Nina and I have been traveling to Bonaire over 25 years looking for the “perfect spot”. As the first purchaser at Bellevue during the building's planning phase, we purchased the coveted 3rd floor corner unit. This provides excellent security, trade winds throughout and expansive birds eye killer views from the living room, both bedrooms and seaside terrace.
Our search criteria:
*Peaceful BEACHFRONT location; breath taking ocean sunset views; PRIVATE seaside terrace. NOT on a lagoon, man-made canal or marina.
*The security of upper floor living with sweeping expansive views from all windows. Outdoor privacy on the seaside terrace for intimate meals, sunbathing etc.
*Private natural soft sand beach (difficult to find on Bonaire) and a great dive site in front; No climbing down messy wet/dangerous ladders, easy sand entrance/exit into the sea.
*Away from the hustle of Kralendyk. It's a picturesque town, but we avoid it when a cruise ship is in port.
*Seaside f/w pool
*Away from the airport noise. Enjoy the peace & tranquility at VINIBU. Listen to the song of the troupials instead!

The beachfront Bellevue Condominium Residence (11 units, completed late 2008) is surrounded by lush tropical gardens and palm trees 10 minutes south of Kralendyk; an exclusive neighborhood of prestigious oceanfront homes.

An elevator takes you up to your secure 3rd floor corner unit which we named VINIBU. The spacious living room opens up onto the beachfront terrace which provides a sweeping panorama offering surreal views of the dazzling diaphanous turquoise waters, Klein Bonaire and the mountainous north part of the island.
The soft sandy beach and Caribbean Sea are 10 steps away! In one minute you can wade into the 80 degree gin clear water, take a dip in the pool and hot tub or just enjoy the privacy of your covered balcony as you sit back & enjoy the sunset. Marvel at the ever changing hues of the crystal blue water & watch the dolphins which swim by in the early morning hours.
Your cheerful bright and airy condo is all one level, no interior stairs. VINIBU is constructed to take advantage of the refreshing trade winds (one of the many benefits besides the upper-floor 180 degree seaside view) which blow east to west & naturally cool the rooms. All windows have micro-mesh screens which keeps out the smallest of bugs and mosquitoes. Mosquitoes (and their deleterious health issues) are attracted to low lying places surrounded by vegetation. We avoid them. The higher up in elevation you are, the less of a potential problem they are!
The 2 bedrooms at VINIBU have micro-mesh screened windows which open outward (with an additional private terrace off the guest bedroom) and provide an elevated island view. As an added benefit of being a third floor CORNER unit, you'll have complete privacy (unlike the lower apartments and center floor units where other guests walk by IN FRONT OF YOUR BEDROOM WINDOWS forcing you to close the windows, draw the curtains and keep them shut). Frequently we are lulled to sleep with the windows wide open and enjoy the refreshing breezes. Wake up to sound of the waves on your beach and the birds singing in the trees below instead of the loud annoying hum of your neighbor's airco compressor (located on the ground level) or another guest walking by the walkway (lower and all center apartments). What a life for you to enjoy and a vacation you'll be sure to fondly remember (we have many repeat guests). Like us, we believe you DO deserve the best!
For your comfort, new LG split unit inverter air conditioners and air ducts were installed in 2016. They are EXTREMELY quiet (as you may have guessed, we don't appreciate noisy compressors) and environmentally are very "green" and energy efficient. The option is yours; au natural cooling with the "upper floor" breezy trade winds and ceiling fans throughout the condo or QUIET air conditioned bedrooms for a great night's comfortable sleep.
The master bedroom has a wonderful view of the Caribbean; the guest bedroom opens up onto a small terrace which overlooks the east side of the island. Each has an en suite bathroom with a large walk in shower.
For those occasions when you want to “eat in”, a cheerful modern fully equipped kitchen is provided with all granite counters, full size oven, smaller toaster oven, broiler, ceramic cook top, microwave, coffee maker, blender, toaster, electric hot water kettle, outside Weber grill on the seaside terrace, dishwasher, all dishes/utensils etc. Additionally we have; cable wall mounted LCD TV, Bose Wave Music system with I Pod docking station and blue tooth capability for any bluetooth device where your music is stored, hi speed wired PRIVATE Secured ADSL internet connection (or secure wireless if you prefer), clothes washer, and linens & towels are also provided. A secure electronic safe (can accommodate laptop) is in the unit to store valuables. We also have a private simplisafe security system; (google simplisafe for additional details) installed to ensure our guests' safety, security of their possessions and peace of mind.
Great scuba diving, swimming and snorkeling directly in front of the condo right off your own private soft sand beach. Absolutely no need to worry about swarms of cruise ship passengers descending on your spot! Buddy Dive at Belmar a full service dive center is located just 300 meters away. Also, our beach has no dive moorings on our reef. That means no rushing to public dive sites and then have a dive boat drop 20 divers on top of you! We have made many enjoyable dives in front of VINIBU. Advantages; No dive sites to drive to; EZ entry/exit on soft sand beach, upon exiting you have a fresh water shower, rinse tank and gear storage immediately available. Nothing could be easier for those who just want to kick back and do some early morning, afternoon or evening night dives or snorkeling!
Bellevue is constructed over one of the few natural sandy beaches on Bonaire. It’s a great spot for beginner divers with the sand entry and exit, not the iron shore which is prevalent around the island. The magnificent reef drop off is 50 meters off shore in approximately 35 feet of clear water.
In the evening, enjoy a cool drink as you await the “green flash” as the tropical sun majestically settles into the Caribbean. You could not have a better view anywhere on the island then from your own private elevated terrace!

