The 3,5 room-apartment is located on the 2nd floor and on a living area of 86m2 it has two bedrooms, 1 x double bed, 2 x single beds, bathroom (bath/shower/toilet), a spacious living-kitchen with dishwasher and coffee machine and a very bright living room. Large balcony with fantastic view of Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. radio/satellite-TV, free internet (Wi-Fi).

You have a splendid view of the surrounding mountain world. The next bus stop is located very nearby and the town centre and railway station can be reached in 5 minutes by walk.

We're a fifty-plus couple who live near Basel and love to ski. In the summer, we go hiking in the mountains with our dog and sometimes also with our children.

Why Mariella Vacilotto chose Eiger, Mönch & Jungfrau

With this apartment, it was love at first site for us. One week during of winter vacation, we were told that it was for sale. We didn't second-guess ourselves.

What makes this apartment unique

The apartment enjoys a great location, near the Ski-Bus stop, located by the schoolhouse in a cul-de-sac, 100m away. Buses leave in both directions, either towards Firstbahn or Männlichen. The train also goes to Kleine Scheidegg. The town centre is a few minutes' walk away, where you can go shopping or just relax.

The beautiful spacious balcony terrace has a view over the ski region.

Finally, we always love staying there.

Great place and great apatment

Everything is amazing and fully equiped. Furniture and finishings were great and joyful.

The disadvantage is that its in the third floor and no elevator is available but it worth since it will give me better view on high level.

Overall, it worth every penny I paid for my stay.

Incredible view, lovely apartment

This was our second summer stay in this apartment and we loved it just as much as the first. The flat is very well located near the train station and central town shopping, but it is also very peaceful with its incredible terrace looking up on the Eiger. The flat is very clean, comfortable, and has everything that you could possibly need. We had incredible weather on this trip and managed to do some wonderful walks with the children... from First to the Falhourn, the Eiger trail, and best of all...the Panorama walk at Schynyge Platte. We also enjoyed the swimming and ice skating at the local leisure centre. Thank you for another wonderful family holiday.

Perfect vacation apartment

The apartment is very conveniently located near the train station, and there is even a village busstop a stone's throw away. The check in process is seamless, and property manager D was extremely helpful.

The views from the apartment are spectacular and tops off the experience of staying there. Every inch of the apartment is so clean (even the crockery and utensils) it looks almost brand new. My family certainly enjoyed our stay there and will not hesitate to recommend it to our friends.

Just Incredible!

Another reviewer mentioned this and I totally agree; the photos on this rental don't adequately represent the grandeur of the location! We spent 4 nights here after having been on an extremely rigorous group tour and we absolutely loved unwinding in the serenity and comfort of this location.

It is on the 3rd floor with no lift which could be a problem for some folks. It has no fireplace because it has floor heating but, honestly, this was much better. The temperature is controlled centrally and it is just right all the time. If you are a bit warm, open a window. I really loved waking up in the morning and not being cold. Plus, the warm floor in the bathroom was great for bare feet! Of course, I'm an engineer so such things interest me and probably not so much you :)

So, let me talk about more vacationy things like the awesome view from the balcony! And hearing the cow bells in the distance (not bothersome at all). And the view of Eiger mountain as it soars above your line of sight, seemingly right in your backyard! The balcony is huge and the windows offer unobstructed views of the mountains and village. It's neat to watch the clouds pour over the back of Eiger towards you.

You can borrow DVDs and books from a bookcase in the entry. The laundry room was very clean and attached to the entry. There are only 8 or 10 apartments in the unit and we never saw another person while we were there...except for "D". He's been mentioned a lot by other renters but I'll try to add something different. D will contact you to schedule a time to stop by at your convenience, usually on your second day there, to make sure any questions you might have are answered. I was expecting a boisterous, jolly, Italian man for some reason (the things your mind comes up with!) but he's actually a fairly young, soft-spoken Irishman. He spent over an hour with us but only because we kept him chatting and, being engineers, we had odd interests in things like the heating :) D was very knowledgeable about the area and left brochures and maps for us. He was available via email in case we needed anything during our stay.

Mariella maintains a well-stocked kitchen with plenty of staples like paper towels, dish washing/laundry supplies, spices, oils, sugar, salt and pepper. Coffee works on the honor system.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We have stayed at several VRBO rentals and I'd honestly say that this was the best! Plus, did I mention the views?
