We found The Lodge when we needed a place for 3 families to meet for a reunion that was reachable for a weekend from our OH, NY, and PA homes. We picked the place from this site and some follow up conversations with the owner, so only knew what had been published. When we got there we were so impressed with how wonderful and well-stocked it was, as well as how nice and accommodating Mark and his family were. We REALLY enjoyed our wekend at the Lodge, and the bonus of Coudersport's Maple Festival being in town that weekend was great too. The Lodge was SO relaxing. Everyone went for a walk on the beautiful property (and there's lots of it to walk on) and we just hung out at the house and enjoyed getting reaquainted. I can't imagine a better place for a quiet getaway. Thanks for everything!
We needed a place where four families with toddlers, tweens and teen in tow could have a relaxing weekend getaway. The Lodge met all of our criteria and then some. It was roomy, clean, well appointed and lovely. The Peete family goes out of their way to ensure a welcoming and comfortable stay. We wanted for nothing while we were there. We enjoyed daily hiking on the property taking in the beauty of Autumn's colors. The kids really loved making s'mores at the campfire. We will surely book again as it was such a perfect trip!
The Lodge at Lent Hollow truly is everything that is promised!! We have a large family that is spread across the country and this was an ideal location for us to gather and enjoy the beautiful Fall colors.
There is plenty to do not only at The Lodge but in the surrounding area! We range in age from 67 year to 18 months and everyone had a place of there own. The dining room is huge and was able to accommodate 14 people for dinner and a birthday party.
The kitchen could not be more well equipped and has plenty of counter space for three people to be cooking at the same time. Plenty of dishes, pot, pans, and a variety of appliances. The only issue we had was finding places to store cold food. But with the help of three cooler on the deck just off the kitchen it was no problem. There is plenty of space for dry storage.
The beds and linens were top of the line! Each with it's own down comforter and quilt.
The owner is amazing!! Both prior to our arrival and during our stay they answered all our questions. During our stay they stopped by to make sure we had everything we needed. We can't thank them enough for sharing their lovely home and history with us!
Our party consisted of 4 couples and 3 kids. We were all very comfortable, not on top of each other. The Lodge is very comfortable - we felt instantly at home - and very well stocked with necessities such as spices, paper towels, shampoo, toilet paper, dish soap and dish washer soap - all those things besides your food you don't want to have to spend tiome running errands for. The Lodge lent (pun instended) itself to an incredibly relaxing and enjoyable stay and easily fit all of us for realxing and enjoyable meals. The towels are fluffy and the linens soft and of a good quality. The place is very clean, and SO comfortable. Not in the least pretensious. It it is rustic, but in a wonderful, relaxing way.
We mostly ate out doors at the beautiful, rustic black locust picnic tables - but the beautilful dining room could have easily accomodated all of us had we inclimate weather.
There is a field perfectly set up for clay pigeon throwing - we had a great time shooting. There are tons of paths opposite direction from the shooting area on which to hike. We enjoyed peaceful, glorious mornings on the deck.
The wood was very well stocked for the sauna and the fire pit area. We could not have asked for better hosts. The Lodge is about a 45 minute drive from Wellsboro. Cherry Springs State Park, Pine Creek Gorge and Sinnamahoning - all well worth your time in visiting.
We were made to feel welcome by Mr. Peet, and the family obvioulsy takes great care to ensure guest comfort, which we deeply appreciated - we really relaxed and plan on being back for a longer stay in the future.
The Lodge at Lent Hollow is the perfect mountain getaway! The lodge is clean and well maintained. We enjoyed hiking, boating, fishing, target shooting and more. The men in our group enjoyed riding their 4-wheelers for hours all over the mountain and the women enjoyed reading and relaxing on the wrap-around deck! The Spring House and Sauna are unique amenities as well. Also convenient to the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon. The Peet Family is very hospitable and a pleasure to work with. We highly recommend a stay at the lodge!
A group of friends and I went up to the Coudersport area to enjoy the fresh summer air and see the beautiful stars of Cherry Springs (if you're in the area, do yourself a favor and go see the starts in this wonderful park). The Lodge at Lent Hollow was extremely cozy, clean, and had a fully stocked kitchen. We all enjoyed hanging out in the cabin-like family room, and had big dinners thanks to the large dining table and fully stocked kitchen. The house slept 13 of us comfortably and there was room yet for a few more. Despite the summer temperatures, the awesome sauna was well used, and tending to the wood stove became a popular activity. Everyone had an excellent time just relaxing inside and outside of this wonderful home, especially on the large deck. There are lengths of trails for day hikes or ATV rides right behind the house, just don't get lost!