Vince began scuba diving at age 13 in the Manasquan Inlet in New Jersey. In the days before mandatory certification, he was self-taught.
Although there were many enjoyable trips throughout the Caribbean over the years, Bonaire's spectacular diving, perfect weather, and easy pace always beckoned, and, in 2005, we were the first buyer at Bellevue from the plans of the site proposal and chose the coveted 3rd floor corner unit (#9) which was to boast fantastic seaside views. The first thing that attracted us was the site! There was a beautiful natural soft sand beach directly in front. Additionally, the site was far enough away from the airport that noise from planes would not be a factor. Construction took over 3 years to complete. We were the first to stay at Bellevue in the latter part of 2008 and currently spend 3 months a year there.

Belnem boasts some of the most luxurious private seaside properties on all of Bonaire. You'll find that neighboring properties along the shore road are priced well in excess of $1.5 million. Belnem is quiet, yet only a ten minute ride to Kralendyke the main town on Bonaire. We guarantee that you will not be over run with cruise ship passengers when the ships are in port.
Want a private, natural (NOT man made) soft sand beach for your enjoyment? Well we've got it! We suggest that you always ask to see photos of the beach on properties which advertise 'beachfront'. You may be surprised as to what some advertise as a beach.
Additionally, the location is just ideal to access the southern dive sites, a great dive shop 30 secs away for EZ access to filled tanks (air & nitrox) as well as 5 minutes from the windsurf facilities located at Lac Bay. We believe the Belnem location as absolutely ideal which is why we chose this property when we purchased.

