I cannot post a link but if you google for a Playa Del Carmen street map in the travel yucatan, you will see a very good street map to see how close it is to everything!

The unit is located in the Oltreoceano complex Street 10Bis North, between 15th Ave North and 20 Ave North Our condominium complex is directly below WalMart 2 streets over from the Yellow block which says Plaza Ayuntamiento

It is one of the more quiet and centrally located buildings in Playa only 2 short blocks to 5th Avenue and 5 to the beach. We are also only 2 short blocks from Walmart which is convenient for walking to get any supplies you may need. EVERYTHING IS WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE! Clubs, Coco Bongo, restaurants, beach, 5th Ave, shopping, ADO bus terminal, ATM, everything! Our building has a private pool and terrace area with very nice tropical plants. The building is very well maintained. We have a full time maintenance and gardening.

This is a great rental for a family with small children as the pool is inside our gated courtyard and just below our balcony in full view. The pool is very quiet and rarely used by other guests.

Within 10 minutes of the condo just a few blocks away is the ferry to Cozumel - You can walk to it. The ferry runs continuously all day long for those interested in the fantastic reef diving in the warm crystal clear waters of the Caribbean Sea. 1 and 1/2 blocks from our condo is the bus station (from where you can travel to Mayan ruins, TULUM, Xcaret, Xel-Ha, the Biosphere Preserve, CANCUN, and many secluded beaches with terrific diving and snorkeling) as well as any water-sports that you care to enjoy.

The condo includes: WIRELESS INTERNET - PREMIUM CABLE CHANNELS - 2 CELL PHONES for your use while vacationing, PRIVATE Parking in front, an IN ROOM SAFE for your valuables and passports, a fully equipped kitchen with a gas stove / 4 burners, coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave, blender, toaster, rice cooker, as well as pots and pans / dishes / utensils.

We provide, FIVE Gallons of “Cristal” SAFE drinking water, You can fill your ice trays from this same safe water supply, a blow dryer, iron, ironing board, 12 bath towels, 6 beach towels, 2 umbrellas, clean sheets, an area information binder including street maps, a chess set, deck of cards, scrabble, snatch (which is a word game), children’s life vests, novels, a sofa that converts to a full size comfy bed, 2 automatic air conditioning controls ( 1 for just the bedrooms and 1 that cools the rest of the condo ), a 32” Flat screen cable TV with a DVD player and numerous DVD’s for your enjoyment. DVD’s include titles for everyone in your family including 2 Fred Astaire movies. Radio/CD player with MP-3 capability.

If you have any concerns, our management company speaks, reads and writes; English and Spanish They are only a phone call away. They provide airport service, babysitting service,maid services are all available for an additional fee.

You don’t need to rent a car, direct bus service (ADO is the company, nice charter bus with air conditioning) from Cancun Airport to Playa del Carmen is very inexpensive.

In Playa

Once you arrive to the bus terminal on Calle 2, you can either walk or take a cab for about $3.00 usd to our condo. The streets (Calles) run in increments of 2. Walk to 10 Bis from the bus station and you are on our street. The condo name is OLTREOCEANO.

** Please note, you CAN take the ADO bus from their Calle 12 terminal which is 1 1/2 blocks from our condo to the Airport. It is SO close, if you use the ADO bus, this is the place to depart from. It's almost at our condo door!

3D Museum of Wonders 10th Ave between Calle 8 & 10 (VERY FUN) see photo.

CENOTES: Jardin de Eden, Azul, Cristalino all on 307 heading toward Tulim. (Inexpensive - usually 3-5 dollars per person)

Interaction with Spider Monkeys, you are inside the enclosure with them and they sit right on your lap! You will need an appt so use the internet to look up The Jungle Place and reserve your monkey experience with Heidi!

Hello we are John and Dalen Castellanos and we have been married for 35 yrs and raised three lovely daughters. We love to travel, ski, horseback ride, camp, hike, read, boats, SCUBA, snorkel, fishing, dancing etc. We have traveled to Mexico many times to visit our adult daughter who decided to live and work there for a few years. On our trip in Jan 2008, we decided to buy our condo and use it for vacations as well as a rental property. We do our best to make the rental process very easy and affordable. The cell phones in the condo are charged with approximately 20 minutes air time and are very easy to use to call the USA from Mexico. Our rates include maid service upon your departure. Our propery managers speak English and Spanish fluently and are always ready to assist you should you need any guidance or care.

