South Lake Tahoe Cabin Rental Photos and Description

1 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom, Sleeps 6

VACATION HOME RENTAL PERMIT # 002077

Pioneer Trail Cabin is a premiere retreat vacation home conveniently located in the heart of South Shore. This home is an authentic Tahoe cabin located on the same historic trail that once led the pony express, wagon trains bound for wealth to the Com stock Lode, and pioneers in search of the Wild West! To experience this cabin means to experience the very essence of Tahoe. Relax in complete privacy, under the sky among a canopy of pine and aspen in a pristine hot tub or wonder the area and view a tribute to our pioneering history. A genuine period trail wagon makes the perfect photo opportunity to commemorate your stay with your beloved family and friends. While on the ranch you will notice the magnificent gardens which are landscaped to a natural Tahoe setting with a lovely collection of Sierra natives. Step inside the cabin and prepare to be stunned. You will notice a tasteful blend of reclaimed redwood, cedar, pine, and earth gaged slate tile.

Pioneer cabin is easily accessible with a level entry and large parking area. The cabin is beautifully designed with 100 year old redwood floors reclaimed from century old farm houses. The beams and other cedar heart wood accents were all saved from old Tahoe cabins being demolished. Earthen slate tiles may be found through out the home. Although the cabin is immaculately clean you will feel comfortable and relaxed the moment you arrive. Do not let the term 'pioneer' fool you - this cabin is completely furnished and equipped with all the modern conveniences of your own home while keeping in the original spirit of the old west.

2 bikes available.....: For your summer fun two beach cruiser bicycles (his and hers) are available for your use!

B.Y.O.H. bring your own helmets!

A 'Lakeside Beach' pass is provided as well. Lakeside Beach is within walking distance from the cabin! A pass is required for entry to the private beach so don't forget it!

In closing we would like to share with you as owners of this home, we strive to make this cabin user friendly, functional, clean, comfortable, and relaxing for all of its' guests. We enjoy sharing memorable, quality, moments with each other, our friends & family. Pioneer Trail Cabin is conducive to this mindset of ours. It is a fun, warm, cozy cabin with great amenities. If you choose our home for your next vacation, we feel confident you will come away with wonderful memories that will last for years to come!!! You can trust your stay with us will be a good experience handled in a very professional manner. Welcome to Tahoe!

Sincerely,

Jeri & Frank

About The Owner

We live in Tahoe year round. We own 2 Tahoe cabins we operate as vacation rentals. We personally handle every aspect of the rental (i.e. cleaning, booking, hot tub, gardens, marketing..) Our cabins are not in a property management program which allows us to control and maintain the strict standard to which we hold our properties. We strive to continually improve the quality of the experience for our guests. We are always available to lend a hand or help out with an unforeseen obstacle( i.e.jump a battery, help with chains, blown fuse, light bulb out, restaurant directions, emergency gift...)If you have special plans for someone (flowers,wine...) let us know how we can help. We love that kind of stuff. We hope you will give us the opportunity to share our cabin with you. We are confident you will very pleased with the accommodations and service. Sincerely, Frank and Jeri

Why The Owner chose South Lake Tahoe

We love Tahoe. We have a hard time imagining living anywhere else. We are invested in our community (through our businesses, our relationships, our properties and some day our children!) We want to share quality time in Tahoe with our family and friends who come to visit. Our goal is to have a place we can enjoy now and pass on to the future generations of our family later. We are honored and proud to be apart of this amazing property in Lake Tahoe.

What makes this cabin unique

Frank and I really love staying at the cabin. We've worked on Pioneer Trail Cabin for years and it is now what was once just a vision in our minds. We really appreciate and enjoy what we have created and we know you will too. We tend to have a morning soak in the hot tub with a cup of Joe. We cook on the grill, play cards, and garden. We ride our bikes. We 'people watch' and walk around down town. We plan and take day hikes and come back for wine by the fireplace. We walk for groceries and just about everything else. We host dinners at sunset and lunches at the picnic table. We sled and play in the snow (it's not just for the kids. right!) Staying at Pioneer Trail Cabin stimulates your sense of adventure while replenishing the soul. This home just feels good. We are confident you will enjoy your time at the cabin as thoroughly as we enjoy ours. Sincerely Frank and Jeri

First Class Accommodations

  • 5 of 5

This was our second visit and it was just as great as last year. The cabin is very well maintained and the furnishings, linens, appliances, etc are all first class. We love the location as it is close to the lake, shopping centers and some great restaurants. Another plus for us is that it is wheelchair accessible and has a roll in shower. They have a BBQ, Jacuzzi & plenty of Movies so there's something for everyone. We will be back!!

Perfection - Home sweet home

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was perfect for my family. The cabin decor is simple but fits. It makes you feel at home. The cabin is close to all activities. The owners are super nice individuals. We are looking at other opportunities to visit Lake Tahoe based on our experience we had at the cabin and inside Lake Tahoe area. I totally recommend this cabin

Enjoyed our brief stay at Pioneer Trail cabin. Beautifully appointed home, very convenient to main commercial area of South Lake Tahoe while remaining secluded and peaceful. Walking distance to most amenities. Would love to go back.

We love the Pioneer Trail Cabin

  • 5 of 5

This was our 3rd time staying at the Pioneer Trail Cabin. 3 years in a row. We have begun to think of it as our own second/vacation home. While you are basically 'downtown', it feels like you are away from everything when you are there. There is lots of privacy, and I love the way the house flows from inside to outside to the adorable back yard, which makes it feel larger than a 1-bedroom. We used the hot tub every evening and the BBQ 3 times.

Love it.