This place is incredible! The view is out of this world from the shaded deck where we enjoyed the gentle breeze on the comfy lounge chairs, pina coladas from the blender in hand. The little beach out front is sandy, a rarity on Bonaire. The king bed in the main bedroom is very comfortable, and the bedroom AC is powerful enough to keep things nice and cool through the night. The kitchen has all you need (did I mention the blender?) and the unit has a Bose speaker with ipod/iphone docking station to spin your tunes. The decor is cheery without being kitschy or cluttered. The wifi works well, there are lots of little coolers to pack a picnic, and the washing machine can handle a full load. Both the owners and the realty company are quick and helpful with responses to questions or problems. The dive shop is a one minute drive down the road, so it was really easy to pick up tanks each morning. Thanks, Vince and Nina, for a terrific vacation in Vinibu!
We enjoyed our stay at Vinubu. Like staying at small complexes. The unit was comfortable, and being on the corner of the building gave us nice breezes. There were a couple of days where the wind was calm and it got a little muggy inside. There was an air conditioner in the bedroom/s, and we used it in the master bedroom at night. Loved the grill on the balcony, and the small pool area. Most of the units were rented by couples, but unfortunately the people staying in the condo next door to us had two young toddlers that screamed and yelled a lot. This could happen anywhere, but wish it hadn't happened on our vacation. With the windows open, and sitting on the balcony, it was not always so peaceful. Sunbelt Realty who manages Vinibu were very nice, and checked in on us a couple of times during our stay, including a mid-week cleanup. Liked that the complex was out of the main downtown area.
Our 6th visit to the Island, and by far the most enjoyable. Loved the location and sitting on the deck, listening to the waves breaking outside. The breeze was great by opening up the doors and the screens kept all the bugs out. (One screen was pulled out, but they fixed it the following day.) Only used the A/C in the bedroom at night ( We love it cold when we sleep!) We ate every dinner at Vinibu, except for one. They have a great new supermarket and we found it much cheaper than going out, plus, we both love to cook and the kitchen is complete with anything you could possibly need. The grill on the porch is awesome. Got fresh fish every night and ate salads/veggies. Loved snorkeling right outside...the beach was perfect. Fabulous vacation and am sorry that we are home!!!! We can't wait to go back and we definitely will!!
When I first reached out to Vince and Nina about renting this condo again it wasn't available on the dates of our vacation....so I did the most reasonable thing; I changed our vacation dates.
It's that nice a place!
The rooms are spacious and comfortable, there are all the amenities of home, all the appliances are up to date and easy to use and the view is to die for.
It's located a little south of the airport which we love as it's quieter down there, but it's not so far from town that going out for dinner or whatnot is an issue at all.
They also help us deal with our rental truck and diving arrangements every time and even that is super easy. They hook us up with A/B Car rental ((great folks; super easy to deal with) and the satellite shop of Buddy Dive (Belmar Diving..great people and a great dive shop).
The on site rinse tank and locked dive gear cage is a huge plus as our gear was secure and able to be rinsed and hung right there.
I could go on and on, but long story longer....it's a beautiful and comfortable condo, the location is great, the owners are very nice and quite quick to respond to any inquiry and the car rental/diving hook up is first class. I won't stay anywhere else in Bonaire at this point; I'm too spoiled here.
This condo was one of the most beautiful VRBO's that we have ever stayed at. Having all the amenities as they were advertised was such a pleasure. Everything was exactly what we expected. You will not be disappointed staying at VINIBU. From the very first time you contact Vince and Nina all the way until you return home, the service is first class and they make sure you are very happy with all the accommodations. The best diving/snorkeling in all Bonaire is right outside the door. A cool refreshment at the end of the day as the sun sets down is beyond description. Thanks Vince and Nina for sharing your home with us and making our vacation so special.
Just 48 hours ago I was sitting on the balcony of Bellevue (ViNiBu) and I can still here the ocean breaking on the beach. I'm hesitant to write this because it will be a rave review and I'm afraid I will create competition for when we want to go back! If you read through all of these reviews you will immediately know that this building and this particular unit, are special and unique. I won't re-hash all the good things previously stated only to say: believe them, they are all true. The unit is clean, comfortable, pleasantly decorated, and fully functional - even a great blender for afternoon frozen beverages! The location is magnificent and boasts one of the few sandy beaches in the area. During the day and evening, with the balcony door and back door open (screens), the breeze flows through and keeps everything very comfortable. We only ran AC to sleep at night. The house reef was as pretty as any dive or snorkel that we did. The location on the Island is ideal. Belmar Dive shop, a few doors down and affiliated with Buddy Dive, is awesome and will help with everything. If this is your first visit to Bonaire I suggest buying the guide book that they sell "Shore Diving Bonaire Made Easy". Written by a local author, this book is perfect whether you are diving or snorkeling. We have visited many places in the caribbean but none are quite like this. In short, ViNiBu is a great condo, in a great location on a great island. Now, just don't try to book it when I want it!!!!
Animal lovers be sure to visit Bonaire's Donkey Sanctuary. Enjoy a quite seaside picnic scenic at Lac Cai. If you want a party atmosphere, visit Lac Cai on Sundays. Alternatively, just enjoy our private (not man made) beach which is one of the few on Bonaire to just relax and enjoy the sun, soft sand and surf.
