Overview

Michigan Lodge Rental Photos and Description

Lodge, 5 Bedrooms + Loft, 3.5 Baths, (Sleeps 14-16)

Eagles Wings Lodge is a 6 bedroom and 3 1/2 bathroom masterpiece that combines 3000 square foot of space with large doses of cozy comfort. Prepare to be transported back to the days of lumber barons as you enjoy modern 'rustic' luxury. Bordering hundreds of acres of state wet-lands, most mornings feature a mix of deer, rabbits, fox and any number of wild birds in the back yard. Log railings guard every stair and trees growing out of the floor bear the weight of this custom home overlooking the Pere Marquette River. Sleeping 16 people with no sleeper sofas, the lodge can easily accommodate multiple families, wedding parties and group retreats. Linens and towels provided for 16. Please bring your beach towels. Our favorite 'locals' beach is only 2 miles away.

A large log deck houses seating for all and a 4 burner grill. This is a wonderful place to sit over the river flats in the cool shade of evening. At the bottom of the stairs you will find a fire pit in the yard with room for all. S'mores anyone?

The gourmet kitchen is fully equipped with new high end appliances, utensils, place setting, pots and pans, etc. to serve your large party. This kitchen is a joy to cook in.

In order to accommodate 16 guests we have combined the dining room and living room and what a 'great' room it has become! Whether you are enjoying the view, snuggling up to the fireplace or watching a game on the 42' flat screen, this room is hard to leave.

The master bedroom is a log lined masterpiece. It features its own double bowl, double shower master bathroom.

The ground floor features 2 more rooms. First is the den. This is a great spot to get away from the big screen and have a more private chat or turn on the 16' TV.

Second is the Powder Room/Laundry. This is a cute 1/2 bath with full size laundry hiding in the closet.

Sleeping quarters. The second floor houses 3 themed private bedrooms with queen/full size beds, dressers, lamps and linens. These bedrooms share a large full bathroom with a soaking tub. One of these rooms takes the view to another level.

Also featured on this floor is our Americana Suite. With 3 queen beds, a huge closet, a 27' TV/DVD and its own full bath, this suite is almost its own private escape.

Last but not least is the Eagles Nest Loft. Climb a log ladder up to your very own indoor campsite bedroom. Kids go nuts for this space! They also get the best view on the property!

This Property is brand new and absolutely stunning! We are also equipped as a small Retreat Center including services such as catering, conference room amenities and local fishing/hunting services.

The perfect house

  • 5 of 5

This house and the owners are wonderful! We had our company holiday party here with 13 people. The owners even come early and had the whole house decorated and it was beautiful. You could not ask for better hospitality! The kitchen is fully stocked, including 2 crockpots and lots of spices. All the bedrooms have comfortable beds and comfortable linens. The upstairs loft has two cots for sleeping. The loft is pretty much for children or teens and should not be counted on as comfortable sleeping for adults. The owners also let us use their Wii, which we had a ton of fun with. There are lots of games and lots of comfortable sitting areas. There is an additional couch and recliner with tv room off the entrance that makes a nice little getaway from the main area. The hot tub is fantastic. The view out the windows in the livingroom is breathtaking.

The house was incredibly clean and the decor makes you feel right at home and extremely comfortable. Everything was in working order in this house. If you are looking for a house this size, in this area, look no further, rent this house!

Owner's Response: Wow! Thank you so much for all the kind words. We are so glad you enjoyed yourselves. We will be sure to provide a good quality blow up or something similar for the loft from now on. Again, thanks for staying with us and sending this nice review.

Relaxing & Cozy Winter Getaway with a View

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed a lovely 3-day winter getaway at the Eagles' Wings Lodge. Arriving on a cold, snowy day were happy to see the parking was plentiful and level with the road. Upon entering the home, we were greeted by a spacious entry and gorgeous rustic detailing from floor to ceiling. The large, open floor plan is ideal for a vacation because whether cooking, watching tv, reading, or playing a game, it is nice to have the family congregate in one main area. Conveniently located to the left of the entryway is a 1/2 bathroom/closeted laundry. To the right is a den area, and across the way is the master bedroom suite with its own full bathroom, that can be closed off via a pocket door or left open for use as a 2nd main floor bathroom. The hot tub is on the deck just off the back of the home and overlooks a natural area that stretches back as far as the eye can see. It's quite a view, especially covered in a blanket of snow. One side note, my mother was with us and she is recovering from hip surgery. The layout of this property is ideal for her because we gave her the master bedroom and she was able to move about without worrying about any stairs. Everything she needed is on the main floor.

The staircase winds up to an open sitting area on the second-floor. Off of this space are three bedrooms and another full-size bathroom. Also, off of this space is the Americana suite, boasting three queen-size beds and its own full bathroom. Just off the center of the sitting area is a log ladder providing a gentle incline to the sleeping loft. The sleeping loft is super cool. We didn't have kids with us but checked it out nonetheless. It's like a treehouse nest and feels super fun.

The furnishings and decor are primarily themed rustic lodge, think Montana, and are in gently used condition. A lot of thought has been put into making sure guests are comfortable including a plentiful supply of blankets and other comfort conveniences. Crystal is very kind to deal with and truly accommodating.

We enjoyed walks on the beach and seeing stunning water formations that were frozen in suspended animation. We also took long walks in the forest just across the street. I know summer is peak season for Michigan's coastline, but our winter weekend was truly a relaxing and special time.

Better than expected, high quality

  • 4 of 5

The stay was wonderful. The place was clean and up-to-date. We had everything we needed, dishes, towels, etc. There was plenty of room for everyone. The hot tub was a hit as well. The only thing that was poor was the response time. It would take 1-2 weeks to get a response back from an email on a quick question. We loved the house and would of definitely considered staying again if it was easier to get in touch with the owners.

Great stay for our hockey tournament

  • 5 of 5

My hockey team had a tournament in Ludington. Fourteen of us stayed at the Lodge and the rest at a near by hotel and commuted for team dinners. It was a great place to stay. The lodge is beautiful and has lots of room. Owners were great to work with. we would go back in a minute. Thanks.

Warm, inviting, comfortable, spacious, delightful!

  • 5 of 5

Our family was looking forward to spending time together and Eagles Wings provided us with the space and comfort to accommodate all our needs. There was plenty of activities to choose from in the Ludington area; the kayaking was great fun, the beach was fantastic (although Lake Michigan could have been a touch warmer) and Ludington itself is a very charming town. The lodge was a delight with all the unique uses of trees and branches! We loved it. We would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful place for a gathering. There is room enough for quiet space and room enough to enjoy the company, play games, solve puzzles and soak in the hot tub! The kitchen and the grill on the deck worked very well in meal preparation - and then sharing the meals we created or cleaned up after, added to the pleasure of being together. Thank you very much for the hospitality of Eagles Wings Lodge.!
