Our apartment is located in the middle of the small district Walporzheim,
surrounded by beautiful vineyards with numerous hiking trails.
Walporzheim is with Marienthal the westernmost district of Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler and has about 700 inhabitants. The village is estimated to be 893 years old, and offers many special features.
St. Peter, the oldest inn on the Ahr (built in 1246), which has been privately owned since 1805, pampers its guests with excellent food and top-quality wines.
The second oldest wine cooperative of the Ahr was founded in 1871 in Walporzheim.
In the immediate vicinity of St. Peter is the St. Josef Chapel. It was built about 1660.
One special feature is the so-called "colorful cow".
It is the rock outcrop of a steep rock formation.
The Ahr meanders with approx. 90 km through one of the most beautiful side valleys of the Rhine.
It rises in the center of Blankenheim (Eifel) and makes its way through beautiful
Valleys to the mouth in the Rhine at Sinzig.
Walporzheim has, among other things, fantastic vineyards, whose wines can be tasted everywhere in our village.
From the apartment you can reach the Rotweinwanderweg in about 5 minutes, which extends from Altenahr to Bad Bodendorf over a length of 35 km.
On site, as well as in the surrounding area numerous rest stops are offered, in which you are spoiled with the local top wines and other culinary delights.
Enjoy a high recreational value with rural flair here in Walporzheim.
