This is a Hawaiian Style apartment located on Kailua Beach, one of Hawaii's most beautiful of white sand beaches. Kailua Beach has been rated tops among USA's best beaches.

The apartment is located in the back portion of a beachfront home with its own private entrance and has convenient parking on driveway just outside the rental unit. The bedroom has a king-size bed and ceiling fan. The sitting room includes a futon couch-bed and futon lounge chair with leg rest, room accordion sliding divider door, and second ceiling fan. There are floor to ceiling louver windows for cool breeze flow an ventilation. The unit also has a large study desk/ table, TV with cable an DVD player, radio, and unit is computer “WIFI” wireless ready. The kitchenette is fully equipped with a microwave, large sink, Kreuig coffeemaker, refrigerator with great ice maker, hot plate, toaster, saute pans, dishes, and utensils. There is a connecting private bathroom and shower supplied with bath towels sets an beach towels.

Rental has direct access to front lawn sitting area where tenants can relax an enjoy the spectacular panoramic view of Kailua Bay and Mokulua Twin Islands, and there steps just at the yards corner to the beach. Lounge & beach chairs and boogie boards are included for use at rental premise only. There are out side showers, hose, an faucets for rinsing after going to beach and swimming. There is a convenient clothes line right outside rental door for drying suits, towels, an clothes.

Rates are based on 1-2 people. There is a maximum occupancy of 3 persons (3 nights only for third person), with an extra charge for a third person. We accept children of at least 15 yrs old.

During Christmas & New Year holiday periods, we have a 6 day minimum booking, including the holiday. Any vacancies within 1 month of a holiday period, we then begin to book at our 2 day minimum.

All reservations are booked on a “first come basis”.

We kindly ask our tenants to keep their guests and visiting to a “minimal", and out side on front lawn, or the beach. NO animals are allowed on premise. Younger children need to be in accompaniment of an adult guest. The rental facility is strictly for our tenants use only.

There is 'NO Smoking' permitted in rental premise.

Stunningly gorgeous setting! Great place to stay - has everything you need and friendly owners too!

Owners are so warm and generous with tips to local hikes, restaurants, maps etc. The place is perfect studio apartment for a couple -- ours was a 50th birthday celebration trip for just husband and wife. The kitchen was great -- especially the icemaker for filling our little cooler and we used the washer and dryer several times. Thanks to owners for having beach chairs and beach towels and extra bath towels for our use. The little book they made up of maps and local kayak companies numbers etc was a sweet touch. Loved catching sunrise every morning from the beach that is just outside the door. We chose this location for proximity to Lanikai beach and found the even closer Kailua Beach Park just as lovely -- same impossibly blue water. We enjoyed driving over to Hanauma Bay one day and driving up to the Pali lookout as well. And the little hike to the pillboxes over Lanikai beach is steep STEEP! but soo worth it. Bring your camera for amazing panoramic views. For dinner, we loved the Thai place and the Crepe place was really delicious (esp the Healthy Alternative crepe with strawberries, bananas, granola, yogurt and honey. Yummo!) We had a great time. This was the perfect place to stay -- has everything you need with the ocean right there and generous hosts who were available when we needed them but we had plenty of privacy as well. Great location, clean and lovely!

My husband and I recently spent 11 days in Herb and Shari's rental on Kailua beach. We could not have been more comfortable, and we were so taken with the beauty of the beach. The location was fabulous, close to our fav places to eat, and to all the great sites on the island. We loved not being in the hustle and bustle of Honolulu, and yet close enough to drive in for restaurants and shopping. It was truly a relaxing time for us, and met our expectations.

The unit is so clean, with every convenience we needed. Spacious too. Shari, thank you for the guava jelly, it was delicious!

Relaxing Stay

Perfect Hideaway at the best location on Kailua beach . We enjoyed our morning walks on the beach . Shari and Herb were great hosts being long time local residents. This is so much better than staying in the hustle and bustle of town or Waikiki ! Great spot if you are into Windsurfing or Kitesurfing . We are looking forward to our next get away ! Aloha

This was by far the best rental out there. Beautiful waterfront without all the crowds of other nearby beaches. The apartment was perfect for my mom and I with all the little extras that you could think of. We couldn't have been more comfortable. Very close to Kailua town for everything else you may need. The owners have thought of everything in this apartment. The ice maker in the fridge was an added bonus. Enjoyed our conversations with the owner Sherri and she was very helpful giving us information about the area. Would highly recommend this rental! Thanks again Sherri!!

Better than advertised!

What a delight to find a VRBO rental that exceeds expectations. Things were better than expected from the description and the photos, except that the view when seated on the grass is restricted by the vegetation. The answer is to simply walk the few extra feet to the absolutely beautiful beach that is quite empty during the week. The rental comes with everything one could possibly need (other than a washer/dryer) and a very helpful owner. Wi-Fi was very good when we were there. It was very quiet day and night except for one night where a neighbor was blaring his TV so much during sleep time that the owner had to call the police. While that would normally rate a four star rating, the location and price for value made up for it.

Living the dream!

We have stayed many places in Hawaii, visiting several times a year, since 2001. Some places more opulent than others, some places with more amenities than others, but THIS place is our hands-down favorite. We love the ambiance, the "ohana" and of course, the beach. You can delude yourself while on vacation there, that you are beach front owners, nipping on and off the beach at will.

This was the best possible recovery from unexpected knee surgery and a delightful Christmas all around.

Thank you Herb and Shari for making us feel like family coming home - we'll be back!
