Sofie Apartments - charming, chic and exclusive
Sofie Apartments are newly constructed and are finished since July 2013. There are 4 apartments available which are located right next to the historic Sofiensäle.
Due to the prime central location of Sofie apartments they are well-suited for travellers and also for businessmen.
Each apartment offers an useable space of 35 m² which is optimally designed. Each apartment has its own patio with 4 to 6 m² and in addition a separate storage room. All four apartments have an extraordinary ambience and exclusive features. Both functionality as well as the tasteful and elegant furnishings were the focus while designing the apartments.
Sofie Apartments offers everything to top off a fabulous and striking stay in Vienna.
Features / amenities:
Each apartment has a patio inside the quiet courtyard. The patio invites you to relax and unwind. Located inside the courtyard of the building the street noise remains outside.
All rooms (except bathroom / toilet) are designed with wooden floors and provide a comfortable atmosphere.
The bathroom highlights the special atmosphere with its exclusive features. The comfort and convenience factor is increased by a walk-in access to the rain shower with handheld showerhead.
The electric fireplace offers a cosy atmosphere and accentuates the special style of the apartments. The comfortable and modern atmosphere is highlighted by a flat-screen TV and an elegant couch.
The box-spring bed with 160 cm width provides optimal (sleeping) comfort. You can enjoy romantic evenings here also.
Each apartment has a security door or a private video access control system.
Entrance: The four Sofie apartments connect an entrance area which is available exclusively for our guests. There is an Info-Point where all the information about Vienna is available. You can read all about Vienna in Vienna and thus schedule your trips.
Separate storage room:
From the entrance you can reach the storage room exclusively accessible to each apartment. There you can store your luggage or suitcases and have more space and comfort inside the house.
In the storage room there will be cleaning equipments (vacuum cleaner, iron, ironing board, washing detergents, etc.) and reserves for toilet paper, kitchen rolls etc.
Separated from the apartments, but in the same building there is also a laundry room, which is only accessible by residents and our guests (for the use of washing machines and dryers there is a small usage fee, which is collected by the property management).
Vienna historic centre can be reached in a few steps. You can reach the St. Stephen's Cathedral in under 20 minutes (approx. 1.5 km).
Hundertwasserhaus is few metres or not even a minute away.
Landstraßer Hauptstrasse, one of the significant shopping streets in Vienna and Rochusmarkt invite you for a stroll. Numerous restaurants, bakeries, cafés, cocktail bars are reachable within 5 minutes on foot.
Viennese City Park is within 5 minutes walking distance.
Sofiensäle is opening again. Right next to the Sofie Apartments with a moving history, Sofiensäle will be freely accessible to visitors after it is reopened (planned for 2014).
In the green Prater there are extensive meadows, forests and water bodies. These provide the ideal environment for relaxing walks, brisk hikes, extensive jogging, cycling and skating tours and much more. Less than 20 minutes away on foot.
In the shopping centre 'The Mall' at Vienna central railway station, you can make your purchases every day (even on Sundays and holidays).
You can reach the Vienna central railway station (public transport: U3/U4, suburban train and CAT) in 5 minutes by walk. Thus an optimal connection to the Vienna airport and the Vienna train stations is guaranteed.
If you want to visit Vienna in a very convenient way, you have a stopping of the Red Bus City Tours or the Vienna Sightseeing Tours (bus tours) right next to the Hundertwasserhaus.
With the wide choice of public transport you can reach all destinations in Vienna very easily in short time.
The location near Landstraßer Hauptstrasse and Rochusmarkt as well as adjacent to the first district is symbolic of culinary delights in the restaurants nearby. First-class restaurants are just a stone's throw away.

