Lovely apartment with beautiful views

We enjoyed our stay in this very well-equipped and stylish apartment. Christa was very helpful before and during our visit. We spent some of our time walking the local levadas, and my husband, a keen trail-runner, found some challenging local routes. We would like to return and stay longer next time.

Madeiras schöne Seite

Casa Alberta liegt in sehr schöner ländlicher Umgebung in 440 m Höhe und ist gut mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Die Wohnung ist entspricht der Beschreibung und ist recht vollständig ausgestattet - alles funktioniert. Unsere Vermieterin ist sehr aufgeschlossen und kümmert sich umgehend um alle Fragen oder Wünsche ihrer Gäste. Die Wohnung hat gehobene Aufenhaltsqualität und viel Platz, wobei der Glanzpunkt sicher der Aussichtsplatz auf der großen Terrasse ist, die einen sehr schönen 180-Blick über die locker bebauten Hänge bis zum Meer bietet - eine Wohltat für die Augen und die Sinne.

Vor Ort ist die Versorgung gut; es gibt genug Läden, Kneipen und Restaurants in näherer Umgebung. Wer gern wandert und sich spezielle den Westen Madeiras genauer anschauen will, der ist hier bestens aufgehoben.

Bequem nach ca. 20 minütigem Fußweg zu erreichen ist sicherlich die "Casa de Chá", die unmittelbar neben der "Quinta do Alto de Sao Joao" liegt. Unter TripAdviser findet man folgende empfehlenswerte Restaurants in Ponta do Sol: "The Small house" und "The Old Pharmacy" in der Fußgängerzone, direkt angrenzend "Hotel da Vila", das zum "Estalagem Da Ponta do Sol" auf dem Bergrücken gehört. Am Bergrücken befindet sich das "Restaurant Sol Poente", das einen herrlichen Balkon mit Blick in den Sonnenuntergang umfaßt. Direkt am Strand gibt es das "Mare Alta Bar-Restaurant", das mit dem Steak auf einem heißen Stein brilliert. Wer lieber in der "Casa Albatros" seine Speisen zubereitet, findet im kleinen "Amanhecer" Supermarkt, direkt bei der BP-Tankstelle neben dem Springbrunnen in Ponta do Sol seine Zutaten. Es freut uns, dass die kulinarischen portugiesischen Köstlichkeiten gemundet haben und versprechen: es gibt noch einige interessante Variationen in der portugiesischen Küche, im Sommer häufig kombiniert mit Musikevents, die entdeckt werden wollen.

Kleines Paradies mit Traumblick

Traumhafter Blick, riesige Terrasse mit tollen Pflanzen (u.a. Maracuja & Feigen zum Pflücken!) und massig Platz in der Wohnung (inklusive genug Möbel und Ablageflächen). Dazu schöne Dekoration und Top-Ausstattung - alles da, was man braucht + noch etwas mehr. Man fühlt sich auf Anhieb richtig wohl. Drumrum ist allerdings "ländlich" - d.h. man hört öfter Hunde, Nachbarn, Papagei und Hähne. Da gewöhnt man sich aber dran. Die Gastgeber suchen öfter Kontakt, geben von sich aus viele Tips und nehmen einen auch gerne mal wohin mit. Sympathisch. Die Lage ist top für alle Unternehmungen im Süden, Zentrum & Westen von Madeira. Aber auch im Norden ist man relativ schnell (Madeira ist ja nicht groß).

Owner's Response: Vielen Dank für den netten Beitrag! Madeira ist wirkliche eine schroffen, von Serpentinen und Tunneln durchzogene Insel. Es gibt zwar auch Mountenbiker, die sogar den Pico do Arieiro ( 1816 m ) radelnd erklimmen, für den Normalmenschen sind jedoch die Kombination von Auto und Wanderschuhen empfehlenswert. Zum Glück sind die Straßen überwiegend zweispurig ausgebaut, so dass der Parkplatz der "Casa Albatros" bequem erreicht werden kann. Mit einem herzlichen "Glückauf" an unsere Gäste aus dem Ruhrpott verbleiben Peter u. Christa (an dieser Stelle sei noch angemerkt, dass der Norden Madeiras Grotten zur Besichtigung hat, jedoch weder Kohle noch Eisenerz geologisch aufzuweisen hat.)

CASA ALBATROS

was completed in December 2012 and is located in the sunny south-west of the original Madeira village at about 400 m above sea level between banana plantations, sugar cane fields and vegetable growing.

The village of "Ponta do Sol" stretches over three hills: Lombada, Ponta do Sol Monte and Canhas.

The "Casa Albatros" is located between Monte and Canhas.

The house 'Casa Albatros' can be reached by car from the airport through to at least two-lane roads well, so no mountain driving skills are required for arrival.

The apartment has its own separate land access and its own separate apartment entrance.
