We stayed here a few weeks ago for several days for a Beach Get-A-Way. The cottage has charm and is within walking distance to the beach. The back patio and the outside shower was great after spending a long day at the beach. The fenced yard was a must for our black lab. The cottage has two bedrooms with comfortable beds. It is perfect for families with 4-5 people, but could be a bit crowded if more than that.
It provided us with a relaxing vacation and we would absolutely stay here again!
My husband and & I took our daughter who needed a break from her PHD studies on vacation here for the weekend along with both of our small dogs. We really enjoyed our stay here, it was more than we expected. This was our first time renting a property. The next time we want to get away to Bay St. Louis we will look to stay here again. Like another reviewr said about the outdoor shower - it is fantastic to get rid of all the sand before going into the house.
We stayed for a month and were so very comfortable!!! The outdoor shower is fantastic for getting rid of sand before ever coming in the house! The Hancock County Beaches are legally and officially "dogs allowed". So, we would say that being "pet friendly" makes Gulf View Prop. BRILLIANT! Great folks to deal with...beginning to end!!
Bay St.Louis is a charmer....bikes can be rented from the chamber of commerce for almost no $$!
Great places to eat!....dont miss Cypress Cafe!
Thanks guys!!! Looking forward to next time already! T & C
We stayed here a few weeks ago for several days and really enjoyed it. The rooms are a bit small and it only has one bathroom, but those flaws were made up by its quaint charm and its proximity to the beach. The back patio was a great place to relax in the evening once things had cooled down, the beds were comfortable, the yard was very nice - especially the old oak tree - and the A/C worked very well! In July, on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, that is not a commodity to be overlooked.
Aside from the cottage itself, Bay St. Louis offers a lot historical richness and charm. Literally, the town never moves! If you're looking for peace and quiet (and we were), you won't find any spot that will serve that purpose any better than BSL.
Lastly, if you are an older couple, or a family of 3 or 4, the residence is ideal. I could see where it would feel crowded with much more than that, however. All-in-all, it provided my wife and I with a relaxing vacation and we would absolutely stay here again.
Loved it! Great proximity to the beach. Nice yard for the dogs. We bring our dogs everywhere w/ us and were thrilled that we were allowed to have them here. Just like home.....
Enjoyed my stay, while sightseeing and visiting my family home. I was traveling alone and felt completely safe and at-home there. The bed was very comfy and all was very clean. i especially loved the screened in porch across the back and listening to the frogs at night from there. Hope to return again soon. Thanks for a great stay!
