We enjoyed our first visit to Oak Bluff in October 2015 so much, we wanted to come back this spring and we had a great time...and brought more family members to enjoy the house with us. Firstly, the owner is very easy to work with and is very responsive to emails. The furnishings in the house are high quality and comfortable. We found the kitchen to be well-stocked and a nice size for several people working in it at the same time. We had great weather overall and spent a lot of time outside. We love the peaceful neighborhood and the natural surroundings. Sitting in the gazebo and being able to watch the wildlife is very relaxing. This is a natural paradise with ducks, geese, egrets, and many other bird species all around the creek. Our very nice neighbor told us about the two ospreys in their platform nest at the north end of the creek and we enjoyed watching them. He also gave us the website of a nearby pair that we could watch via webcam. The house is very close to Annapolis and we would recommend the trolley ride to tour the beautiful town. In the fall, we had an easy trip into Washington DC via the Metro from the New Carrollton station. We used the owners large crab traps and had success though the fish weren't biting even though we could see and hear them jumping out of the water and the ospreys had no trouble snagging them! We highly recommend Oak Bluff and we will be back!
We rented Oak Bluff to spend a few days with our Midshipman. The drive to the Naval Academy was much quicker than we had expected! We found it very convenient to local amenities. The house, back porch/gazebo and pier perfectly accommodated a small gathering of 4 other Midshipmen and their parents for dinner to celebrate making it through year one. The setting was wonderful to enjoy a morning cup of coffee and relaxing sunsets.
We had the most wonderful vacation @ Oak Bluff. We've been renting vacation rentals for the past 7 years and this one by far was the nicest. It was spacious, clean, quiet, the setting was beautiful and relaxing. We enjoyed our mornings and evenings out in the gazebo. We enjoyed Annapolis only about ten minutes away, touring the Naval Academy, touring the harbor and eating at several great restaurants. In Baltimore, also a close trip, we enjoyed the National aquarium which was the nicest I've seen. Gettysburg was a beautiful drive only a little over an hour away so we toured that. We highly recommend touring the Gettysburg battlefield but also having a meal at the Irish Restaurant in their quaint little downtown.
Thank you William, for provided people like us such a lovely home to vacation at. We would highly recommend Oak Bluff to family and friends and would also enjoy it again in the future. We appreciated all of your help prior to our vacation. Thanks so much!

We had a wonderful time at the house this week. The house was beautiful. We enjoyed the fishing, paddle boat and sitting in the gazebo in the evening. Wednesday evening after a brief rain we saw an amazing double rainbow. We were able to catch enough blue crabs to make the time there complete. It was great and we definitely would recommend the house to others. I don’t know if anyone has mentioned this to you but there are holes in the crab pot. We were able to improvise with the stew pot that was there. Thus be able to feast on those tasty crabs. All in all this was a great experience.
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The home was spacious, well kept and had every amenity we could imagine. The beds were most comfortable, there was plenty of seating space and room to roam. We enjoyed fishing and crabbing off the dock (most successful!) and the gazebo was a serene place to relax and talk. The property felt very private, yet we were close to shopping etc. We even took the commuter bus into DC to do a little sightseeing. The owner was wonderful to work with and we would definitely look forward to a return visit.
We stayed in this house for one week during a family reunion and vacation in Annapolis Maryland. The house is nicely furnished and well kept. It looks exactly as pictured and has all the things one would need, from dishwashing liquid, paper towels, to laundry detergent. The wi-fi worked very well and the crabbing was very good. We caught nearly twenty of crabs during our one week stay. If there was an wish, the shades in the bedrooms could be the darkening kind so the lights do not come in so early... Other than that, it is a perfect vacation house and we enjoyed it very much. Thanks!
