Lindau - a jewel at the old town in Lake Constance! The island is connected via a railway embankment and a road bridge with the mainland district. The formerly free imperial city, spared from the wars, was largely able to preserve its medieval character and has a wealth of historic sights: Altes Rathaus (15. Century) in the heart of the island; 'Neues' Rathaus next door with 11:45 o'clock daily carillon; City Museum in the 'Haus zum Cavazzen' (1729) - the picturesque building is considered the most beautiful baroque town house on Lake Constance; 40m next to our house, the more than 1000 years old St. Peter's Church (with the only surviving murals Hans Holbein the Elder about 1490), next to it, even from the apartment in the right angle visible, the medieval thieves from 1380. Continue to experience in the 50m close range of the apartment - 'around the corner' - the old town pedestrian area 'Maximilianstr.' with a variety of cafes, restaurants, stalls, shopping - the old trading town has retained its buoyancy to our days.

In the 300m radius you will find the landmark Lindau, the world-famous port entrance with the lighthouse (which you can climb) and the Bavarian Lion, both from the middle of the 19th century.
