The house was a perfect getaway for my family's spring break. It was clean and had all of the accommodations you need. Larry was very knowledgeable and helpful and ensured we had a great stay. I would highly recommend!
Wonderful home and area! Spent the entire month of February here.
Elke, thank you for sharing your home and answering all our questions prior to our arrival. Your home is well furnished and very clean. We appreciated you and your property manager taking care of two minor problems, including arranging for a professional pest control company to take care of the ghost ants found in the kitchen and replacing the solar pool cover. We discovered several ants in the kitchen our first night and the very next day you were able to arrange for a professional to treat the problem - we can not expect more than that. The professional told us these ghost ants our a common problem in Cape Coral and most of Southwest Florida. We used the entire pool everyday as the area was experiencing near record high temperatures all month. The new pool cover we requested allowed us to save the cost of energy to keep the pool heated. The old cover was torn and deteriorating making it very hard to put on and off. We did speak with your pool maintenance man who came weekly to insure the water quality was correct and everything was functioning. It was nice the know the pool was well cared for. We rented the boat for 15 days but found that since my wife can not swim, she was not comfortable in a small boat out on the rough river. We would have liked to explore more of the Cape Coral canals in your boat but this style boat is known for "hunting" steering at slow speeds until the boat is on plane. This makes it a little hard to steer because of the constant adjustments it needs at these slow speeds. We would definitely return same time next year if your home was not already reserved. We spend every winter in Southwest Florida and it would be nice if you allowed your longer term renters the first choice at returning the same time-frame the following year, but understand why you may not be able to do this.
If you are considering this home, I would not hesitate to rent it. It was a safe neighborhood with stores and restaurants very near without even getting on main roads if you just didn't want to be in traffic. If you want to take a little drive we would suggest Boathouse restaurant at the Cape Coral yacht club area, Rumrunners in the Cape Harbour area, and Pinchers in the Tarpon Point marina area. All nice restaurants on the water.
Elke - let us know if your home opens up for rental next January and/or February!
Winter vacation at Villa Magnolia
Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. It was truly luxurious and provided a wonderful relief from the winter doldrums in midwest. We had breakfast on the lanai every morning enjoying the amazing view of the canal and surrounding homes. The home was clean and amazingly well equipped. It is in a wonderful, convenient area. There were a few tiny mites in the kitchen but given the climate in Florida that is probably normal. It was a little too chilly for us to use the pool but we were able to enjoy the spa. Larry was very helpful in answering any questions and helping us with the pool/spa.
This house is so beautiful my stay here was absolutely wonderful I just wish it wasn’t so cold so we could enjoy everything this house has to offer I would most definitely stay here again!
Beautiful Clean House
House is beautiful up to date and clean. Pool is really nice as is the sitting area in the backyard. I would highly recommend.
Rental date 11/17 2017.Well let me start by saying that the house is a very nice place, then things start to go south. Was told that a small tear in the screen of the lanai was all that happened do to the hurricane. WRONG,!! 4 sections of, the lanai where totally gone. we rented the boat for 3 days and had to give (Larry the shake down man) 150.00 for boat orientation. WHAT A JOKE,!!. All he did was tell you a few things about the boat ,where to go, and that's it.10 minutes of work also, the boat is about 20 years old and don't steer worth a sh#t. we had ants,Yes ants, all over the counters every day.called Larry the caretaker and was told that he would take care of it. NOPE.the icing on the cake was when we where charged. 19.50 for 1 day of heating up the pool to a reasonable temperature. Yes they will take it right out of your deposit so Beware. all in all I won't be renting this house again.
It‘s a shame you don‘t appreciate what our house & boat offers you for a dream vacation!
After a hurricane as strong as Irma all order books of service companies in the Cape Coral area are still overflowing - we repaired the major part of the lanai screen ourselves right afte the storm — the last 4 fields in the top of the lanai aren‘t possible to replace without professional equipment. Compared to all the damage to house and yard right after the storm the four tears waiting to be repaired are minor as we described it to you. Also the tiny ants you mentioned were a result of the heavy storm with huge amounts of water in the around the house. Keep in mind: Southwest Florida is a tropical area with humid weather and wildlife.
If you were a boater you knew to appreciate the quality of riding with a SeaRay — its 20 years is nothing if its as well maintained as ours. Regarding the one—time fee, it is for cleaning and preparing for check—in, orientation, check—out and final cleaning. However, this is a regular fee to be paid whenever you rent any boat. As you rented the boat for 5 days initially it was very kind of us to only charge you for the 3 days you were out due to the weather. This isn‘t the case in a boat rental place!
Think first before judging.
