Renovated in January 2013, the newly refurbished Apartment Donaublick is located in the 2nd. District in the 3rd Floor (lift available) and offers on 100 m2 space for 2 - 6 (8) persons.

The apartment is located directly on the Danube, in the center of Vienna.

From bedroom and room I you can see the Danube, the Reichsbrücke and the UNO-Center.

Each room is accessible from the anteroom, the 3 bedrooms are lockable. Wireless internet access via W-LAN is available.

In the living room a parquet floor is laid, all other rooms are equipped with laminate floors.

There is general smoking ban in apartment and staircase. Please only smoke outside.

For bicycles, a storage room is available on request. For longer stays change of linen on request for an extra charge possible.

KITCHEN: Dishwasher, freezer and fridge, electric cooker with ceramic hob and oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, egg cooker, blender, dining table for 4 people, crockery, cutlery, cookware, kettle.

Comfy and spacious

Incredibly comfortable flat! Spacious and well stocked we felt completely at home here. The apartment was spotlessly clean and had easy access to all forms of public transportation. On the one night we stayed in we were able to cook a delicious meal and relax on the comfy couch. Perfect spot to call home during a trip to Vienna!

I returned from Vienna yesterday having spent four days with my daughter and sister in law at this apartment. The third floor apartment itself is very spacious, comfortable, clean, well equipped and quiet. It is easily accessible via a lift. From the front two bedrooms there is a view of the Danube directly across the road. There is a supermarket in the next block.

Despite being a couple of miles outside Vienna city centre we travelled in on the U Bahn from Krieau station 5 minutes walk away. The weekly (Monday to Sunday) integrated transport ticket allowed us travel across the city for €16.20 and was purchased from a local Tabak. As an individual journey is €2.20 this is excellent value if you are in the city for a few days and the system is very easy to use.

On arrival we were met by Herr Michael who was very friendly, charming and helpful.

The only niggles we had about the whole experience was the lack of mirrors in each of the bedrooms. We also had a very challenging time opening a bottle of wine one evening due to the shortage of a corkscrew! But determination won out in the end! All in all our stay at this apartmet only added to what was a very enjoyable few days in this beautiful city! I would highly recommend it!

Very nice apartment

The apartment is spacious, comfortable, clean and well equipped. The location is also good with two tram stations nearby and grocery stores to choose from. Susanne was always available and her assistant was very helpful and provided all sorts of information. We also enjoyed our walks along the Danube, which can be easily accessed from the apartment. The area around the apartment is worth exploring.

Roomy and comfortable

A lovely, well-appointed apartment close to the economics university, to Vienna's great commercial exhibition center and to the Prater, a memorable amusement park dating to the late 19th century. 10-12 minutes walk to the Messe Prater subway station, from which you can travel almost anywhere in the city for €2.20.

Elevator works perfectly for bringing up bags, and goodies from two supermarkets in easy waking distance.

Great Stay in Vienna

Visited Vienna for a conference in May 2017 and really enjoyed our week-long stay. Susanne answered all of our questions quickly, both during the booking process and during our stay. Michael met us on arrival and was very friendly and efficient. Check in and check out was a breeze.

The location was perfect - less than a 10 minute walk to Wien Messe and in a quiet neighbourhood. It's also easy to access from other areas of Vienna, using the U-Bahn line 2 stations Messe-Prater or Krieau.

The apartment was just as advertised - spacious, clean, with a well-equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. The wi-fi worked very well, and there is a large screen TV with several English channels. It has excellent quality windows - there is a rail line just outside the apartment, but we barely heard the trains going by or general traffic noise. The lift is small but functional for two people and luggage.

As others have noted, there is a Billa grocery store just across the street which had everything you might need for your stay. As well, there is a Spar about 5 minutes walk (just opposite the Krieau U-Bahn station) and a large Merkur in the Stadion Center (about 25 minute walk). We tried a few restaurants in the area - our favourite was the Schweizerhaus located in the Prater. Their specialty is a roasted pork knuckle - one is definitely enough for two, maybe three!

We would highly recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Vienna.

In the immediate vicinity there is a supermarket, a shopping center is about 10 minutes' walk.

In a few minutes you can walk to the exhibition center and the Wiener Prater. The U2 takes you in 5 minutes to the Lusthaus, Ernst Happel Stadium, Stadionbad, Danube Island and the Inner City.

The proximity to Vienna Prater and the Danube Island, the two largest and most important recreational areas of Vienna, is perfect for active guests. Both can be reached within a short time. The Prater, the former hunting ground of the Emperor and the Danube Island are ideal for exploring bike, jogging, horseback riding, swimming, sailing, water skiing, boat trips or just to stroll.

The Golf Club Freudenau is about 5 minutes away by car.
