"We have rented many condos & houses over the
years & this was one of our nicest experiences. We
had 12 people & lots of room & beautiful furniture.
We were there for a funeral at Arlington, with
family meeting there from all over including Hawaii
& the mainland.
Thanks again to Amy for helping to make this a go.
Jane & Phil"
Thank you so much for providing such a wonderful venue to accommodate our entire group. Everything was perfect! The house was very clean and had everything we needed. Your home made our long awaited Ring Dance at the US Naval Academy that much better. Thank you again.
This house is huge, bigger than we actually needed, but allowed everyone a choice of bedrooms. The bedrooms we used were very comfortable - good beds and plenty of drawer space for clothes. We had plenty of hot water, but 2 of the upstairs bathrooms didn't have towel rods and the third had a fairly small one. Since two of the three are meant to be shared bathrooms, that was a problem for us. There is also a bathroom downstairs. Downstairs are a comfy family dining room that seated 6 (perfect for us) and a formal dining room with a table large enough for 12, and since there are 6 of us and we invited 6 other relatives for dinner, that was great. There is a large formal living room that we used for the party for our relatives and a family room with extremely comfortable leather furniture that we used every day to watch the huge TV. The kitchen has all the appliances one might need (coffee maker, toaster, microwave, toaster oven). But there was a stovetop with a sign that said it needed repair and that didn't happen until Thursday of our week's stay which started on Saturday (butane burners were provided but they had a caution notice not to use them indoors). When Amy, who is I think a manager or agent for Stella, found out about the caution, she took them away and someone came to repair the stovetop, but we only had use of it Thursday night, Friday, and Saturday morning. There were a couple less serious problems which Amy sent someone to take care of quickly (disposal didn't work, which may have caused the dishwasher to back up.) All in all, it was a reasonably priced, comfortable house, short driving distance to a metro stop to get into DC, and Amy was quick to respond to problems, but we were kind of bummed that we didn't have the stovetop from the beginning as we had bought groceries expecting to cook family dinners. A text or email mentioning the non-functioning stovetop would have helped us know not to buy some of the kinds of food we brought, and a quicker repair would have been helpful.
Me and grandkids and daughter stayed in Annandale,va and commuted back and forth to d.c..our stay at the house was great.all the rooms were big and comfortable.would stay there again.it was just great.
We had a nice few days at this great property. It was a goof fit for us as we needed a lot of bedrooms. Location was good for sightseeing the center of Washington DC. Of course you always need a car but this I necessary in any case.
If again with this quantity of people I would not hesitate in renting this property again.
This was a delightful house for our Girl's Getaway. We chose Washington D.C. as a destination for all there is to see and do. It was also centrally located from our homes in Florida and NY. It is located in a quiet suburban area only a short drive to all the area offers. Very close to Old Town, Alexandria and it's bustling shops, restaurants and waterfront attractions. Convenient to DC either by car or Metrorail. Also, it is very affordable for the DC area.
This rental house is extremely spacious and comfortably appointed. Six upstairs bedrooms and 4 full bathrooms provided ample accommodation for five woman. The bedrooms are all large and nice with comfortable beds. Downstairs kitchen and dining areas were wonderful for gathering and enjoying food and conversation. Everything was clean and in working order. Stella was terrific, easy to reach with a question, and immediately available when we needed her. (Our only trouble was getting access on arrival, due to code not having been activated for us) Thank you Stella.
We were extremely pleased and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this splendid house. We had a great time and couldn't have asked for more. I don't hesitate to recommend, if you are visiting this area. You will find this property to be exactly as listed and the rental process smooth and effortless.
We rented this home to attend a funeral at Arlington National Cemetery. The location is great and the spaciousness was wonderful. I just wished there were more towels. We would definitely rent this home again - in a heartbeat!
