This luxuriously furnished condominium is conveniently located in the heart of Tamarindo village, close to all the amenities of the area - restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacies, banks, shops and nightlife are just steps from the property.
The condo unit features 2 bedrooms, 1 with a queen sized bed and the other with two twin beds. Four adults or small families will be very comfortable. The residence has 2 full bathrooms, including granite countertops and walk-in showers in both. Additionally, the full kitchen features all the appliances and comforts of home.
Guests will enjoy the very private and quiet surroundings, tranquil pool and the lush landscaping of the gardens. The common areas of the property are fully secured and offer management on premises 24 hours/day. Also, a free parking area is available for those renting cars, although a car is not necessary for everything is walkable in Tamarindo.
The ocean is just steps from the condo (600 feet / 200 meters) to enjoy surfing, water sports or watching the beautiful sunsets of this amazing beach area. This rustic surf town also offers the conveniences of local shopping, great restaurants and casual hangouts.
This was the perfect place to stay for a recent girls getaway. The condo is beautifully decorated and really makes you feel like you are on a tropical vacation. The proximity to the beach & restaurants was exactly what we were looking for- a simple 5 minute walk to amazing bars, restaurants and of course the water. Safety was never a concern but there was a guard on duty every night that definitely gave us piece of mind. The owners really did think of everything- there was a very detailed binder with restaurant & activity recommendations that came in handy. We had an amazing time and would absolutely stay here again! Thanks for making our stay so enjoyable!
Just perfect!!! We stayed 4 days during high season. The place is exactly as shown in the pictures, well decorated, clean and has all the appliances needed to make your stay comfortable. One detail that I found lovely is the big basket full of amenities like shampoo, cream, conditioner etc etc to be use in case that you forget something. Supercompro (supermaket) is 2 minutes walking and is also full of restaurants near by. Ryan the owner answered to any doubt almost immediately. Definitely I would repeat the experience in the same place.
The place is a short walk to the beach approx 5 mins. Located on the 2nd floor of the 3 storey building. Great place for us 4 adults & 1 kid - although i don't know how the other couple slept on the twin/ single bed (lol). Pool was always clean. Supercomp (?) is a little grocery place very near by so that was convenient esp for bottled water & we always made breakfast at home. The kitchen was pretty much fully stocked with plates, bowls, utensils, flat ware. We bought a new sponge for washing the dishes. There was one there but decided to buy a new one. There's also a laundry in the unit which was very useful. Wifi works great in the unit. There's a TV in the master bdrm but not in the living room so the other couple didn't have access to TV.
FYI - I'm pretty particular about where I stay and this place was pretty nice to stay in. I would return again.
There was a unpleasant smell to the glass cups and we concluded it's the tap water so don't think it's the cup.
Lots of places to eat around there. There's no need for a car...everything is there. We also went to Playa Conchal and took a cab which costs $20-30/ trip. You can try to negotiate with the taxi drivers.
We stayed at Balconies Pacifico #8 for 4 weeks. The location of the property is a great advantage as we did not need to use a car to enjoy all that Tamarindo has to offer.
Working with Ryan (owner) and Daniella (Horizon Pacific) was easy. Booking of the Condo, airport pick-up and housekeeping once a week was all Five Star.
Balconies Pacifico is located just a short five minute walk to the Beach where you can surf, boogieboard or just enjoy the magnificent beach. Sunsets and the mornings are the best time to be on the beach to walk. Even on hot days in the afternoon the ocean breeze and water brought respite to the heat. There are a multitude of restaurants within a 10 minute walk of the condo. We did not have a bad meal at any of the restaurants that often served large portions. All the restaurants were open air and most offered happy hour twice a day.
The condo is close to banking, shops, activities and grocery stores. There is a grocery store about a two minute walk from the condo and has everything you need. On Saturdays there is a Farmerès Market about a ten minute walk away where you can buy local produce as well as fresh fish. Many evening there are locals selling fruit out of the back of their trucks. Felt safe walking everywhere as people were all warm and welcoming.
The condo itself was just like the pictures. The balcony offered a great place for two people to have their morning coffee or smoothie as you listened to the Howler Monkeys. The condo has two bedrooms but would be more condusive to a family of four rather than two couples sharing.
The tv is in the master bedroom but then again you do not watch much tv in Costa Rica. The only thing stopping the condo from getting five stars is that some of the items need to be updated like the pots and pans and the mattress is okay but a lttle hard. You do not spend much time in the condo itself so everything is good just not great. I would also recommend a welcome basket on arrival with a coffee, pineapple or something just to get you started.
The cleaning once a week was fantastic as they left the place spotless. Security was friendly and we always felt safe. We walked everywhere even at night. I would bring a flashlight only because it does get dark early and not every place is well lit.
Although the condo does not have an ocean view it is so close to everything that the location is what makes this a great place to stay.
This place was totally affordable and in a prime location. Walking distance to all the best restaurants, bars, and shops. The place itself is very clean and great for a family or small group of friends. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends!!
We stayed at this property for 1 month with our 1.5 yr old son. This is our second trip to Tamarindo. When other reviewers said it was quiet we didn’t quite believe it but our son is a really light sleeper and we never heard anything. The location is fantastic and probably has the best access to the beach, shopping, groceries in all of Tamarindo. The condo itself was extremely clean and overall had everything we required. We needed to supply our own mixing bowls as there was limited dishware to prepare meals. The internet was very good and it was quite nice to have a phone (which we have not had before). All appliances worked great and not having a clothes dryer in the apartment was not an issue at all. The weekly maid service was excellent and for 1 month we rarely had even an ant in the condo. During the week before Easter parking was a challenge. We enjoyed the pool every day, as it was very clean. The shower for the coming off the beach was in a terrible location and was more frustrating than an asset. We are very appreciative for the use of the boogie board which we enjoyed daily. We would highly recommend this condo. The owners were excellent to work with, offered great advice and the management company was very responsive and made checking out easy. Having stayed at a different condo in the past we would make this specific #8 condo our choice again.
Tamarindo is located in the Guanacaste region of Costa Rica along the Pacific Ocean. A 45 minute drive from the Liberia Guanacaste Airport or 5 minutes from the Tamarindo Airport (a short 35 minute flight from San Jose). Tamarindo is approximately a 5 hour drive from San Jose.
Visitors of Tamarindo enjoy the beautiful coast line, casual surf-town atmosphere and the surrounding eco-tourism. While not over developed by any means, Tamarindo provides guests with excellent restaurants, nightlife and activities for the whole family. Common activities in the area are relaxing on the beach, surfing (great area for beginners), zip-line tours, jungle hikes, mountain biking, sailing cruises, eco-exploration, kayaking, deep-sea fishing.
The condo is located just off the main street, close to everything, but yet secluded enough to have privacy and quiet. A grocery store is only steps away, the property manager's office is at the end of the block and the beach is also just a block away.
