House, 1 Bedroom, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-3)
After retiring from a 33 year career in sales management/ marketing, we visited our oldest daughter Etta and fell in love with Asheville. We moved to the Asheville Area in 2002 and lived in the house that became our first rental, “Our House.” (We built a cabin on the property and moved into it). Soon to follow, came our youngest daughter, Farris, and her now husband Danny. In 2009 their daughter Alyssa arrived and in 2015 Haley was born, making this a true family business.
Owner/Manager purchased this House in 2002
Why Owner/Manager chose Fairview
We fell in love with Asheville and all it has to offer. We then decided to share the beauty of the Asheville Area and the hospitality of the Smokey Mountains with others. “Our House” and “My Roundette” were on the property when we originally bought it. Both have since been remodeled. We then purchased additional land and built “My Place,” “The Huntley,” and “The Garden Cabin.” “Log Gap” and “Prayer Ridge” were both bought at separate, more remote locations. Both were extensively remodeled.
What makes this House unique
The benefit of staying at “The Cove at Fairview” is the unique experience. Each home offers you a different experience in small ways – outdoor fireplaces, swinging beds, and a fifty mile view are just a few. Also, enjoy waterfalls, Koi Ponds, a Lotus Pond, horses, chickens (enjoy fresh eggs), donkeys, goats, native plants, & flower gardens. By staying here, you are nestled into all of the beautiful natural settings in this peaceful cove. While being very private and close to nature, you are still afforded all of the conveniences of technology and are located near all this area has to offer. Truly a place to come and renew yourself. I can't even express how amazing this was for us!!! Our rental was right next to the barn and the goats, horses, and donkeys came right up to our back patio area to eat carrots we had for them. The property was so nice and although there were other occupied rentals within view from our place, we didn't see or hear a soul and there was plenty of privacy from fences and tall dense trees. We had the perfect romantic anniversary getaway and have already recommended it to so many people. We loved being away from the bustle of downtown Asheville but close enough to easily visit. We were a short drive from some great hiking and fun adventures! The owner was so nice and had lots of recommendations on things to do and places to eat near by and they did not disappoint! The fresh eggs and homemade bread were so good and they had everything you would need stocked from kitchen, to bathroom, to laundry. This rental EXCEEDED our expectations and we will definitely be back!!
PS- I definitely recommend renting a Jeep.. we rented october and had the top down the whole time and it was FANTASTIC!!!!
Great private getaway
The room was exactly as described, and very comfortable. The property owner was very friendly and met us at the house for checkin where he reviewed the operation of everything and gave us great tips on local spots to visit. The Whistle Hop Brewing Company was a very unique place to hang out in a train car while enjoying a fresh beer. On our last night, we stopped by Hilltop ice cream shop and got the very last scoop of the season! It was a very friendly place with great ice cream, I highly recommend stopping by.
The house is close to Asheville and not far from Brevard. We spent one day with French Broad Adventures rafting the French Broad river. Had a great time and the house was a great place to relax afterwards. The horses, goats, and chickens at the property were very quiet! It was great to wake up in the morning and see the horses and goats grazing not far from the back deck. You really get the sense of nature at the house and it’s very relaxing. We also had fresh eggs and bread provided in the house which made for a great breakfast!
If you enjoy being close to nature, nestled in an intimate setting then Fairview Cove is for you. Tranquil environment, farm-fresh eggs, watching horses graze right outside the window and feeding donkeys, goats were a real treat for husband and I. Koi pond with gentle waterfall feature only steps away provided the Zen- like feeling of a yoga retreat.
Well managed, clean property with extra touches to make the stay perfect. Fresh bread was waiting upon our arrival. The house was very neat and well appointed. The area where the animals roam was adjacent to our back porch. Made for a very pleasant morning coffee experience on the porch. We will return
We enjoyed our stay . Can't wait till our next visit.
Perfect getaway in the mountains
Renting this Property was wonderful. The owner worked with me and allowed us to book just one night even though they had a 2 night min stay. The grounds were immaculate, and we loved the farm animals they have on the property. The fresh eggs from their chickens and the fresh bread that was cooking in the oven for us when we got there were awesome. The hot tub was a very nice touch and they may just have the worlds comfiest bed. Also it’s not too far from Asheville. All in all 5 out of 5 stars and we are excited for when we can stay again!
