a mostly residential road - a great bay beach for young families. You're across the road from the Milestone bike path, on which you can get anywhere, and a walk away is Lola Burger - great place to get take-out (or eat in), with great shakes if the kids need an ice cream fix. There is also a grocery story close, but far enough away. We would certainly recommend staying here, and will likely do so again when we next visit. It is a quaint Nantucket cottage!
We are two retired couples with the wives being sisters, and visited Nantucket mid September and had a great visit to Nantucket. We would highly recommend this home to anyone visiting the island. The property was a good fit for us and we were able to stay in opposite ends of the cottage. We rented a jeep and explored the island. We had lobsters and shrimp and prepared them in the well equipped kitchen. The flowers and gardens were beautiful and the people were very friendly. The house was clean, well equipped and nicely decorated. The owner was very helpful and answered all of our questions and great customer service.
Nantucket is a beautiful Island and town with much American history and we look forward to returning to this cottage in the future.
My family of four (two adults and two kids, ages 2 and 4) stayed at this darling cottage this past summer. It was our second trip to the island, first stay at this home. The house is as described: nicely furnished and appointed, well-maintained and clean. It had everything we needed: pack-n-play for our little guy; booster seats for both kids; some toys and books for the kids; beach chairs and a grill. The mid-island location was perfect for reaching the spots we frequent most: Sesachacha Pond, Jetties, Sankaty Light, and town. The bike paths make it walkable to the Stop-n-Shop and Lola Burger. Andrew, the owner, is fantastic. He was easy to work with, responsive and a good resource for restaurants and activities on the island. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to family and friends.
Where to begin.....we got very lucky and managed to book a week at this cottage due to a cancellation. Otherwise the cottage is always rented for the entire summer! It was our first visit to Nantucket...we have always vacationed in Chatham, and were looking for something a little different. This house was perfect for our family of two adults and four children ages 7-14. The location was perfect , close to everything! Monomoy beach is just a short walk to the beach access, although we often hopped in the car for a quick drive to Surfside where the kids rode huge waves for hours each day! We ran every morning on the bike path just across the street, had coffee on the peaceful back deck while the kids played in the yard. The cottage is in a small U shaped cul de sac off the main road, so we never had to worry about traffic or the kids being safe, and there was plenty of room to spread out. The furnishings in the home were great, comfortable beds, seating at dining table, plenty of outdoor seating. Two full baths enabled us to get everyone showered and ready to go easily. The laundry in the master bath was such a nice and convenient bonus! When we arrived at the house it was clean, and loaded with EVERYTHING you could possibly need. The owner even supplies basic cleaning products and paper products, which was convenient, and replenished before we left. I could have cooked all of our meals right there with a fully stocked kitchen and a two minute drive to Stop and Shop ( pharmacy, Downylake (yum).....BUT there are too many great places to see and eat that we didn't have time to cook! We did pick up a birthday cake at nantucket bakery that was awesome and celebrated one of the kids birthdays! There were beach chairs, sand toys, boogie boards...although we did buy 4 and leave them at the cottage ~ Andrew the owner of the house was such a pleasure to work with, offered many suggestions and ideas to make our trip wonderful. It is the kind of place you walk into and feel right at home. As we told Andrew, the hardest part of our entire summer........was LEAVING!! Can't wait to return......oh , and one week is not nearly long enough!!!
This was our first trip to Nantucket and while we were not familiar with the lay of the land so to speak, we could not have found a more conveniently located rental on the island. You are just a quick trip to the Stop n Shop, local restaurants and private secluded beaches.
The house is perfectly appointed- very well maintained and sweetly decorated, and for us especially, well stocked with everything we could need for traveling with a toddler: a pack and play, booster seat, and even some toys and books are available for renter use. We made the mistake of packing our own toys, and of course, they were never used! Add on the washer and dryer, this was one of the most relaxing trips we have had as a family.
Since we were traveling with a small child, we took advantage of the fully stocked kitchen every evening, including of course, the dishwasher! On the couple of evenings we chose not to cook, we perused the menus left by the owners and ordered terrific take-out pizza from the local pizzeria- right down the street- Pi Pizza. Very good!
We were able to take advantage of the amenities offered by the rental as well: the great deck and grill, the electronics (we rented some DVDs from the Redbox at the Stop N Shop), and of course the prime location.
Thank you to Andrew for such a great experience! We really enjoyed working with you- our communications were quick and friendly, and any questions were promptly answered if not already addressed. It is no wonder your rental is in demand!
Monomoy Village is an enclave of what are said to have once been cottages in a fisherman's village. The 8 original cottages are rumored to have been located in Miacomet, but have since been relocated to this quaint setting between Monomoy and Polpis Roads. The location boasts close proximity to Monomoy Beach, Town and local markets. It provides the perfect backdrop to a traditional Nantucket getaway!
