I couldn't have dreamt of a more beautiful place for our anniversary. The views, the crashing waves, the sealions on the beach below make this a spectacular vacation spot. We can't
wait to return!
Clean and very accommodating, breathtaking views, beach hike well worth danger
Home was well kept, clean, and quiet. The bed was comfortable. A full kitchen is available if you want to cook. There are not many restaurants in Trinidad, but a nice grocery store in town. Easy drive to the various redwood forests. There is a hot tub and sauna that we did not use, but appears to be well maintained. The view of the ocean was spectacular. A trail leads to the beach and it is worth the trip. Trail is steep and need to be in decent shape. Would recommend property highly for a nice getaway. Curtis was very helpful.
Curtis, the owner, has carved out a little piece of paradise and is willing to share with you. Forget about that hotel stay or bed and breakfast, this place has them all beat. Bring robes for the trip between the house and the sauna or hot tub.
We stayed two nights, next time we will make it three. The place was small and cozy, quirky decor, had everything we needed. There was a bottle of wine waiting for us when we go there which was an unexpected nice touch. The hot tub was so great, we watched the sunset from it and it doesn't get better than that.
We absolutely enjoyed it.
*note for anyone who is sensitive to perfume: there were Glade plugins used and a scented candle in the cabinet with the cups that perfumed several cups. It didn't bother us at all but it's a heads up for anyone who suffers from perfume allergies.
We needed to relax and just get away from it all, this house offers a magical retreat for doing just that. The views, the hot tub, the beach, all the fine details added to a luxurious and memorable experience that is now at the top of my favorite things list. The trail to the beach is AMAZING! My husband and I commented several times that the price for the stay could be charged for the hot tub alone...the sauna also has an ocean view. If you are looking for the best, this is it. Thank you Curtis for the outstanding hospitality and attention to detail. Larrupin's less than one mile away provided an amazing dinner for my husband and I to celebrate our anniversary and a new experience, the Moonstone Grill, was the ultimate Valentine's Day dinner on the beach. I must admit, it was hard to leave the house, even for a wonderful dinner. We hope to be back soon!
Trinidad is the southern gateway to Redwood National park and Patricks Point State Park and on the Pacific Ocean.
