About Cathy or Ron

The Lake House was built in 1996 as our family home. We had decided to move from the west side of the state and found Lake Roosevelt on a family road trip of eastern Washington. We fell in love with the country, the property and the beautiful Lake Roosevelt. Our home was completed in the fall of 1997 and has been the center of our family life for the past 17 years. Serene and peaceful, not another home in site, a place to enjoy family and friendships, The Lake House holds the sweetest memories of our family and the celebrations of so many wonderful guests. The Lake House property has recently expanded to 3 Glamping tents also available for guests.

The tents will accommodate parties of two, include a microwave, mini refrigerator, coffee maker and bbq in a lovely grassy, garden setting and provide an outdoor experience in a beautiful Urt Company safari tent. inquire for more information and rates.

Cathy or Ron purchased this chateau / country house in 1997

Amazing comfort and natural beauty

  • 5 of 5

This house was large, spacious, beautiful and well kept. Patio and pool area is immaculate. Views of the surrounding vegetation and lake is breathtaking.

This is a very remote property, with hiking, turkey hunting, fishing, shooting, swimming, and good old running around. Cell service was almost non-existent with the best coverage available (Verizon). The closest town had only a mini-mart, a bar with a tiny hole-in-the-wall restaurant, and a post office. You even need to go to the town over to get gas. It is exactly what we enjoy on vacation, unplug and get away from population!

Without the population, you don't have light pollution. We cuddled up every night on the back pool patio and watched the stars, counting falling stars, finding constellations and satellites.

If you want shopping, dining, nightlife - this is not for you. Only the outdoorsy, or pool side dwellers will this cater to. Bring main groceries to cook on their BBQ, or full sized kitchen. You can get the easy to find items at the mini mart when you get there.

We fully plan to stay here again in the future!

Peace on Earth...

  • 5 of 5

I live on the Westside of the mountains in Wa, so I really look forward to the awe inspiring sites of the Eastside. The stay at the Lake House was everything we had hoped. The ride through the rural countryside prepared us for the beauty we saw when we arrived @ Lake House. Quiet days by the pool, enjoying time by the lake, exploring the gardens and visiting local farm stands was just the vacation we needed. It was difficult to leave this lovely home and go back to work.

Paraidise on Lake Rooseveldt

  • 5 of 5

Your photos and description of The Lake House were beautiful but by no means prepared us for what we found when we arrived for our vacation. the house is wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! Totally secluded but with a wide open view of the lake and of course, the swimming pool. The landscaping of impecable lawn, hedges, sunflowers and rose gardens surround the house and create an oasis that is hard to describe in such a private, unspoiled location. The house is complete with EVERYTHING you need for a relaxing time--beautiful kitchen, fully stocked, lovely bedroom linens and artwork and so much space for everyone. The two upstairs wings of the house allow for privacy and quiet areas and are serviced with 3 baths and a powder room. We so enjoyed our time at The Lake House the the opportunity to visit with family and friends in such a beautiful place. Thanks for everything.
