After retiring from a 33 year career in sales management/ marketing, we visited our oldest daughter Etta and fell in love with Asheville. We moved to the Asheville Area in 2002 and lived in the house that became our first rental, “Our House.” (We built a cabin on the property and moved into it). Soon to follow, came our youngest daughter, Farris, and her now husband Danny. In 2009 their daughter Alyssa arrived and in 2015 Haley was born, making this a true family business.
Owner/Manager purchased this house in 2002
We fell in love with Asheville and all it has to offer. We then decided to share the beauty of the Asheville Area and the hospitality of the Smokey Mountains with others. “Our House” and “My Roundette” were on the property when we originally bought it. Both have since been remodeled. We then purchased additional land and built “My Place,” “The Huntley,” and “The Garden Cabin.” “Log Gap” and “Prayer Ridge” were both bought at separate, more remote locations. Both were extensively remodeled.
The benefit of staying at “The Cove at Fairview” is the unique experience. Each home offers you a different experience in small ways – outdoor fireplaces, swinging beds, and a fifty mile view are just a few. Also, enjoy waterfalls, Koi Ponds, a Lotus Pond, horses, chickens (enjoy fresh eggs), donkeys, goats, native plants, & flower gardens.
By staying here, you are nestled into all of the beautiful natural settings in this peaceful cove.
While being very private and close to nature, you are still afforded all of the conveniences of technology and are located near all this area has to offer. Truly a place to come and renew yourself. Kick back, relax, and have a true retreat or a wonderful place to land after an exhausting day of fun (downtown is only 15 minutes away).

Thank you so much for sharing your little piece of paradise with us.
We thoroughly enjoyed the Roundette and the grounds, and the nights were capped off with the incredible stargazing from the hot tub.
It was the perfect retreat for two weary souls to rest and recharge.
My husband and I just finished our stay at My Roundette. I don't usually take the time to write reviews, but The Cove at Fairview is truly an exceptional property. The grounds are beautifully landscaped, and you can tell that Frank puts a lot of love and attention into the property. We walked up to the Koi ponds one morning, and we were really impressed! The cabins on the property are far enough apart for quiet and privacy, but there is also a nice community feel.
I was impressed by the photos of My Roundette, and then visited The Cove at Fairview website and watched the video. It is beautiful online, but even more beautiful in person...and it was larger than I thought it would be. Frank met us there and gave us a tour, brought eggs and butter, and his wife had made bread. The kitchen is stocked with coffee, jam, sugar, and there is creamer in the fridge. They really think of everything!
Frank was fun to talk to. He suggested some places to visit, and we did. As others have noted, his suggestions are spot on. Whistle Hop Brewing was really fun and delicious. The Local Joint was great as well. We had dinner at Tupelo Honey one night, and it exceeded our expectations. Also had lunch at Early Girl Cafe-also delicious. To be honest, we didn't have a bad meal while in the area! It only took us 15 minutes to get to downtown Asheville and it is pretty much a straight shot. Really easy. And you pass the Blue Ridge on the way, so you are really close to outdoor activities.
I researched obsessively before booking (I always second guess). If you are thinking of booking, just do it. You will LOVE it! I am sure all of the other cabins are just as cute and well decorated! We are already looking at booking again.
It was quite without any disruptions from neighbors. The home offered all the amenties of a hotel room, with only a short drive to shopping.
Loved our get away! The owner was great - gave us plenty of details and answered all of our questions. If you’re looking for a little place for two - this is it!
My wife and I had a perfect, romantic getaway to this property. There was plenty of room to stay indoors or walk the property. The hot tub deck was very private and also had a great grill. The owner was very responsive to any questions. We would rent here again and may also consider bringing more family to rent the other units on the property. My wife loved the farm animals and the fresh eggs.
My wife and I truly enjoyed staying at this property and can't wait to come back. The roundette is very nicely furnished and very clean. When arriving Frank provided a great introduction to his property and we enjoyed hearing about the unique history and the attention to details that Frank put into his properties. He has built a numerous Koi ponds with water features, which was a great to sit and relax. We also enjoyed feeding and interacting with the horses and donkeys on his farm. We also enjoyed the fresh baked bread and farm fresh eggs for breakfast each morning. This place is very relaxing , highly recommend this place and can't wait to go back!
We have stayed at many VRBO rentals and very rarely does one exceed expectations, but this is one that did! Pictures do not do this place justice. Frank has attended to every single detail to make a stay at The Cove at Fairview an exceptional experience. Just to name a few of the finishing touches that make this place special: fresh bread and eggs waiting for you in the kitchen, stacked dry kindling for your outdoor chiminea sitting area, surprisingly private hot tub bubbling and ready, linens/towels/robes stocked, books with information like local attractions and menus, and a personal tour of the grounds at your arrival so that you feel welcomed right away. We were here for our 15th anniversary weekend and I think it was possibly the best getaway rental we have ever chosen. I can't say enough about how gorgeous the grounds are - a treat for the eyes and ears! The frogs in the koi ponds and cicadas in the woods and the waterfalls climbing the mountain sing you to sleep at night. The proximity to Asheville and the Biltmore was perfect as well. It's a short trip into town and a lot of fun was had there, but each time we left, we found ourselves looking forward to returning to the roundette. We will be back!

Go horseback riding just 5 minutes away. We are just 10 minutes to the Blue Ridge Parkway (panoramic views at overlooks and great hikes), and 15 minutes to the Blue Ridge Parkway Folk Art Center.
