This lovingly built and well-maintained property is situated in the southern Aridanetal at an altitude of about 550m. Its appearance is dominated by an ancient and vast cypress (El Ciprés) which donates the entire house shadow that you can make good use especially in summer. This tree also has given the estate its name. On the plot grow many exotic plants, including orange, lemon and avocado trees from which guests can avail themselves happy.

The finca 'El Ciprés' lies on a diversified, multi-terraced land with about 2000 square meters, of which one on each of the terraces has a truly magnificent view of sea and mountains. Beneath the land, within sight of the terraces is related to the plot of green space, play in the children without danger and thereby can be observed. Parking is located directly on the property; Another car park is 50 meters away on the grounds of the neighbors, who also take care of the house and the well-being of our guests and are available as contact person for all questions.

The building is a perfect mix of ancient and modern ingredients Spanish style elements. It has been renovated several times and expanded over the past 20 years and has grown to its present architecture.

The house has two apartments that are completely separate and have separate entrances and terraces:

The ground floor apartment consists essentially of two centuries-old pajeros which house the living room and the master bedroom with a full double bed. For the hot days this apartment is also very well equipped: Through the 70cm thick walls of the old Pajero and the huge cypress, which donates the entire house shadow, it is internally not getting too hot and also on the terraces will always find a shady spot.

The apartment includes three terraces on three different levels: one in the west of the house under the big cypress that you enter from the winter garden. From there you have the best view of the entire environment, from the Atlantic Ocean, over the caldera up to the Cumbre the famous Cloud waterfall. From the kitchen you can reach via a small staircase, the breakfast terrace, surrounded by palm trees and succulents. The third terrace is located in the north of the house and is ideal for really hot summer days, because the building shaded patio complete this.

The upstairs apartment has its own entrance directly from the parking lot. About a small staircase with 7 steps to reach the front door, through which one enters an approximately 40 square meters large studio. On the left side is the sleeping area, furnished with a large double bed with a width of 150cm and a large bedroom closet, where takes even the contents of a royal journey chest.

With a half-height room divider separated from the sleeping area is located in the right half of the kitchen, also generously equipped with ceramic hob and baking oven and various other accessories, and the seating area with table and chairs. From here you also have access to a small balcony where you can sit with 2 people. The entrance to the shower toilet is located just to the right of the entrance door.

To this apartment belongs a roof terrace with an area of ​​more than 40 square meters, from which the complete all-round views over the whole valley of Aridane, from the Atlantic via Caldera, Cumbre to the Roque de Nambroque in the East is possible. You can reach this roof terrace on the continuation of its own staircase leading to the entrance of the apartment.

The equipment of the house includes central heating for all rooms and a washing machine that can use free of charge to guests. An Internet connection can be provided on request.

You can also rent these apartments individually or together as a holiday home. The lower apartment is 'exclusively' reserve, ie the upper apartment will be free, so you have the whole land for themselves.

In the immediate vicinity, only a few hundred meters away, is a small shop where you can buy practically anything except fresh meat, what you need for everyday life, of course, fresh bread. Almost every day comes a van selling fresh fish to the house.

Comfortable and spacious accommodation

We had a very pleasant stay at "El Ciprés". The property is very comfortable and has plenty of space. We particularly enjoyed the bright conservatory that has lovely views to the west. Perfect for watching the sunsets.

The kitchen was very well equipped and had everything needed for preparing meals. We enjoyed making a fire in the evening and relaxing in the lounge.

The location of the property is also excellent. There are many walks within easy reach, including a super hike from St Nicolas (5 minutes drive away) up to the lava fields.The coast is also close by as are the local towns of El Paso and Los Llanos. The National Park is just past El Paso where there are many more hiking options.

There are a number of guides and books in the property although these were all in German. Maybe a few in English would be helpful to non German speaking clients.

All in all we would highly recommend this property for anyone looking to stay on La Palma.

Alles gute mit den neuen Besitzern

Wir haben das Haus so vorgefunden, wie es hier beschrieben wird. Wunderschön, toller Ausblick...4 Terrassen zum Wechseln je nach Sonne und Wind und der goldwerte Wintergarten. Herrlich.....Die alte Cypresse ( Die hauptverantwortlich für den Charm des Grundstücks ist, die großen Palmen, die wunderschöne Küche mit Ausgang zur Terrasse...!!! Aber: wer gerne nach einer anstrengenden Wanderung duscht, wird hier nicht belohnt, der Wasserdruck ist sehr gering. Bequeme Sitzgelegenheiten sind leider rar und das Bett bedarf neuer Matratzen. Als Samstag die neuen Besitzer plötzlich im Garten standen war uns klar, warum nichts mehr gemacht wurde. Wir wünschen dem wunderschönen alten Haus und den Bäumen viel Glück mit den neuen Besitzern und hoffen dann doch auf Fingerspitzengefühl beim Umgang mit der ursprünglichen Natur des Gartens und bei der Renovierung des Hauses. Eine viele Jahre alte Cypresse hat mehr Charm als ein Pool!!!!

