About Carolyn Hartman

We love gathering our family including 6 grandkids in this wonderful cabin that was originally built by our Dad who was an orthopedic surgeon in Phoenix and he cherished his weekends away in Sedona just a 2 hour drive from Phoenix on the I-17.

Carolyn Hartman purchased this cabin in 1969

Why Carolyn Hartman chose Arizona

Sedona is a magical must do experience. The colors and the incredible energy here is addictive. Once you visit you will come back again year after year.

Our cabin sits on top of Jordan HIll and you feel as though you are miles away from everything in this quiet location but it is just a 5-10 minute walk to Uptown Sedona and the shops, art galleries, and restaurants. Amazing trailheads are just a few minutes walk from the cabin.

Comfortable, quiet getaway spot

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for two weeks in February and enjoyed both the site and the proximity to hiking trails in the area. The house was very welcoming--clean, well-taken care of, and spacious. This is clearly a well-loved family property.

There are lots of windows to let in the light and the gorgeous views. The site is private and quiet, amazingly so since it's only a few minutes' walk to Uptown Sedona. The deck offers views of beautiful sunrises and starry night skies. We cooked for ourselves and found everything we needed in the kitchen. The owner was always quick to respond to questions and was helpful and friendly. The beds and the furniture were comfortable. We are looking forward to going back!

Perfect Spot for our Sedona Getaway

  • 5 of 5

Our family of five (3 boys ages 7, 9, 12) stayed here for a week and it was absolutely perfect. It's close to town, hiking and a great home base for road trips to Grand Canyon and the Petrified Forest (each about 2-1/2 hrs away). The views cannot be beat and it feels extremely private. The home is comfortable--all of the beds were great, the kitchen was well stocked (no dishwasher, but we didn't mind washing the dishes while looking out the window at the gorgeous red-rock view) and having a fire place for the cold nights was just the perfect way to cap off our day. When it's clear the star-gazing can't be beat. My kids couldn't believe the amount of stars in the sky! I just can't recommend this place highly enough!!

Amazing and Special Getaway

  • 5 of 5

What a beautiful and spectacular home! We spent our nights enjoying home cooked meals on the awesome deck, drinking wine and stargazing. Our mornings started with a cup of coffee on the deck, listening to the birds sing, watching the colors change on the red rock faces, and soaking in the beautiful views, nature and environment this wonderful cabin has to offer. Fun trails at the end of Jordan Road (about 1 mile away) were a great way to spend the day. The short walk into town for sight-seeing, people-watching and happy hours were also fun. However, we found that all we really wanted to do was be at the cabin, playing cards, enjoying the views and making the place our home.

Fabulous getaway.

  • 5 of 5

We spent a long four day weekend after a business conference in Phoenix in this wonderful cabin.

The weather was spectacular and the views were truly amazing. The kitchen is perfect for young families and true foodies as well. We cooked in after stocking up at Whole Foods and also enjoyed eating out. The deck is the perfect escape from our busy lives whether it be soaking up the Red Rocks or just gazing at the stars.

Breathtaking Vistas

  • 5 of 5

This was our first visit out to Sedona and we could not have been more pleased with our stay at this beautiful cabin. The one thing I cannot forget are the breathtaking vistas that we enjoyed every morning as we had breakfast or walked out onto the deck. It was truly amazing.

The cabin is nestled on a hill, but close enough to walk into downtown Sedona, which we did one morning. Our only regret is that we were so busy visiting so many amazing places, we had little time to enjoy our tranquil cabin location. We plan on coming back and taking some time to do just that :)
