I just wanted to tell you again how much we enjoyed our stay in the Emeryville loft March10-20!! It is so much more pleasant than a hotel, and we were grateful that the time opened up so we could stay longer than our original reservation. It is so roomy and well equipped!!
Our stay went well-- beautiful weather, no earthquakes, AND our daughter got a new job while we were there!!
Perhaps we'll see you on our next trip to Oakland!!
We stayed for 5 days in June 2014 and loved every minute in this condo. It was comfortable and spacious. I especially liked the fact that there were 2 bathrooms and 2 televisions. It was great to have the washer/dryer and we even used the clothesline on the balcony. Ada was very accommodating, and immediately sent us more towels when we requested them. Everything was clean and well- maintained. We would certainly stay there again.
Key Route Loft is a very nice and comfortable condo to stay in. Making the arrangements was easy and once in town all one needs to do is call the owner, who meets you at the condo location for a quick walk through. It is necessary to meet with the owner as the condo is in a secure building with a secure parking lot.
We found the location perfect for our needs. It was nice staying away from the city across the bay, yet convenient getting there across the bridge. It is about a 20-30 minute commute to most anywhere in San Francisco, depending on when you travel.
The unit is on the top floor with a very nice view from the patio. We especially enjoyed the secured parking lot as well as the secure building. There was virtually no noise from the other units in the building. The unit and building was clean and very well maintained.
The bedroom, which is actually in an upstairs area of the unit, has a king size bed, which we found quite comfortable. This upper area also has a sitting area with a love seat and chair, which were very comfortable, and a television. There was more than enough storage space for clothing, etc. The only down side was that it can get warm on this level, if the weather isn't typically cool.
The main floor of the unit has a large living room space with a television, a computer desk, another full bath room, an additional sitting area, a dining room and a very modern full size kitchen with all things necessary to prepare most any meal.
During our visit we enjoyed a very nice dinner out at Skates On The Bay, at Berkeley Marina. The restaurant is situated over the water and has a fantastic sunset view over the bay.
My husband and I and our two adult sons+wives (6 people) stayed here for a week when we came out for our third son's wedding. I have booked a lot of places online, but this one is the first that looked exactly as pictured. It is a really attractive, clean and roomy place, perfect for spending time with others because of its open floor plan. The location was great, with the BART is nearby. We loved eating at the Biere Cafe next door, and also at Rudy's a short walk away, but were able to cook in the kitchen of the condo, as well. Everyone slept comfortably, using one fold-down double bed couch in the living area, plus one fabulous Queen air bed and the King bed in the loft (a huge room with walk-in closet/dressing room, bathroom and TV/couch sitting area, as well as room for two beds). We appreciated having a printer as well as Wi-Fi. Ada and Octavio were ready to accommodate us in any way they could. We plan to return, however we will bring a smaller car. There are two spaces provided in the parking garage (a plus), but both are very narrow -- our big 7-seater SUV was difficult to park.
We had a great stay at this location. The apartment is perfectly equipped, the distance to SFO only a short ride. Everything you need is close around. We do definetly recommend this place.
I normally do not write reviews but I was so happy with my stay that I just wanted to share my opinion. We rented from 10/5 to 10/11. Ada who is super sweet and professional did not expect us to get there so early, but as soon as I called her she had someone over opening and showing us everything at the condo. We will definetly go back in the near future. I recommend anyone to stay at this spacious rental. It is beautifully decorated and filled with all the necessities if you are planning on staying for a while. Very quiet and located within a few minutes from San Francisco. We sincerely enjoyed every minute and we want to thank Ada again for the wonderful experience.
We are a family of 4 (2 teen-aged daughters 18 and 14) and we stayed at this modern loft for 5 days in August when we had to help our eldest move to her dorm at UC Berkeley. The loft is very comfortable, spacious and was laid out nicely. It was also conveniently located to the shops and BART. Like the other reviewer, we also could not find the ironing board :).
Ada, the property manager was very nice and she met us at the loft when we arrived. She was very helpful.
We will definitely stay here again! In fact, we are already planning our next visit.
Situated in the heart of Emeryville’s commercial district. The loft offers modern amenities in an area steeped in history , easy shopping, commuting, and living.
Just 10 minutes from Berkeley
Just 16 minutes to San Francisco
This historic block, at the convergence of Yerba Buena Avenue and Adeline Street, was once the confluence of four of the old Key Route railway’s streetcar lines. While the Key Route is history, this location remains very well served by public transit (including BART, AC Transit, and the free Emery-Go-Round shuttle) and is ideally situated for private car commuters as well. From this location, a driver headed in any direction can use surface streets to easily circumvent the worst of the Bay Bridge-80-880-580. The loft is also an easy foot commute to Pixar and Chiron, Oakland and Berkeley within comfortable cycling range.
