Comment rating: Positive Comments: Comment Text: This is a gorgeous condo in a very convenient location in downtown Ashland, Wisconsin. The view is perfect from the floor to ceiling windows and deck. The beds are comfortable, the appliances are new and the rooms are big and clean. We could not have been more happy with our stay.
Everything about this place was wonderful for us. There is only one thing to change and that is the front bedrooms need heavy drapery to block out street sound and extra bright morning sun. Change that and this would be a perfect place to stay.
We had a great visit, the only thing I would suggest would be to add more screens to windows and try and get rid of the moth ball smell in the stairwell.
Had a great time in Ashland. As many others mentioned the traffic noise is loud but I had no problems sleeping. The view of the lake certainly made up for it! The only downside for me was the lack of cable or even old fashion rabbit ears to at least watch the local stations for news in the mornings and evenings. Would most definitely stay again!
The basics were met, the location okay and the view was great.
It pains me to give a three star review, especially because I appreciate that an old home was lovingly renovated for this space. The view, as other views have mentioned, is incredible. Top notch. I appreciated the large kitchen, especially during meal prep. Access to downtown Ashland and the lakeside walking path is just great - we loved the walkability. But the road noise was just too much, even for my husband who is NOT a light sleeper. Hwy 2 is a major truck route and there are 18-wheelers running past the house all night - my preschooler was up a ton because of the road noise. If you stay here with small children, pack Benadryl!
bike trail adjacent to property. Beautiful Marina View. Close to all city attractions. City Theatre across the street 1 block away, can see from front porch, as well as local restaurants and shopping. Bayfield attractions a short 23 miles away.
