Ready for a fun and relaxing vacation with family or friends? Just steps down to the lake from this fully furnished and updated private 2200 sq. ft. lake front home that has a large private dock including sundeck. This second home sits on a wooded lot in the first cove on the estate side of the Tan Tar-A Resort, with private parking for four cars.

Walk down to the lake for swimming, fishing, maybe catch some sun or climb into your boat or wave runner all from your private dock with ladder. Maybe you would prefer a pool, ok, walk over to one of the large estate pools and enjoy the sun and water. Or maybe you would prefer to just relax on the 45 foot main deck, perfect for entertaining, dining, napping or just taking in a relaxing view of the lake.

For Breakfast, lunch or dinner there is a outdoor gas grill besides the fully equipped kitchen for either indoor or outdoor dining. Three bedrooms with full baths, laundry room, irons/boards in each room. Each bedroom has a balcony or deck access to view the lake.

The master bedroom has a king size bed, Second bedroom upstairs has two queen beds and the third bedroom has two full beds with, cable TV and DVD. The living room has a queen size sleeper sofa, again with cable TV and DVD and a wood burning fireplace.

Golf course, marina with boat and wave runner rentals, boat rides, stables for horseback riding, tennis, touring cart rentals, miniature golf, bowling, gaming arcade and indoor water park in the resort. Pizza at Sbarro's, Burger King, Coffee Shop, bars and restaurants, full service beauty care, spa/salon, massages, all a cove away, and nearby is the 112 store outlet mall.

We purchased our house primarily for it's quiet location and the beauty of the area. We are far enough in our cove to enjoy the views of the main channel but avoid the choppy waters of the main channel. Also with no homes or docks across the cove we enjoy our privacy and love the 1st cove closeness to the resort.

Summer trip to the lake

We enjoyed the home very much and it worked out great for our big family. The only difficulty we had was getting the arrival details from the owner and any details on how to leave the home upon our departure. We did have a great time and the maintenance staff and cleaning staff were very helpful.

Only place to stay on the lake!

Could not have asked for a better place to stay. House sits in a quiet cove with a personal dock to swim off and dock your boat. House is spacious and well kept. My whole family loved it! More than enough space for 5 adults, could accommodate twice that!!! Huge deck was put to good use, just a lovely place all around, looking forward to stay here again soon!!!

Lakefront home - weekend at the Ozarks in Tan-Tar-A

The home is right at lakeside which is what we wanted. Our Regal 25+' boat worked great with the dock and slip. Our grown children and their spouses joined us for the weekend and we spent most of the time on the water.

The home is idyllic --- and comfortable for 6. If our daughter and her family would have joined us, I believe it would have been tight quarters for all of us.

The living room area, kitchen, and main floor bedroom are at ground level and have a great view of the lake. The living room area was rather dark and difficult to see so we opened the curtains most of the time. The screened sliding doors off of the living room and kitchen were not operating very well so did have some troubles with opening and closing.

When you enter the home from the roadside, the bedrooms are right as inside at the top level of the home. While that may seem strange, it did work out well for our grown kids and their spouses. They had privacy upstairs and we took the bedroom at the main level. I wish that room had a king sized bed instead of 2 doubles.

If kids were in the bedrooms upstairs----they would need to come downstairs each time for breakfast, changing into swimsuits, taking naps, etc... It would work well for older kids but could be challenging for little ones. The bedroom at the top level (as you enter the home) and had an ensuite bathroom...was favored by our grown kids. The other bedroom included a bathroom in the hallway. While not a big issue----it could be a privacy issue for some.

I would have liked the deck cleaned and ready to use when we arrived. We own a lake home and I realize how quickly the tree droppings and dust can gather. However, this would have been top on my priority list since we enjoy sitting out on the deck and eating out there. I ended up cleaning the deck cushions, tables, chairs, and spraying off the deck.

A storm came through while we were there and approx. 6" of rain caused some sewer issues. We called the Maintenance contact and they sent someone right over to work on the problem.

It was very nice of the management company to drop by and fill the LP gas on the grill and to make sure we had enough supplies such as toilet paper! It's the little things such as this that make it all worthwhile!

Our "favorites" for the weekend included the dock, the deck, and the kitchen for family cooking time together. We are a boating and outdoors family so this home was wonderful for us! We will book again!

2016 Vacation

We arrived with the house nice and cool. Everything was in its place and beds were nice and comfy. We docked our pontoon on the private dock outside the lake house. There are 33 steps from the deck to the dock if you are counting steps!!!!! We stayed 4 nights and wished we could have stayed longer. I recommend this lakefront rental home for a great vacation getaway.

Thanksgiving Vacation

Very nice and cozy home. Clean and very well stocked. Nice view. We had a nice Thanksgiving dinner with my brother and his family. Enjoyed our time here. It rained while we were here so didn't get to enjoy the deck too much, we are planning to return in the summer, we will definitely consider this home again.

Great Location for 2014 Shootout!

Our family and friends stayed in this home for the 2014 Shootout Boat Races. It is located right off Road KK in the Tan Tar A Estates. We unloaded our boat at the ramp, dropped the trailer and meandered over to this lovely lakeside home. The home was ready upon arrival with easy access by key pad code. Parking was adequate for our 3 vehicles, although tight.

You enter at the upper level into a small foyer. The king bedroom is smallest of the three, but comfortable with closet, balcony, chest, nightstand, chair, TV and small bath with stand up shower. 2nd upstairs bedroom is the largest with two four poster queen beds, balcony, chest, closet, TV and ensuite bath with combo tub/shower.

Down the rather narrow stairs you enter the living/dining area with attached kitchen. The living area is nicely furnished with hide a bed couch, 3 chairs, tables, TV, lamps, fireplace and balcony access. Dining room table for 6 plus 2 bar stools and another balcony access makes it easy to dine inside or out. Kitchen has granite countertops and was well stocked with everything needed for entertaining, cooking and dining. A nice sized utility room with full sized washer and dryer is just off the kitchen.

Down the hall is the main bath, large with Jacuzzi tub and shower and across the hall is the 3rd bedroom highlighted with a rock wall from the back of the fireplace, skylights and balcony entrance to the main deck. 2 full beds, chest, TV and small table and chairs made it very comfy. All the rooms were well cooled with separate hotel like wall units.

The outside deck is large and overlooks the lake and boat dock. It has plenty of nice seating, dining tables, charcoalers, water toys and the lighting was okay, although we never found the switch for the outside steps. Down you go to the lake, and the boat dock that fit our 24 footer with room to spare. The deck is great for sunbathing and hanging out, although the ladder was broken, but we used our boat for in/out water access.

Would recommend this house for a great stay at Lake of the Ozarks. Just fyi, there are many steps and is not for the faint of heart, the physically challenged or after over imbibing on alcohol.

Also, a note to the owners that the housekeeping could be improved. Some mold in the showers, old leftover food in the fridge and pantry, cobwebs and unnecessary "clutter" stuffed in the corners, under the stairwell and on the deck was rather unsightly, otherwise a great stay!
