This is the one - as an enthusiastic guest describes our Holiday Villa Lazy Days. Actually, there is not much to say about it. Even if you expect luxury, comfort and a "bit" more on equipment and design on holiday, then you will meet with the selection of our holiday home definitely the right choice.

The villa, built in 2013 Lazy Days is located in the southwest of Cape Coral and is located in a quiet side street with no through traffic with landscaped grounds in the neighborhood. For this location is within walking to Cape Harbour is just perfect. No long journeys or parking hassles if you evening in the popular restaurant "Rumrunners" delicious, highly acclaimed dining or just still want to enjoy a "nightcap" in one of the inviting outdoor bars. In one or another beer or cocktail longer it is no longer relevant, and you need not fear police control, because you can go home on foot, sit on the large dock and enjoy the sunset. Oh, life can be so beautiful!

By boat (optional), which depends directly on the hotel's own boat lift, one is from the Cape Harbour area in a short drive to the Caloosahatchee River and from there to the Gulf of Mexico. From here, you can z. B. the beautiful beaches of Sanibel Captiva Iceland or "conquer", which are from the car difficult to detect.

The decoration is modern and high quality and provides inter alia:

About Hans Guenter Laukat

Prior to the purchase of our villa, we spent a lot of holidays in Cape Coral. We were immediately fascinated by the 'Venetian' flair of the city and the noticeable lifestyle of Florida: no shoes - no shirts - no problems. This made us become "repeating tenants'' as recurring holidaymakers are often referred to jokingly.

In the meantime, we asked ourselves more and more whether a own house, furnished according to our own style and taste, and with the comforts of the residential home, would be the better alternative. In Spring 2013, we finally answered this question and purchased Villa Lazy Days. For us were the most important criteria high ceilings, large sliding windows and a spacious living / dining area. The properties in the neighborhood should be of more or less high quality and well maintained. Most important to us, however, was the journey by boat to the Caloosahatchee River. We felt it is disadvantageous to access the Gulf if the rented object is too far north of the Cape Coral Parkway.

The villa offers a modern interior design (high ceilings, large windows, modern and efficient air conditioning, switchable ceiling fans). The equipment is absolutely of high quality and is kept permanently on this level. To ensure no stains on the carpets we equipped wooden floors in all bedrooms and in the study. This serves not only a nice overall impression but also aspects of hygiene. The furniture does not correspond to the often found plush furnishing style or the rattan equipment of a pure return object. We place emphasis on style and ambience, not only at home, but also at our second home.

We always enjoy our stay in our own house very much and it is hard to get back into the German everyday life and to put the Florida lifestyle "no shoes ... .." again.

We strive to be on the spot at least twice a year to maintain the high quality standard of our house for our guests,e.g. regular exchange of bathing and hand towels, bed linen or replacing the damaged or missing parts.

What makes this villa unique

As committed 'boaters', the short journey to the river and to the Gulf is decisive for us. The sluice (which is not a real sluice because no height differences are compensated) is merely a locking mechanism. Even for the less experienced skipper, the short passage through the sluice is not a big challenge.

One more useful info for Boater. All holiday homes in the southwest of Cape Coral, which are located to the north of the Cape Coral Parkway, have more than 1 hour driving through the canals to the river.

The functions of the pools are controlled via a mini iPad such. B. Water temperature, underwater lighting, color changes, Heating, waterfall, pool pump, etc. The pool deck is called a. 'Screen' (mosquito nets) hemmed so that you can enjoy wine relax and enjoy the evenings on the terrace by candlelight and a glass. The windows in the bedrooms are provided with mosquito nets. In a cabinet of Masterbed rooms there is a small document safe, as it is also available in many hotel rooms.

Great time!

Had a great time. Villa was well equipped and very clean. We would stay again. Owner responded to emails quickly before we arrived. Management company was easily reached and very nice during our stay!

If I was to say anything negative there were a few things. But again, not big issues as my family would definitely go back...

1. Even though the lanai is screened in, the pool had many insects floating, maybe gnats. The pool filter did not do a great job cleaning the surface. We would skim the water by hand to clean better.

2. Probably an issue at many homes this time of year in this area, but do not leave any sweet food uncovered in kitchen or it will draw in sugar ants!

3. We rented a boat which we tied up to the beautiful dock. Even though the home is near Cape Harbour, it took at least 30 minutes to get to open water.

4. Wish there was a door between the master bedroom and bathroom.

What else can you wish for. This place is nice!

We thoroughly enjoyed our 1 week stay with our family of 4 in late May. We have 2 boys, 9 and 16 years old. The house is large enough for each to have their own bedroom.

Let me start by saying, this house is beautiful! Furniture and appliances are of very nice quality, modern and tasteful. The layout is perfect, beautiful master bathroom. Fantastic outdoor seating, which works really well in the hotter days of the year (facing North, keeps the patio bearable). Tasteful salt water pool with hot tub that was used all day everyday by the kids, and us of course. Magnificent view of the canal, your own boat dock/lift, tiki seating on the water, watching the fish jump all day long. All the electronics you can dream of (leave that to the Germans ;) This place is worth the money. Don't worry.

Here's a quick list of pros and cons.

Pro's: Quality, luxury, completeness, close to supermarket and restaurants, access to open water, fair price. Very friendly and professional people to deal with. Payment and everything else was very easy, and without any stress.

Con's: These are more meant to make you aware of some things, as they really did not detract from our overall experience. I.e. for us they were minor:

It takes about 25 minutes to get to open water through the canals. The beach equipment in the house could use a minor upgrade, they were Walmart quality. (It's nearly impossible to bring this stuff yourself, so kind of essential if you want to enjoy the beach). The airco is slightly undersized in my opinion. On a 90+ day the house will not get cooler than 78 (25C) in the afternoons and evening, which is just bearable. I though that could be a little better for a million dollar home. Also, expect a small extra charge for energy use, and if you want to rent a boat, they seem to run about 500-1000 for a few days to 1000-1500 for a week.

Once again, do not hesitate to rent this house. You WILL love it!
