Hello! My name is Jose Taule. I am from San Juan, Puerto Rico, but have lived in Cincinnati, Ohio for 20+ years. I love my family, my fiancee Debra and her daughter and have a wonderful son and two beautiful granddaughters with whom I enjoy spending my leisure time with. I also am an avid golfer and love all sports, but especially baseball. I am also a real estate investor, a realtor, and a jewelry store owner. I have a BBA in Business Administration and service in the US Army as Military Police (1982-1988).
Jose Taule purchased this condo in 2005
I bought this condo in Fajardo, Puerto Rico because it is one of the best areas in Puerto Rico to have a vacation w/its spectacular views, the rain forest and beautiful beaches. It also gives me a place to stay when I get the opportunity to go back to Puerto Rico and visit my family.
My favorite things to do when I'm staying at my property is looking out at the view from my balcony and feeling the ocean breeze, going with my cousin, Miguel, on his boat to visit the islands and the pristine beaches, going to El Yunque Rainforest, day trips to Old San Juan, and the night life in San Juan and at the El Conquistador Resort and Casino. And, of course, visiting with my family!
I am a local from Puerto Rico and stayed during the July 4th weekend. The main reason why I chose this condo is because it was pet friendly and I was able to bring my little dog. To my surprise he went wild when I took him for his walks because it seems he loved the spectacular ocean breeze. As for me, I absolutely loved the place. The view is breathtaking and the breeze just numbs you. At times we were so relaxed we didn't even want to leave the apt. It's a great place to stay if you want to relax and get away!! You breathe peace and tranquility, just awesome. We were lucky because we had front row seats to the fireworks from the Conquistador hotel o on the 4th. The beach, snorkeling, and alot of other great things to do nearby. We went to this restaurant in the Croabas called "El Pescador" excellent place to eat! The chef fishes his own sea food, fish, etc., so you eat the catch of the day, always fresh, if he doesn't fish, he doesn't open. On our last day I was finally able to see 3 manatees. I would recommend this place and would definitely stay again. Miguel was very helpful, thanks!!
This was our second time to stay in Jose's condo for a wonderful stress free week. Jose is very easy to work with and does everything to provide an enjoyable stay. Miguel met us at the airport with the keys and took care of everything we needed. The view is magnificent and the condo very clean and comfortable. It even smelled good. My husband liked the big screen TV and A/C, although with the ocean front breezes, you don't really need it. We could still hear the roosters every morning and watch the manatees in the ocean. From the 28th floor, ( I repeat) the view is to die for. We went to the historic town of Ponce, El Yunque rainforest, Old San Juan twice, Bacardi Rum Factory, Luquillo Beach and found two new wonderful places to eat. Don't miss going to Las Vistas for breakfast and Don Esteban for lunch or dinner (both in Fajardo and both remarkable). Thanks, Jose. We can't wait to come back :)
This place has a million dollar view.Miguel met us at the airport on time to drop off the keys. The condo was very clean and comfortable and well maintained. We stayed a week and not one day did we need to use A/C. We opened all the windows and took advantage of the breeze that's always blowing. We could hear the surf all day and the roosters in early am. How cool!We took many day trips including the Old City; El Yunque rain forest ; The Arecibo Observatory and many more . The restaurants Di Yukas: Tapas Le Lo Lai are a must as well as Calizo. All close by. El Varadero Cafe for breakfast ,lunch@ the marina across from Di Yukas rest.Vistas Cafe was also a great experience. I have already recommended to relatives and friends. Planning on returning soon.
I want to start by apologizing for taking so long to write a wonderful review about this rental apartment in Puerto Rico. My name is Nexa and I stayed from April 1st through April 8th in Jose's condo along with my 15 year old daughter and my 8 year old grandson. I will start by saying the place is BEAUTIFUL! It is very clean and the view is amazing. Jose and his nephew Miguel, were very helpful every time I called. From the living room you can look down like Jose says, and you can see the manatees, well my daughter and my grandson named these manatees. They were only able to see two, so here are their names: Gilbert and Quinby. I will end this by saying that we will definitely be back to stay at Jose's condo. Thank you so much Jose!
I need to apologize for such a late review, but after returning from a wonderful vacation in Puerto Rico, we came back to reality--the holiday celebrations came (Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's), planning of two birthday parties within a five month period and life in between delayed my review.
First, I want to say that my experience with Jose was beyond awesome. From my first e-mail to my last phone call with him, all I can say are positive things about our vacation. He always answered my e-mails and phone calls (even when we were in Puerto Rico). He was extremely helpful & offered suggestions of what to do around the area. For some things, you will need a car, but you may want to take a nice walk and enjoy the scenery.
Second, I must say that his place is amazing. Someone met us at the car rental place to give us the keys for the condo--which I thought was extremely nice of them to do that. You need a card to park in their private lot & there was ample parking. We always felt safe. Once in the apartment, we looked out & the views are way beyond gorgeous. He wasn't kidding when he says he has the best views on the island! Every morning whether rain or shine, we would look out the windows--all we saw were the beautiful waters, the islands nearby and the gorgeous sky. It was absolutely spectacular! You can't beat the views anywhere... seriously! Did I mention that we saw manatees too? Yes, it was that cool! The apartment was perfect for the three of us--two adults and a small child. The apartment was very comfortable, quiet, clean and roomy. We even thought about purchasing a place of our own--especially if it had views like this one.
Third, we were pretty close to certain eateries & beaches. We rented a car because we wanted to venture out & check out the island. My fiancé is originally from Puerto Rico, so he knew most of the places we visited, but we did follow some of Jose's suggestions.
This was an overall great experience. Working with Jose was extremely easy from beginning to end. This was the first time I've rented from VRBO & all I can say is I'd definitely do it again if every owner is exactly like Jose. My fiancé & I would definitely return to his condo if he had the availability during the time we plan to visit. In fact, we're thinking of returning to PR very soon.
Thanks again, Jose, for renting out your condo to us last year. Hopefully, we'll see you soon! People... one word... AWESOME!
Such amazing views and great apt!! Lots of light and cool (no need to switch on AC). Very clean, well furnished, plenty of towels, great shower. Kitchen had everything we needed, we ended up having dinner at home every day enjoying the sunset and the views. We are very picky, but this time we could not find anything to complain about the apt.
Located 5min driving from the ferry to Vieques and Culebra, and 15min driving from Ceiba airport (ferry tickets were sold out...). Grocery stores, pharmacy, and good panaderia nearby. This was our fourth stay in the Fajardo area and so far the best! We wish we had an extra day just to enjoy more the balcony, the pool, and the condo private beach.
Jose and Miguel promptly replied to our emails and texts, and Miguel was very nice and gave us good tips on what to do in the area. Thanks! We will be back next year.
A variety of activities for day and evening are here for your pleasure. During the day, you can take the ferry to nearby Culebra or Vieques Islands and enjoy some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. For an additional fee, call Captain Mingo at 787 383-6509 in his 25' boat he will take to Icaco Island (20 Min. ride) for $30.00 round trip and enjoy a day of swimming, snorkeling or fishing. Another nearby daytime activity is the El Yunque Rainforest...Beautiful waterfalls, walking/hiking trails, vistas and foliage. A little longer drive will take you to Old San Juan...shopping, restaurants, and history. Nearby evening activities include dancing, gambling, shopping, and restaurants at the El Conquistador Hotel. My favor, Charter catamarans, that will take you to Icaco and or palomino islands for a day of snorkeling, terrific beach, good food and drinks and of course great music. Take Catamaran name Barefoot V with Captain Robert and tell him Jose send you.
