About Chuck White
Hi! My name is Chuck White and I have visited and lived at Lake Tahoe for over 35 years. I spent 30 years as a volunteer for the National Ski Patrol and have skied virtually every downhill resort and back country terrain in the Lake Tahoe area. I have hiked, fished and skied over most of the Tahoe Sierra Region. Tell me what you want to do during your visit to Lake Tahoe and let me "be your guide". I am a registered professional civil engineer and have been working for almost 40 years on environmental issues in California and the west.
Chuck White purchased this Chalet in 1978
Why Chuck White chose Tahoe Paradise
I originally purchased this property when I was living at Lake Tahoe in the late 70's and have maintained it as a second home and a rental property since 1982. Chuck's Tahoe Apache Cabin is ideally located in a quiet subdivision with great winter access and near both Heavenly Valley and Sierra-At-Tahoe Ski areas. Easy access to shopping and a myriad of outdoor activities.

Great home in the perfect location
My husband and I loved Chuck's home. It was in the perfect location in Meyers and set away from the chaos that can be SLT on a holiday weekend. The home was spacious and I definitely enjoyed the hot tub. It was great to walk out the back door into forest service lands and cruise along the trails back there with the dogs.
This is exactly why I like offering this vacation rental to guests, family and friends. It is also my home away from home to get away from the bustle of modern life. Close to all the Tahoe amenities, but not so close as to be intruded upon.
We felt very comfortable here. Every attempt to make you feel welcome was made.
The atmosphere was relaxing and comfortable. Great location to many amenities. We definitely recommend this cabin and will return again.
Cabin with a beautiful back yard which leads into the woods
Beautiful scenery and plenty of room in Chuck's cabin. Everything you need for cooking and BBQing and the hot tub was just what we needed. Sitting in the hot tub with a cocktail and looking out toward the forest was so relaxing. It was 20 degrees cooler at the cabin than our home, so very refreshing to have good sleeping weather. The 2 teenage boys had the 2nd floor to themselves with their own bathroom. The only downside is the upstairs beds are too small for 6 foot teenagers, but they made it work. Lots of shopping nearby and many beaches to choose from. According to the neighbor, he was visited by a bear cub with the mom bear nearby with 2 other Cubs. The beds are comfortable and the cool breezes were hypnotic. The cabin has everything you need, sheets, blankets, pots, pans, dishes, dishwasher, garbage disposal, washer, dryer, towels, cleaning supplies, paper products, BBQ and hot tub. Just bring clothes and your swimsuit. Our dogs enjoyed having different smells and we enjoyed having different views. The first morning waking up with a cup of coffee on the back balcony looking out to the forest was glorious, don't miss this affordable chance to visit Tahoe. Nearby, local casinos too.
The perfect place to stay.
This was a great place to stay. We were very happy with everything. I would stay here again. As many people know Lake Tahoe is getting more crowded by the day. The location for us was perfect. It was far enough away to avoid the daily bumper to bumper traffic of Lake Tahoe, but close enough if need anything it is only a few miles away. The neighbors were also really nice. The backyard is beautiful. It is nice sitting in the jacuzzi and looking behind you and only seeing trees. The property has a lot of privacy and the neighborhood is quiet. Chuck keeps the house very well stocked with everything you need. There is a ton of movies, board games, books to read and a full garage to keep all of your toys secure. Upstairs there is a room my daughter loved because it had vaulted ceilings with a big flat screen TV and a air hockey table along with 5 beds in the room, which would be perfect for a large family with a lot of kids. Across the hall is a nice big room my son used, which was nice, kids were upstairs and we had more privacy downstairs. There is 2 rooms upstairs and 2 downstairs with a bathroom on each floor (2 total). One of the rooms has a sliding glass door to the jacuzzi. In the downstairs bathroom there is a full size washer and dryer. One of local secrets I found while staying here, was Meyers park. The park has a decent size lake you can paddle board, fish and Kayak for free. It is kind of hidden, so you only see locals using the lake with no tourist. About 2 miles away is an awesome groomed mountain bike trails the locals like to keep secret. This was a great vacation spot. Chuck thanks for allowing us to rent your house. We had such a good. I only wish we would have stayed longer.
Nice large Cabin with a good view
Nice large Cabin and a good view ...open mountain landscape in back with a pond. Lots of walking opportunities, and quiet .. with parking for two cars. Close enough to the “Y” and to S.Lake Tahoe center. BBQ and stocked kitchen. Thanks!
Excellent accommodation. Short drive outside of South Lake Tahoe but still within the town of Meyers. Worth it for the cabin and the amenities. Lots of sleeping areas, large driveway, garage, games room, BBQ, and hot tub.
Chuck's Tahoe Apache Cabin is set in a rural mountain setting in Tahoe Paradise and Meyers district southwest of South Lake Tahoe, near the junction of Highways 50 and 89. Take nearby Pioneer Trail for 8 miles and you are at Stateline Nevada with Casinos! Six miles from Lake Tahoe, 20 minutes by car to Heavenly Valley and Sierra-At-Tahoe Ski Areas. Other Activities: x-country skiing