While staying in our condo we love to find new and interesting restaurants, visit the unpublished attractions such as Centoe Azul, Jardin De Eden, & Cristalino. We enjoy the VIP movie theater in Cancun with their wonderful leather recliners and low admission. We enjoy SCUBA diving, boating, snorkeling, relaxing on the beach and attending any festivals that may be going on during our stay. They just added a new 3D museum which is so much fun! Playa Del Carmen is a beautiful, clean, calming atmosphere and we just love to come and be here. Dalen & John.

  • King size beds (1) Master bedroom has a KING size bed with a new mattress purchased 9/4/12., Double Beds (1), Sleep Sofa or Futons (1) The sofa doesn't fold out, it lifts up and becomes the same height as the rest of the sofa. Amazing condo!!

We cannot wait to go back to Playa del Carmen and to THIS condo. Dalen and John have thought of everything to make this condo the perfect place to stay. The location cannot be better. Walking distance to EVERYTHING!! We took the ADO bus from the airport, arrived to the condo, and automatically felt at home. The property managers were very attentive and accessible. Walmart is so close. We bought groceries the first day to have breakfast and lunch in the condo. We could spend time on the beach, walk back to the condo for lunch, and then back to the beach. When friends came to visit, they could park at the condo and then we would walk around. No need to drive anywhere. I highly recommend this condo. I am already planning my next visit.

Perfect location!

This condo was in a well secured building and had a Spanish vibe with a cute courtyard filled with tropical plants and a relaxing pool. The AC in the unit works great. The condo itself is close to a super Walmart where you can buy everything from food, beer and liquor, toiletries, snorkel gear and souvenirs at great prices. The owners and property managers are amazing! Highly recommend this property!! No car needed.

One of the best place you can find!

We just returned from spending 1 week at this Condo. Absolutely one of the best choices we ever made. We usually go with our timeshare but this time, tried something different. Well, it cost less, you have more services and the location was great. I will not download any pictures because the ones that are up are exactly what you get, no surprise. We also felt very safe there and before we left because we were able to speak with the owners.

Patricia, who takes care of everything there, was waiting for us at our arrival. She was always just a phone call away. When we informed her that we could possibly run out of drinking water, she had someone bring a new bottle the same afternoon.

We all agreed that this was a very nice experience. There is no doubt in our mind that we will try to go back. Everything is so close, you can use the stuff they have in their condo (beach mats, boogie boards, phones, etc.). The Wi-Fi works fine, no problems. Just like having a home near the beach… Can’t beat that!

Another great stay

I have stayed in the condo several times and thay have all been great. The condo has everything you need and is close to everything. The folks at the property management are great. Maria carried my big dive bag up the stairs and when I left she gave me a ride to the ferry. Great service. I will return, si Dios quiere!

A fun adventure

We had never been to Mexico before and were a little nervous about everything. I am very glad we found this condo. The whole experience made this part of the trip run smoothly. Dalen did a great job of answering my questions ahead of time and Maria and Patricia were great during our stay. I called to let them know we were boarding the ado bus at the airport and were met at the condo when we arrived there. The included cellphones were useful for calling restaurants and arranging activities.

The beds were very comfortable and the air conditioning worked well(my biggest two concerns). Although we didn't cook we bought some breakfast and snack foods at walmart (and aloe vera for sunburns) and ate in when starting our day early. There is probably 100 restaurants within a 15 minute walk and we never ate at the same place twice. Everywhere we ate was great.

We had our laundry done for 61 pesos around the corner which was awesome so we didn't have to pack as much. We took the collectivos to Tulum, Akumal, Xel-ha and Xcaret and had an absolute blast. On the days when we didn't plan a trip the kids watched movies or played in the pool during the heat of the midday and then we would head down to the main playa beach around 4pm and we would have some drinks on the beach while the kids boogie boarded in the surf.

We are looking forward to coming back to Playa and this condo and doing all the other great activities that we ran out of time for!

Another Wonderful Stay!

We have stayed multiple times in this condo and we come coming back because of the location and wonderful service provided. The condo is centrally located and everything is within a short walking distance (restaurants, clubs, shopping) Walmart is only 2 blocks away and the beautiful beach is only 3 blocks away! The condo is very spacious, comfortable and fully equipped. The management team is fast and attentive, especially Maria, who went out of her way for us. There's a reason we keep coming back to Oltreoceano and it's because it has everything you could need or want! We will definitely be booking again! Highly recommended!
