We stayed in the apartment the apartment for three nights on this trip to Berlin and the apartment was exactly as described and shown online. Everything was very easy to arrange with Karsten and he met us at the apartment exactly when agreed and went through everything with us, including providing local information. Karsten was very helpful and really made us feel at home.
The apartment is set off a small internal courtyard, so was very quiet, and was very well equipped to a high standard. It has everything you could need for a short or longer stay and the Wi-Fi worked great as well.
Its location in Prenzlauer Berg means it is easy to walk into town or catch the U-Bhan or tram. The local neighbourhood is very friendly and has lots of good restaurants, bars (‘Scotch & Sofa’ near the Senefelderplatz U-Bhan being one I would recommend) and local shops (there is a supermarket just around the corner). In addition when we arrived on a Thursday there was a local market on and then on Saturday the whole main road had a market as well.
We had a great stay and look forward to staying here again and have already passed on the details to friends.
We stayed in the apartment for 2 weeks and found the aprtment was exactly as described, set in a lovely quiet courtyard that delt very private and ensuredd that you always were able to relax and get a good nights sleep despite being centrally located for everything.
The apartment itself is furnished to a high standard with a very big amd comfy bed, a gorgeous bathroom and a small but fully equipted kitchen that has everything you need including a coffee maker, dishwasher and washing machine. A big plus was also that all the little things like a hoover, dishwasher tablets, airer and other cleaning products were all avalibale which was a bonus as it means you feel really at home and means you don't need to worry about picking anything extra up and you are free to enjoy your holiday.
The best part however is the location. The apartment is situated in the most beautiful neighbourhood with great markets on a Thursday and Saturday, a nice supermarket on the corner, a beautiful park on the doorstep and a wide variety of beautiful restaurants and bars on the doorstep, we can particularly recommend the Thai just over the road (Mao Thai, I think) which is beautiful. There is also a tube station just round the corner which provides easy access to the centre of Berlin (it is close enough to walk).
We had a car in order to explore other areas of Germany as well and found access to the aprtment really easy compared to other European cities. Parking is 7 euros per day in a compex just around the corner but you can buy a ticket in advance and then it is only 3 euros.
Overall we had a great stay and would stay here again without hesitation it is a lovely apartment in a fantastic neighbourhood.
I have rented 12 HomeAway properties over the past 5 years, most of them very nice, yet this property is the best! In short, if you find that this apartment is available for the dates that you're in Berlin, then book it. Do not hesitate for a minute.
The apartment is super large, immaculate, modern, complete with a fully equipped kitchen including everything that you can imagine. Tall windows, a patio, quiet setting, a fabulous master bathroom with enormous tub and walk-in stall shower, a second bathroom, and a large bedroom perfect for sleeping.
The location is superb. My sister and I are Irish grandmothers in our 60s. We walked everywhere, visiting all the museums and sites from Prenzlauer Berg to Charlottenburg. If you're not a fan of walking, the underground metro stop is a brief walk from the apartment, and that takes you anywhere in Berlin.
On a personal note, I am dreaming about another meal at the Italian restaurant steps from the apartment... classic, charming Italian dining inside and sidewalk-side. I had been all day doing research at the Kupferstichkabinett in Potsdamer Platz. My Italian waiter asked what I would like. Without consulting the menu I described a pasta dish exactly as I like it. The chef made it to perfection, and I cleaned my plate!
At every chance I shall return to this apartment. Karsten, the owner, is wonderful, too!
This is a lovely apartment, very nice decor and lots of space. Although very peaceful because of the courtyard setting, it has everything you need on the doorstep with a great choice of restaurants and bars. We would highly recommend Prenzlauer Berg as the place to stay in Berlin, and more specifically would highly recommend this apartment to friends and family - unless we want it first!
We stayed at this lovely apartment early April this year and it was great. The description is accurate; the apartment is bright and airy and has plenty of space for two people. What I really liked is that the bedroom is a separate room and unlike some other holiday places that are more like bedsits, this feels like a proper apartment. It is quiet because it faces a large courtyard rather than the street, with a balcony that would be good in summer. It is fully equipped and comfortable, and feels like home - it has all you need for your stay.
The location is brilliant, the transport links are minutes away especially the tram to the Alex. Shops are fine too, and loads of them, including a large supermarket in the same block for all your stuff. The market on Saturday has all the posh organic food you might want. Bars and places to eat are everywhere; we are both veggies and had no problems finding places at all.
We'd recommend staying in Prenzlauer Berg as there is plenty going on and you can have late nights out but its not quite as busy as Friedrichshain or Kreuzberg. It has a really good atmosphere and feel - would like to live there!
Thanks to Karsten for your help and to Next Estate for the ease of payment and handover of keys.
We strongly recommend this apartment for your stay in Berlin and if it is available for your visit I'd say book it! We would definitely think of staying here on our next trip to Berlin.

We stayed four nights in this nice appartment. The appartment is really good for a couple. The appartment is high quality and lies in a quiet backyard.
The neighborhood is really nice with many nice streets, many restaurants and bars just across the street or around the corner. Supermarket almost next door. Relatively short walk to the U-Bahn.
If/when we go to Berlin again, we would certainly consider this appartment again.
