The apartment (30 m2) is located in the second Floor (no elevator) of a palace of a possession for the famous Cavalcanti in the Middle Ages - Family counted. The building is now a listed building and has been recently restored. The living area is optimally distributed: spacious sleeping area with double bed, cozy, fully equipped kitchen and dining area and bathroom with shower. The carefully selected furnishings, terracotta floors and antique wooden ceiling give the studio a authentic Florentine atmosphere. At the same time, the apartment offers all modern comforts: air conditioning, Wi-Fi, TV, dishwasher and washing machine.
Which manifests central location provides the ideal base for exploring the city. Only a few steps, just around the corner, and already they are in the middle of Piazza della Signoria. Sit on a cappuccino in the café Rivoire, admire the Loggia dei Lanzi, the Palazzo Vecchio - while they make plans for the new day. You could start with a visit to the Uffizi Gallery, within walking distance of the apartment are like most sites in the city? Or they stroll through the surrounding streets, get only a little luck in bronze 'Porcellino' fountain and walk across the Ponte Vecchio to the characteristic Oltrarno district, where they in the traditional' Botteghe 'Florentine craftsmen still at work on the shoulder can look.
The apartments CATERINA (2 pers.) And LORENA (4 pers.) Offer its guests endless possibilities the city vivid and authentic experience.
We stayed in the Lorena apartment for five days in early Dec 2015 as part of our month in Italy for our 25th wedding anniversary. We had booked into the smaller apartment (Caterina) but were upgraded at no extra cost into Lorena when the guest in Caterina extended their stay. Regine met us at the apartment, helped us up the 60 or so stairs with our luggage and provided us a lot of useful information which assisted us in our stay. The location was very central with easy access to all the sights of Firenze – we counted the paces to Piazza della Signoria – 38 in total – it is genuinely just around the corner. The central nature of the location allowed fantastic access to all Firenze has to offer and we were able to walk everywhere – the central markets (eat in the upstairs food gallery), Accadmie, Uffizi, Ponte Vecchio etc. – from this apartment you don’t need to catch a bus or a train to get anywhere in the city. It was a joy to simply roam through the streets of Firenze soaking up the atmosphere and then find a little wine bar in which to recuperate. However there is significant activity in the streets around the apartment late at night and into the early hours of the morning – after our first night we shifted into the back bedroom which was a lot quieter. While we loved the location and the ease of access to Firenze from the apartment, the street noise may be an issue for people who sleep lightly – the stairs would rule out the apartment for those with mobility issues.
My niece and I recently stayed a few nights in the Caterina apartment.
The apartment is small (as expected), but contained everything we needed for our stay in Florence. It was very cozy and cute! Regine was very nice and gave some great recommendations on places to eat nearby (especially the local bakery)!
It couldn't be in a better location for sight seeing! Right in the middle of it all! We enjoyed the sounds of the city below us (but not too noisy for sleeping).
The only inconvenience is the lack of an elevator (3 floors up). Minor inconvenience and only applies if you packed too much! :)
I recommend this apartment and would definitely stay here again!
Four of us recently stayed in the two bedroom and this apartment was wonderfully warm, clean and spacious!! Even by American standards. The location couldn't have been better, right in the middle of everything, yet quiet for sleeping which we found to be an issue in Venice. We will be back! I cannot offer a higher recommendation for this wonderful apartment and this incredible city!! The only downside was the two floors of stairs and no elevator, but this is very typical in Europe.
The apartment is beautiful; clean, comfortable, spacious and elegant. It could not be better located, right in the centre of Florence. We left our car in an overnight car park further out from the city and got a taxi to the apartment. Jessica met us and showed us the apartment. Both her and Regine were very helpful and friendly. Stay here! It's like being in a 5 star hotel, but much much better value.
'Caterina' hält wirklich was sie verspricht.
