The cabin was perfect for our group of 3 adults and 3 kids. Great location, views and easy access to Lake Tahoe. Sleeping accommodations were all very comfortable and bathrooms were nicely maintained. We loved the updated kitchen!
We keep on coming back to this private escape with a gorgeous morning walk lake view! We go here at least once per summer and once per winter and love it! Great place for kids and adults to relax and have fun! Cosy living area with a fireplace, new kitchen and downstairs bathroom. Clean and well kept with friendly and caring owners.
We have rented this cozy cabin for over 6 years in a row. The cabin is neat, efficient and cozy. We love waking up to the silence of snow falling as we wake up and look out the big picture window. We like to ski at Homewood which is less than 10 miles down the road. My husband does not ski so it is easy for him to be our "ski valet" dropping us off, bringing us lunch and picking us up at the end of the day, in between, hanging out and reading a book at the cabin.
At the end of the day, the kids crash on the big couches in front of the fire while we make dinner….the cottage is cozy but easily accommodates two families with kids or our kids with friends in tow (we have done both). We often do not ski one day and instead head to the end of the road and take a beautiful hike through the forest if the snow is not too deep or we find a good hill to sled down. Tahoe City is a convenient 10 minute drive for groceries and many restaurant choices. We love Tahoe but hate the crowds and hassle…..this cabin makes everything so easy and fun even on a busy holiday weekend.
This was our first time in Lake Tahoe and using the cabin. We had a terrific stay. The cabin was clean, cozy, great place to hang out with the family. The lake is close by and the cabin amenities were perfect. The hiking trails were close by and we enjoyed walking with our 3 year old grand daughter every morning. Wonderful memories and Penny was a terrific host.
This was my second stay in the cabin, and I can't wait to stay again. The house is comfortable, with everything you need to make it a great family or friend trip (kitchen, fireplace, deck, etc). It's close to the main area of Tahoe City, and only 10 minutes from Squaw Valley. Good walking trails close by, and access to the private beach area. Only warning is that the upstairs bedroom gets the maximum light with all the windows and no door, so bring an eye mask if you plan on sleeping past sunrise! Otherwise, perfect for kids and adults. The friends that stayed with us loved the house and the location. We will definitely be back!
We had a great time and everything in the cabin was perfect. We used the access to the private beach area and it was perfect to see the fireworks. We also stumbled upon the trails at the end of the street and were able to go on a great mountain biking trip with great views to the lake. We will definitely consider coming back. Penny was a great host!
