MaryJean and Terry have lived in Sonoma since 1975 after moving there from their native San Francisco. They've raised two children here, and are helping now and then with 4 grand children . They've run a successful family plumbing business in Sonoma for the last 20+ years and are slowly letting go and letting the next generation take over.
After renting homes while on vacations themselves they decided to convert a rental they owned into a vacation home, mostly due to the location on Broadway. It's a short walk, bike ride or drive to many of the excellent wineries, restaurants, shops and historical sites Sonoma Valley is known for.
The apartment is an awesome, restful place to stay in Sonoma. We only live an hour away in Northern Sonoma County but it was worth it to stay there while attending a weekend event in town. We were very impressed by how tastefully it is decorated and how well-stocked it is for your every comfort! The beds and pillows were very comfortable and the large bathrooms are fantastic. Terry and his family were so easy to work with and very accommodating. You will NOT be disappointed if you choose to stay here.
The apt. was very comfortable for two couples and the owners were very accommodating in letting us check in early. Beds and baths were spacious and clean. Kitchen had all of the essentials. Property was within walking distance to the town square.
Upon arrival, we felt immediately comfortable in MaryJean's Place. It was clean, spacious and accomodating. Being four women, we particularly liked the large bathrooms. The proximity to the Sonoma Square was nice allowing us to choose from the various shops and restaurants.
We will definitely be back and thank Terry for offering such a lovely space to celebrate my daughter's Bachelorette get-away!!
Stayed here with my wife, newborn, and parents and there was more than enough space for us all. Everything was truly great-- well outfitted kitchen, convenient location, friendly and helpful owners. They really go above and beyond to provide the extra touches to make your stay great, including games, movies, etc. to keep you occupied in the unit and tons of useful information on the area.

This very large two bedroom, two bathroom, full kitchen unit was just what we needed for our stay in the Sonoma area. My wife could walk to the Sonoma Town Square in 15 minutes, it took me about the same to drive to the Sonoma Raceway each morning. The unit has a full sized washer and dryer, great full service kitchen that is very well equipped with everything you would need to prepare just about any meal, the whole place is tastefully remodeled with a lot of room for spreading out luggage/clothes with plenty of counter space in the kitchen and bathrooms. Although located on the main route into Sonoma, there was never any traffic noise during the day or night, no noise from the adjacent neighbors/businesses, and always had plenty of parking in front of the unit. Lots of space in every room, exceptionally clean and tidy with no hand-me-down furnishing or accessories as often encountered in rental or vacation units. Terry was very accommodating and available, but he was not needed as all questions were either addressed in the "lodgers book" he provided or were self-explanatory by the design of the apartment after looking around in the drawers of shelves in the kitchen. Having recently remodeled some rental units myself, the high-end windows, shutters, kitchen cabinets, complete bathrooms/fixtures, beds and bedding, ceiling fans and wall treatments, were all very apparent and well done. This was no amateur remodel, no skimping on costs or quality here. All very comfortable with over-stuffed chairs in the living room, large dining table for 6+, great natural lighting, and an AC unit that really worked in the 90+ degree outside temps (too cold for us when we arrived but easily adjusted and delightful in the evening with the AC off and some windows open). We have already recommend this unit to some friends, one friend who visited us is already planning a stay here later this year in this place.