Relaxen leicht gemacht!

Die Angaben im Inserat sind absolut korrekt. Alle Formalitäten mit unserem Vermieter im Vorfeld unserer Anreise waren schnell, zuverlässig, zuvorkommend und sehr unkompliziert. Schlichtweg perfekt. Auch vor Ort wurden wurden wir ganz prima betreut.

Die Lage der Finca ist optimal, denn wir konnten wunderbar -ohne viel Zeit investieren zu müssen- die zentral gelegenen Wanderreviere anfahren. Im nächsten Ort ist ein riesiger Supermakt, der keine Wünsche offen lässt. Schnell und unkompliziert ist man aber auch auf der Ostseite von La Palma oder im Westen eben mal ans Meer nach Puerto de Tazacorte oder Puerto Naos runtergefahren, um einen Sonnenuntergang im Strandrestaurant zu genießen. Ein Katzensprung ist es auch nach Tazacorte, um sich im Carpe Diem nach allen Regeln der Kunst bekochen zu lassen.

Die Finca war sehr geräumig, sauber und sehr gepflegt. Die Küche war perfekt eingerichtet - wirklich an alles wurde gedacht. Die verschiedenen vorhandenen Terrassen garantieren zu jeder Tageszeit ein Sonnenplätzchen, enweder mit einem Blick in die Berge oder aufs Meer. Wir haben uns in der Finca sehr wohl gefühlt und können sie guten Gewissens weiterempfehlen.

Traumurlaub im Paradies

Die Beschreibung des Ferienhauses ist eher noch untertrieben,denn wenn man ankommt ist die Begeisterung groß.Alles ist wunderschön und sehr gemütlich.Mehrere Terrassen zur Auswahl,der Wintergarten...perfekt.

Der Vermieter ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Das Haus hat eine ideale Lage für Ausflüge in alle Regionen der Insel,lädt aber auch zum ausgiebigen Verweilen ein um aufs Meer zu schauen und täglich sehr unterschiedliche Wolkenformationen beim Sonnenuntergang zu beobachten.

Das Haus in absolut ruhiger Lage kann man nur als sehr positiv empfehlen.

Wunderschöne Finca

In der Finca haben wir uns von Anfang an wohl gefühlt. Vor lauter schönen Ecken (Terasse mit Blick auf das Meer, Wintergarten ebenfalls mit Blick auf das Meer, Wohnzimmer mit Kamin, Dachterasse, gemütliche Küche) weiß man gar nicht, wo man es sich als erstes gemütlich machen soll. Darüber hinaus ist die Ausstattung des Hauses super und der Besitzer sehr freundlich.

Dieses Ferienhäuschen ist absolut zu empfehlen!

Ein gelungener Urlaub in einem anheimelnden alten Traditionshaus in schöner Lage

Wir haben ein traditionsreiches Haus unter einem uralten Baumriesen vorgefunden, das eine angenehme Ausstrahlung hat und durch den hellen Wintergarten aus den etwas dunklen Mauern einen Platz an der Sonne aufweist. Das Haus ist bestens ausgestattet und liebevoll gepflegt. Auch die Heizung tröstet über kalte Abendstunden hinweg. Nur die Sitzmöbel im Wohnzimmer könnten noch einmal auf ihren Sitzkomfort hin überprüft werden. Wir fühlten uns in diesem Haus gut aufgehoben.

The beaches that exist on La Palma in fine black lava sand, there are 10 - 15 minutes by car. You have a choice between the natural beaches like Charco Verde or Playa Zamora, the well-known and newly arranged beach of Puerto Naos with beach promenade right on the spot, or Playa Nueva, which is also still quite new and boasts wooden deck and restaurant. Most of the beaches there are free showers.

The way the largest city on the island, Los Llanos the Aridane, takes about 10 minutes by car. Here you will find everything you would expect from a small town: Several large supermarkets, various specialty stores (eg also fish.), Pharmacies, restaurants, cafes and a beautiful central plaza with many colonial buildings. In Los Llanos there are also a market, a regular flea market and always small events.

Los Llanos you reach the old Tazacorte, which is small but very attractive and has a welcoming beach promenade with a protected swimming and nice restaurants. The new harbor in the west of the island, Puerto Tazacorte, is located just a few kilometers from here.

From the Finca El Ciprés' You might as well and quickly drive to the south of the island to be there until 1971 caused the volcano Teneguía and the other major volcanic fields and La Palma own salt pans to look at.

Just as quickly, but it is also on the caldera, the great volcanic massif, which dominates the center of the island, and where there are numerous walking tours are conducted when needed, by well-trained leaders for a small fee.

For both routes you should allow enough time because the track is good fixed, but often steep and winding, but really spectacular.

No matter what you want to explore the island, the Finca El Cipres' is an ideal base for your holiday on Isla Bonita.
