Why Visit Paris When You Can Live There?

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed here in September and the location was perfect. The apartment is in the 7th District, very close to embassies, ministries and the National Assembly so it was quiet and very secure. Just blocks from the Seine, the Grand Palais, the Rodin Museum and the metro. We gathered food, pastries, wine and caviar from nearby vendors with whom we became familiar and consumed our treats on the lovely terrace. A ten minute walk to Le Bon Marche or to Rue Cler. The apartment was clean and the furnishings comfortable. Just what you would expect for a pied a terre in Paris. Minor issues (like a non-working safe) were outweighed by getting to experience Paris like a Parisian.

Elegant spacious apartment - St. Germain- Wonderful outlook!

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed the apartment with lots of windows looking at a beautiful Gothic Basilica.

The furnishings were comfortable, well equipped kitchen, good sized bathroom with walk-in shower (we always have trouble working out the water temp-in Europe). Don't be put off by the entrance---it is typical of all old European structures---the apartment is a delight and Sophie & Phillipe were always comfortingly available if needed. The location is wonderful, lovely grocery store, excellent bakeries and wine stores steps away. Quiet street--we will definitely go back and highly recommend the accommodation.

Nice Apartment for 2 in great safe area.

  • 4 of 5

We recently traveled to Paris for our wedding and chose to stay at an apartment rather than a hotel for space. This apartment was a good comfortable size for 2 people (and has a loft with another bed). The kitchen is not large, but a great size for Paris and big enough to prepare meals if you would like. The bathroom is an excellent size with a large shower (there is no tub, so if that's important to you--this is not the right place). Plenty of hot water--once you figure out how to use the hot water heater--ask them to show you instead of relying on the instruction book. While the apartment was clean, note that the furniture is a bit older and has slight stains--not as elegant as the pictures. And, the sofa is not full size--it's a love seat (which I personally think they should put a full size b/c it would fit in the living room). There is laundry in the unit but it is a shared washer/dryer which was very hard to figure out--the instructions in the book were for a different machine (again, ask them to show you how to use). It took us nearly 5 hours to do one load of laundry--I would suggest taking it all to a laundromat instead. The bed was pretty comfortable--couldn't complain and I'm super picky! The location is excellent--really easy to access the metro, walk to the seine & the eiffel tower. There is a pretty good restaurant on the bottom floor of the building. It was not loud at all except for one night when someone must have been having a party at the restaurant, otherwise, never noticed it. Also, the next door neighbor is wonderful--very lovely & helpful. Another thing to note, is the building is very old and needs some updating--this didn't bother me, but for some it may (hallway/front door need some attention). The elevator is also very tiny, BUT I was able to fit in it wearing a very large wedding dress, so I was happy. I would say 2 people can squeeze in without luggage, one person with a piece of luggage. All in all it was a good apartment, but a tad expensive for what we got in my opinion.

Great place

  • 5 of 5

Stayed here last June and loved it. The pictures they supplied are true, and the place is that nice. There are many windows, and they look over the basilica. There is a wrap around porch.

The kitchen is very usable and well supplied. We hosted a dinner for seven people there. Nearby are food stores and around the corner are specialty stores.

There is a bonus room up a ladder. Not well suited for older people or very young children. But your teen or tween could easily climb the ladder and be very happy with their own room.

The master is a corner room and is very bright and comfortable. Lot's of closet space.

There was a TV, and entertainment system that we never used. The internet was slow (by US standards). The bathroom is modern and clean (Their pictures are very accurate). There is an elevator, but it's the smallest I've every been in.

We've recommended this place to our friends!

Beautiful, light airy apartment

  • 5 of 5

This apartment is light and airy with a wonderful wrap-around balcony facing the basilica of Ste Clothilde. We have rented several times from Sophie and Philipe, and have never been disappointed. Their apartments are beautifully furnished, immaculately clean, and in very interesting locations. The Rue Casimir apartment is right between the 6th and 7th arrondisements, easy walk to wonderful restaurants, movie theaters, shopping, Musee D'Orsay, Rodin Museum. Just across the bridge from the Place de La Concorde. The apartment itself is comfortable and just as the pictures show it. Highly recommend it!
