Overview

About the property

3 Bedrooms - 1 Bath - (Sleeps 6)

This peaceful location on a quiet lane just outside of Rockport's downtown offers an easy place from which to enjoy the best that this world-renowned sea-side art colony has to offer. Beaches, shops, art galleries, restaurants, and Rockport Harbor are all just a five-minute walk from your door.

A five minute walk takes you directly into the heart of Rockport's downtown, full of art galleries, quaint shops, restaurants, and home of the Rockport Chamber Music Festival and Rockport Art Association. Boat tours leave regularly from two wharves, and you can rent sea kayaks, go deep sea-fishing, or climb the rocks at the end of Bearskin Neck and watch the sun set over the harbor and the famous Motif #1 fishing shack.

The same short walk brings you to Front Beach, with its fine swimming and scenic views of Rockport's coastline for adults, and gradual slope and tidepools that delight children. Along the way you will pass the lane leading to Millbrook Meadow, an oasis-like park with a pond, waterfall, babbling brook, and large lawn with swings and slide.

The perfect family home to stay away in

  • 5 of 5

We had the most wonderful stay at this home and didn't want to leave the last day. Priscilla was a wonderful host and made everything so easy. We traveled with a 2 year old and are expecting so having this wonderful family oriented home very close to the beach and the center of town was amazing. We can't wait to come back!!

Owner's Response: We are so glad you enjoyed your stay in our house! It's been a great place for us to have fun times with our three kids as they've grown up, and we love when other families can enjoy its location as well. Hope to have you return!

Great place

  • 5 of 5

Great place to stay in Rockport. Nice quiet neighborhood. Friendly neighbors. We definitely recommend this home. Very glad we got to meet the owners. Wonderful and helpful folks. Once you are stocked up on groceries, everything is within walking distance. Six of us stayed there, and the single bathroom was not an issue. Also nice to have everything on one level. Washer and dryer in the basement, but we did not need to use them. Thank you Priscilla!

P.S. You should update the photo of the house as the new paint job is great.

Perfect summer cottage!

  • 5 of 5

We loved staying here. It is roomy with a huge kitchen, beautiful back yards & plenty of parking. A 10-minute walk to downtown & Bearskin Neck or the T. Definitely would love to return next year!!

Great location, well equiped and nice back/side yard

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for three days in this home, with our elderly mother, sister and nephew. It was comfortable and had everything we needed, even a big lobster pot and gas grill. The side garden was fun to walk around, and the tables in the back were our gathering place. The bedrooms were comfortable, and they had thick, thirsty towels. Our only complaint is that the TV in living room was a bit old and small, but then again, we didn't spend a lot of time watching TV. The house was in a good location, on a quiet dead-end street, and it was within walking distance (for everyone but mom) to the piers and beaches. Rockport has a lot to see, and we were lucky enough to be there for Lobsterfest, with it's accompanying fireworks. I would stay here again!