About Aleksandra Langer
In the beginning our trips to European cities and experiences were with private apartments and holiday rentals. We wanted and still want to experience the actual and the real atmosphere of city, country and people, which is very much possible in private apartments. But at the same time beautiful and comfortable living is also important to us. Out of our interest in architecture and interior designing as well as attention to detail, we got the idea of fulfilling our requirements with regard to appearance, functionality and also elegance through A&A Apartments for sophisticated visitors of Vienna. At the same time, our goal is to identify with ourselves and make our hobby a profession. The best location in Vienna!
Aleksandra was a perfect host from the beginning. She met us at the door after our plane arrived and showed us the apartment. She did a great job explaining how everything worked. As for the apartment itself, couldn’t have been in a better location. 5-7 minute walk to Wien Mitte, main Underground train station (including the CAT train straight from the airport!), and a short 2 minute walk to the closest tram line #1 to Prater Hauptalee. This tram takes you around the Ring Road of Vienna, it does take about 30 minutes to get to the Staatsoper but you get to see the city so it is worth it. The bed was very comfy, it had (German) satellite TV and the fireplace was great, even though it was only for show and didn’t provide warmth. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in Vienna!
The property was beautiful and the size was ample for our needs. I would love to return some day!
Our hosts were gracious. They thoroughly explained all of the accommodations and services provided. We particularly appreciated the separate laundry room in the building. It, along with everything else in the building, was spotless. The private storage room for luggage and other belongings, which freed up space in the apartment, a first for us, was a welcome amenity. Alexander and Aleksandra were quick to respond the few times we had questions and showed up promptly when we needed help with our laundry card. Also, the property is close to the canal if you wish to stroll and we made a happy discovery of the Hundertwasser Project in the neighborhood Thank you for a wonderful stay Alexander and Aleksandra!
Like having a home in Vienna!
We liked everything about this apartment. We were met by our host at the apartment at our appointed time, and she made sure to give us a thorough tour and overview of everything we needed as well as answer all our questions. (Plus, there was a complete packet of info in the apartment for us to refer to as needed).
The studio apartment was very clean, the bed wonderfully comfortable, the kitchen well-equipped and the neigborhood quiet. And it was great to have a place to do laundry!
The Wien Mitte station was a short walk away, trams ran through neighborhood streets close by, and the Ringstrasse was also an easy walk. We felt right at home coming and going at all hours.
Also - the access to a major hub like Wien Mitte made it easy to do day trips (for example, we trained out to visit Melk Abbey, then rented bikes to ride along the Danube to Krems, then took another train back that evening)
I will highly recommend staying here to anyone I know traveling to Vienna!
Excellant Location and Value
We stayed in Apertment Sofie for a week and had a wonderful experience. Both owners were excellant hosts in every way. The owners are very gracious and responsive to our needs accomodating everything from delayed flights to helping us reserve taxis.. Highly recommend these apartments for comfort, security, safety, value, and convenience to public transportation. Will definetly stay here on our next trip. A special thanks to them from us . They have "raised the bar" in our VRBO expereince.

Great place, close to everything
The apartment was clean and comfortable. Quiet, safe neighborhood. Close to food and all the sights. Apartment only accommodates tw o people. Very compact. Would highly recommend this rental.

Excellent unit in very good location
We spent five days in Vienna staying in this apartment. I want to make it clear that this is not a large apartment. It is more like a small studio. But, with that said, the interior was new, stylish and spotlessly clean. There was no view, but the apartment had a nice outdoor patio on a courtyard. In addition, lots of extras were provided like coffee, tea, and condiments along with a variety of electrical appliances and household items. And, the bed was very comfortable, too. In terms of location, it was about a 5 minute walk to the #1 tram line - which goes around the Ring, and about a 7 - 8 minute walk to a major transportation center with metro, S-bahn, airport trains, and trams. We found it very easy to get around to nearly all locations from there. Finally, the owners are very responsive and helpful. I don't think it would be good for a long stay and/or for people who like to spread-out and spend a lot of time in the room. For us it was perfect. I highly recommend the apartment to anyone wanting a very pleasant base for sightseeing in beautiful Vienna.
