Fabulous home - location, location, location!

  • 5 of 5

Our family enjoyed a wonderful week in Siesta Key - close to the main village yet quiet and private. Rooms were tastefully decorated and kitchen well stocked. It was a great perk to have laundry , cable, internet and a new TV in each bed room as well as living room. Everything was walking distance so no need to drive once we arrived. The owner was extremely attentive and made us feel very welcomed. We did bring our family dog and appreciated the large fenced yard. This is a great home!!!!

Beautifully Decorated Siesta Key Home!

  • 5 of 5

This home is a wonderful find for the new and experienced vacation home renters. The location is 8-10 minutes from the beach and 5-8 minutes from the village. You don't even need a vehicle! If you want transportation, there are so many options available to you right in town!

The house itself is beautifully decorated with a beach/island theme and is very clean. It has two bedrooms, one with two twins and the other with a queen. The bathroom is adjoining the two rooms, which was a convenience for us all. The living room is very spacious and the cable access is amazing, though we didn't take advantage of watching much t.v. Even when it rained, it was nice to just sit on the front or back porch and relax. There is a walk-in wash room with a full-size washer and dryer that also leads to the back deck. The kitchen is a full size kitchen with a full range, dishwasher and full size refrigerator/freezer. Plenty of room to cook a feast. There is a gas grill and plenty of seating on the back deck and in the back yard.

The owner advertises the studio unit which is on the property, but it is private and separate from the house behind a 6ft + fence. We never seen the tenants, only their vehicle in the driveway. The driveway has plenty of room. There are separate driveways for each property and a driveway by the canal right across the road.

The canal dock access is across the road and has chairs to enjoy the view. We would sit and enjoy watching the wildlife and other dock tenants along the canal.

As for the owner, you couldn't ask for anyone better. We've stayed in plenty of vacation homes where the owner doesn't return phone calls or address your needs/concerns during your stay. That wasn't the case. Any time I called, I had a return phone call and I was updated on any concerns they had as well. That says a lot! Especially since I called for a non-urgent issue and I received a return call shortly after!

I would definitely recommend the Island Breeze to anyone looking for a quiet home away from the hustle and bustle of the main road but still close to town and the beach. This place is great and we look forward to staying here in the future!

Home away from Home... but with a beach

  • 5 of 5

My family and I stayed here over labor day weekend 2012. Jim has thought of every detail right down to a pitcher for making my favorite mint sweet tea! We enjoyed the beaches, the restaurants, sites, even went kayaking in Lido Key with dolphins! Picture perfect. We left the dog at a boarding house this time but if we don't move to Sarasota before summer 2013, he'll come with us. Price is unbelievable for the quality, cleanliness and location. Bikes were a big plus and so much fun. We made so many memories and look forward to making more!

Great Vacation Home !!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I loved this house, and our two pugs loved it too. The house was very clean and nicely decorated, very Florida-ish. The discripton in this listing doesn't really do the house justice, one really needs to see the video at the mentioned web site.

It is very close to the "action", the Village and beaches (Siesta and Turtle); but, it is in a very quiet neighborhood. The weather was great, sunny and warm almost every day. There were many craft shows for us to attend on the Key and nearby Longboat Key.

Jim was a great host. He was there to meet us as soon as we arrived. He made sure we understood how to use everything in the house, like the TV and Internet service.

We strongly recommend this house.

Wonderful home & vacation!

  • 5 of 5

My husband & I stayed here in August 2009 w/ our 4 children. We absolutely loved the home & Siesta Key! The home was exactly as the pictures described... beautiful! The home was extremely clean & far exceeded our expectations!

The owner of the property was wonderful! He helped w/ any questions we had before we arrived. He also met us there to check us in & answer more questions & show us around. Plus, he provided beach bikes for all 4 of my children! This was a big plus, as we were coming from Maryland & did not have to lug them w/ us! The kids loved being able to go across the street to the canal & also had fun riding the bikes to the village for ice cream at the Big Olaf.

The 6 of us had plenty of room in this house to spread out & relax!

The kitchen had everything you need in order to cook meals & having the linens for the beds already in the house, also was a big help!

We had twins this passed year & so unfortunately we've outgrown this house, but if not we would definately have stayed again & again!!! A+++

Notes:
This home has its own new boat dock on the Grand Canal directly across the street. I consider this a waterfront view of the Grand Canal directly across the street from the home. A little more information on the television service. I have Verizon Fios which includes high definition tv, 25/15 wired or wireless internet and unlimited long distance.
