Family vacations have been at Smith Mountain Lake since our college days. We relocated to southwest Virginia 20+ years ago and raised our family. Having a place on the lake allowed us to continue our vacation tradition.
Kirk Treubert purchased this house in 1999
The location is very convenient to services and entertainment possibilities at the Hales' Ford Bridge area.
The house layout features attached bathrooms for each of the bedrooms, which is handy for many visitors.
We had a wonderful, relaxing and peaceful vacation in this lovely home which is equipped with everything you need (and more). It is located in a quiet neighborhood with beautiful views. We enjoyed relaxing on the upper deck as well as the patio on the lower level which is shaded and protected from the elements. Even on rainy days we enjoyed the outdoors. Would love to come back again!
Our family thoroughly enjoyed the clean, comfortable home! Would definitely return and hope to do so in the future!
Everything was awesome could not have been any better. A perfect weekend getaway to celebrate with the family. would love to spend more time there and hopefully plan next year. House was beautiful and everything was perfect . I wish I could find the words He provided perfect directions I would recommend this place to everyone. its a perfect place to gather friends and have just a great time. Rent a boat if you can its well worth it...
This place is in a great location and had lots of space for the 6 of us to share. 15 minutes away from restaurants and attractions. House was clean and well maintained. Enjoyed the fireworks show across the cove. I had lots of questions about area and what to do, and owner was very helpful and had lots of information. I would highly recommend this place and would use this location in the future. Thank you!
We were in the SML area looking at possible building lots for our retirement home. We normally book through VRBO or Homeaway rather than staying in hotels. We were glad we found Autumn Cove, what a wonderful house in an absolutely beautiful location! SML has a magic all its own. The views of the lake from this home were gorgeous. Wish we could have stayed longer, we lucked out with the weather and actually had our last breakfast on the deck overlooking the lake.
My family stayed at Autumn Cove for my son's wedding in Forest. It was the perfect place to get away and enjoy wedding festivities and extended family. People came from Massachusetts, Louisiana, Tennessee and Virginia.
The house had everything we needed and more. We loved kayaking and canoeing on the lake, sharing meals on the deck, campfires and even a small fireworks display. We could not have found a more perfect place to laugh, cry, enjoy each other and make some wonderful family memories.
Discussion is already in the works for a future family vacation at Autumn Cove. Thank you so much for everything.
