Overview

About the property

3 Bedrooms - 1 Bath - (Sleeps 6)

This peaceful location on a quiet lane just outside of Rockport's downtown offers an easy place from which to enjoy the best that this world-renowned sea-side art colony has to offer. Beaches, shops, art galleries, restaurants, and Rockport Harbor are all just a five-minute walk from your door.

A five minute walk takes you directly into the heart of Rockport's downtown, full of art galleries, quaint shops, restaurants, and home of the Rockport Chamber Music Festival and Rockport Art Association. Boat tours leave regularly from two wharves, and you can rent sea kayaks, go deep sea-fishing, or climb the rocks at the end of Bearskin Neck and watch the sun set over the harbor and the famous Motif #1 fishing shack.

The same short walk brings you to Front Beach, with its fine swimming and scenic views of Rockport's coastline for adults, and gradual slope and tidepools that delight children. Along the way you will pass the lane leading to Millbrook Meadow, an oasis-like park with a pond, waterfall, babbling brook, and large lawn with swings and slide.

Wonderful house within walking distance to quaint shops, fabulous restaurants and breath-taking scenery. Not a beach weekend, but we even walked there. The house was clean and comfortable. Fun family weekend!

Clean and convenient

  • 4 of 5

Owner was great to work with. The place was older but clean and convenient to downtown Rockport. Lots of parking was a plus. A larger TV would have been nice. But on whole, very satisfied. We'd stay here again.

Lovely, simple home steps away from a picture-perfect oceanside town

  • 5 of 5

The house was perfect for my "girls' weekend" birthday celebration. The furnishings are simple, but provided everything we needed. The beds were comfortable. The one bathroom is large, which was nice. The location of the house off the main street provides a welcome retreat with views of trees and a garden from the kitchen. We woke to sunshine and bird-song every morning! And the house is within easy walking distance to the charming town and its adorable shops and delicious eateries, not to mention breathtaking ocean vistas. I highly recommend this house and location!

Good place to stay for families!

  • 4 of 5

This was a great home to stay in for our family of 7 (we brought five kids 5-15.) Only 1 bathroom was tricky, but doable. It is an older home, but it was neat and clean and everything was provided. It was wonderfully located, close to the beach. The only reason I didn't rate it 5 stars is simply because it IS an older home and has older furnishings, but very reasonable place to stay! Thank you!

we were there only for 3 nights but found your home very comfortable. it was very neat and clean . we were all there from out of state for a wedding so we appreciated all the things that you left for our use. the only problem that we had was there was only 1 bathroom and all of us trying to get ready for our event was a little rough. I still would recommend this home for any vacationers visiting the area. the price of our stay was affordable.
