Hi! My name is Chuck White and I have visited and lived at Lake Tahoe for over 35 years. I spent 30 years as a volunteer for the National Ski Patrol and have skied virtually every downhill resort and back country terrain in the Lake Tahoe area. I have hiked, fished and skied over most of the Tahoe Sierra Region. Tell me what you want to do during your visit to Lake Tahoe and let me "be your guide". I originally purchased this property when I was living at Lake Tahoe in the late 70's and have maintained it as a second home and a rental property since 1982. Chuck's Tahoe Apache Cabin is ideally located in a quiet subdivision with great winter access and near both Heavenly Valley and Sierra-At-Tahoe Ski areas. Easy access to shopping and a myriad of outdoor activities.
We stayed here in late February for some snowshoeing adventures. The cabin is close by to the highways that take you straight to some great peaks.
My friends and I came out to Chuck's cabin for New years and all agreed we love this place and definitely want to come back!! The way the cabin was laid out was perfect for our group because it allowed people to go escape to their room if they needed quite time. The hot tub was wonderful and the acres behind the house were perfect for dog walks and snowball fights :) Chuck was a great host, and provided ample information on all the details of the cabin.
Chuck's Cabin was very nice. It's a cozy little cabin with everything you need. We will stay there again in the future.

The cabin has it all! We visited during Christmas week and there was about a foot of snow on the ground. At that point in December 2013 one winter snow storm had come through.
Kitchen is fully stocked with anything you would ever need to make a delicious meal! We even used the crock pot for our Christmas roast!
Plenty of space to hang around downstairs. In total, the cabin has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. One of the bedrooms upstairs is a bunk room and has a full-sized bunk bed with a twin bunk on the top. As well as 3 additional twin beds in the room (2 of which can be pushed together to make a king if you wanted to). The other 3 bedrooms each have either a queen or king I believe.
The hot tub was perfect and very hot! It was so awesome to get home from a day of skiing and relax in it :-)
We were able to bring our dog, which was really wonderful us. There is even a dog-run rope/line outside to tie up your pup so they can play outside but not run away!
The house is about 20 minutes from Heavenly Ski Area and 20 minutes from Sierra at Tahoe. It is in a nice neighborhood that backs up to a large open field. Our group hiked through the field and up a nearby hill and sledded down the hill. Some actually snowboarded, then hiked back up the hill for some fun and cheap snow adventures.
The property itself is well maintained and smelled very clean when we got there. There was plenty of firewood and the fireplace works very well. Chuck was very responsive to our initial inquiry and answered any questions we had before we booked our vacation. The home is within walking distance to a corner store with a large beer selection as well as other smaller establishments. Within about 5 minutes is a large grocery store, pizza, etc.
We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a vacation in South Tahoe. The house is fully stocked, warm and cozy, and close to attractions without being extremely expensive. Perfect for a big group of friends or families with kids.

Our stay was a wonderful experience for the whole family . Id definitly would recomend this place , it was beautiful and very homie with plenty of extra supplys if needed . The place was clean and well maintained with beautiful views from every window . Again id like to say the whole family loved it and we would love to come again , it was close to stores , ski resorts and even the casino . The owner was very nice and provided good customer service forsure . I will be sure to pass the word on about this place to family and friends . The description was very accurate and easy to find . Chuck's Tahoe Apache Cabin is set in a rural mountain setting in Tahoe Paradise and Meyers district southwest of South Lake Tahoe, near the junction of Highways 50 and 89. Take nearby Pioneer Trail for 8 miles and you are at Stateline Nevada with Casinos! Six miles from Lake Tahoe, 20 minutes by car to Heavenly Valley and Sierra-At-Tahoe Ski Areas.
