Historic Tuscan villa in classic park nearby the sea with garden and pool

Bedrooms 7
Space 8,611 sq. ft.
Property type villa
Minimum Stay 7 nights

About the property

Tuscan villa with with pool and big garden beach in walking distance, 7 Bedrooms

Villa Le Case Nuove is an elegant classical Tuscan villa about 1 km from the sea (8-10 minutes on foot), surrounded by approx. 50 hectares of cornfields, heather and olive trees and a little lake for country walks. The villa, built around 1800, is about 800 m2 and has been the family's summer and winter residence since then. There s a classical garden in front. Its 150-year-old trees give plenty of shade on hot summer days.

The pool 20X10 m has been built in 2002. The pool and the pool area might also be used by 3 other families, but are big enough to grantee space and privacy for everyone.

All the villas furniture is antique, but all services, e.g. gas central heating, washing machine and dishwasher and state-of-the-art electricity generator, are up-to-date. On the ground floor there’s a living room with open fireplace, a dining room, a studio´ ant the very big kitchen

Furnishing details: The upper floor contains 7 bedrooms (5 double, 2 single). There’s plenty of space for extra cots, and there’s a view of the garden and the sea. There are also 2 baths and 3 smaller wash rooms. On request you can also rent, separately or together, the Fattoria with its 150 m2. The beautifully renovated Fattoria contains, all on one floor, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, large kitchen and living room with a Roman fountain. You’ll find a direct link to the Fattoria ( 22492) at 'further information/ internet'. Organised nature walks and guided bicycle tours to Volterra or Elba.

Special attractions: There’s lots to do all around this area. Florence, Bolgheri, Lucca, San Gimignano, Volterra and Pisa are just 30 to 60 minutes away by car.

We love to organize weddings as well. Come and get married in romantic Castiglioncello. A cook could be ordered on special demand, also for one dinner only.

Wines: Since the 13th century there have been vineyards on Terricio near Castiglioncello, but they have only been world famous for the last 10 years. 'The Tenuta del Terricio is a cellar that is regularly awarded the highest marks at wine-testing, to shouts of joy,' so says the Italian wine expert 'Gambero Rosso'. In the little picturesque town of Bolgheri as well as in Castiglioncello they make wine from Cabernet, Sauvignon and Franc grapes. The wine they produce is opulent, intense and long lasting.

Actually, I stayed here on vacation over 5 years ago, but I still remember it well. Truly a wonderful historic property and the owners leave a lot of important photos and family heirlooms on display for you to see and experience. a very special place, i hope to visit again

Beautiful House - but 40 Years ago

  • 2 of 5

This is ( or was...40 yeras ago) an old, magnificent house with nice garden and surrounding. However the standard can be compared to 2 Star hotel or less - the doors, furniture, floors and especially bathrooms are of a very low standard. It seems that the owners did not do any renovation for years and only work done was to make the pictures of the house attractive ( only the front of the house is renovated, just the front wall - all other walls are old with parts of them falling out..). So even though the location is great, the house is big one must realize that while renting it one accepts a very low standard of interior. As a positive the manager Susanne is very professional and helpful! Great job Susanne!!!

Owner's Response: Dear Hubert, Thanks for sharing Your comments with us. It is truly a pity You did not appreciate the villa, which is an historical property and not just some old house. All the furniture is antique and very precious. We keep on renewing and renovating every single year, but of course, at the end it is not a modern house, but a charme location whit plenty of history ! Please feel free to contact me any time under the email adress You know Best Regards Maria Stella Diana

American friends in Tuscany

  • 5 of 5

We were skeptical in the beginning of renting this villa because it sounded too good to be true. It turned out to be better than we ever expected. Olga Diana was so gracious and attentive to every question we had and very anxious for us to have a good time. Her sister takes care of the place when she isn't there and speaks very little English, but goes out of her way to be helpful. The beauty and history of the place was amazing and very comfortable for the 8 of us who stayed. There was plenty of room for more. We had cleaning/maid service twice while we were there for a week. It was very nice to not have to worry about that when we were busy with other things.

The location was in a village by the sea, but secluded enough that we didn't know we were so close to town. The town is charming, clean, and not very crowded in May. There are numerous restaurants and shopping places. We went there to explore Tuscany, but had a hard time leaving the house and town because it was so comfortable. It is near many towns within a day trip to visit and the train stops in town. There are walkways all along the beach for running or walking with awesome views and great stopping places.

The house had huge rooms with great space for a lot of people. All the rooms were king beds (twins put together) and baths for each. There were also two single twin rooms that were nice and spacious. From the upstairs windows you had a view of the Mediterranean and the tops of the taller domes and towers in town. We found a new room almost daily, as this house was like something out of a mystery book. The kitchen had good cooking supplies and the dining room was very large. We loved eating out in the lighted garden at night under a full moon as well. The landscaping is a work of art in itself, including an herb garden for cooking. Personal photo albums and framed art told lots of stories about the family and the area. There are also walks behind the house to a lake. The pool is huge, if you are there in the summer.

Olga described the house from her childhood as a "happy house" and I couldn't agree more. We loved it.

een schitterend vakantiehuis

  • 5 of 5

Mooie grote slaapkamers, balkons, badkamers.

Traumhafter Urlaub in historischer Villa

  • 5 of 5

  • 4 of 5

Sehr gepflegte altertümiche Villa mit herrschaftlichem Abiente. Abstriche sind im Renovierungsbereich zu machen: z. B. veraltete Sanitärsituation, jedoch teilw. Originalbäder mit antiken Kacheln u.a.
