Borgholm C Villa Rental Photos and Description

Luxurious equipment with 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a dream kitchen

This 195 m² living space residence was completed in January of 2013. Similar to the Sommarlyx residence, it is furnished with high-quality leather upholstered furniture and measure-made Öland limestone tables. Also inside you will notice the colourful paintings of artist Verena Rotterdamm. The kitchen has black fronts, while the kitchen island countertop is made out of white Silestone. In addition to an oven and microwave, the kitchen also provides a food steamer. As in the Sommarlyx residence, two refrigerators, a wine cabinet and a dishwasher are at your disposal.

In the housekeeping area you will find a washing machine and tumble dryer. In addition to the floor heating this house also provides a stylish wood burning stove: like that you will be able to enjoy the right atmosphere during a cold season night. All three of the bathrooms have a window and are fitted with fine tiles and a towel dryer.

The Jacuzzi (with lying flats) is surrounded by glass and is equipped with a weatherproof and opening roof: this makes it also enjoyable in case of bad weather or during low season. The other terrace (11x4 m) also provides a weatherproof and opening roof. The eight-people dining area comes with sliding panels in the partially glass walls, which makes it fully usable even when raining during the somewhat cooler time of year.

As for outside the house you will find six sun loungers and a kettle barbecue on wheels. Three parking spaces are available directly by the house: one next to the main entrance, two by the side-entrance. The main entrance has direct access to the kitchen and the extension used as a storage room. The house has two entries: one at the parking and kitchen side (very useful for suitcases etc.) and another one at the bicycle storage room side, at the other side of the house. All three bedrooms have a sea view. Not so for the living room, as it is south- and west-oriented. This means, however, that the living room bathes in a bright, sun-flooded atmosphere all-year round: thanks to the thick, slidable glass fronts and light cupolas.

From the storage room (which offers plenty of space for storing your drinks etc.), you have direct access to the kitchen and its entrance. In this room you will find a washing machine, an extra tumble dryer, large washbasin, shoe storage space, vacuum cleaner, cleaning products and utilities (a ladder, a bucket, …), iron, ironing board. Home automation is also included. The very ample open-plan kitchen (25 m²) with window opens towards the spacious living room.

This room provides a wood-burning stove, large flat-screen TV, Blu-Ray and Wi-Fi. It is divided into a dining area and a lounge corner. In the latter you will find a 3-seat sofa, three high back relaxation chairs (rotatable and tiltable for adjusting your lying position), two common rotatable relaxation chairs, USM cupboards, a couple of beautiful paintings and other decoration.

Two of the bedrooms have a large double bed, a window with sea view and direct access to the bathrooms (one of them with shower and bathtub, both bathrooms have a window). These bedrooms are equipped with cupboards, flat-screen television, chairs, paintings and decoration. The third bedroom also has a window with sea view. It is fitted with two single beds (100 cm), a corner piece with platform for the flat-screen TV, a writing desk with desk chair on wheels, a leather armchair, a cabinet, paintings and decoration. Both beds have a reading lamp and a small glass table each. This bedroom comes with a private, lockable access in a drawer-fitted vestibule that leads to both bedroom and bathroom (shower, toilet, washbasin, bath furniture and a window).

The nearest big supermarket is 1 kilometre away. A small sand bay with a flat, shallow sea entrance is only about 250 metres away from the residence.

We are from Austria and we own a company in Vienna. Some friends of ours drew our attention to this marvellous island. We started with building our house first. After completion we built two more houses –which we also rent- next door for family and friends. Conclusive to do so were the lovely climate, the complete absence of industry and stress, the abundance of nature, the location directly at the seafront… and of course the beautiful country with plenty of friendly and helpful people.

We are family people with many friends. We live in the house next to the Sommarlyx residence: all three houses are next to one another. It is an ideal place for celebrating Christmas time or for private use during the low season.

Fantastic holiday in a beautiful house

We have just had a wonderful holiday in this great house. The house is beautifully and luxuriously furnished, with original furniture pieces complimented with colourful artworks. It really is luxury accommodation. The designer kitchen is something out of "Homes and Gardens" and the hot tub (adjoining a private sun-soaked terrace) is a fantastic way to end the day. The house comes with 4 adult bikes and a child's bike, and we used them everyday and discovered many great cycle paths, all traffic free. The house is a few minutes walk to a small rocky beach, and slightly further to a sandy child friendly beach. We would love to come again to visit beautiful Oland and would love to stay again in this amazing house.

Traumhaus in Traumgegend mit Top-Ausstattung

Man weiss garnicht wo man mit dem loben anfangen bzw. aufhören soll. Auszusetzen gibt es an diesem Ferienhaus überhaupt garnix.

Der Vermieter ist extrem nett und sehr zuvorkommend. Zur Begrüßung eine Flasche Prosecco im Weinkühlschrank, der sich in einer atemberaubenden Designerküche befindet. On Top noch die Nespressokapseln für entsprechend vorhandene Maschine.

Alles ist wie neu und man freut sich neben 3 sehr großen Schlafzimmern (alle mit großen LCD Samsumg TVs ausgestattet) sowie 3 dazugehörigen Bädern über eine Wohn-Essbereich der sehr, sehr viel Platz bietet.(natürlich auch mit tollem TV und Soundbar)

Der Aussenbereich mit überdachtem Whirlpool rundet das Traumhaus ab. Neue Fahrräder für die ganze Familie sind mehr als das i-Tüpfelchen und somit das perfekte Urlaubserlebnis.

Habe schon viele tolle Ferienhäuser auf der ganzen Welt gemietet, aber dieses gehört absolut zu meinen Favoriten.

Was gibt da schöneres als diese wundervollen Zeilen und liebevolle Benützung von Haus Solsträle. Herzlichen Dank dafür. Wir wünschen uns noch viele Gäste beherbergen zu dürfen diese ebenso empfinden damit hat sich unsere Idee "wohnen im Urlaub ebenso schön wie zu Hause" weiterhin erfüllt.

Best summerhouse-rental ever!

Well, what can I say!

The feeling when you arrive at day 1.....amazing 2....amazing 3...amazing 3-7...amazing house!

The picture don´t lie. Sometimes when we rented a summerhouse in Sweden and Denmark the pictures where old and taken when the house was newly built. At this house the picture 100% reflects the house and the house is only 2 years old I think so it´s in superb condition and also well taken care of with daily maintenance from the host.

We choose the house because we don´t like to spend our vacation at a regular house, we want a big, modern house with a luxurious feeling with up-to-date interiors and this house has it all.

And the kitchen, oh my god, so big and so modern with a great atmosphere to both cook and eat in the adjoining room with a dinner table suitable for a large company.

More advantages: It´s big house with great space for a 4+4 company, the 3 toilets and 2 shower rooms are classy, the outdoor secluded wooden patio with a great jacuzzi is also classy, well to be honest the entire house breathes class. Final cleaning included in the price and the house was spotless when we arrived.

And my regards to the hosts Benedikt & Franziska who live 2 houses away and can help you with anything. Complimentary Prosecco in the integrated wine fridge, brand new bikes in all sizes to help you get around in beautiful Borgholm/Köpingsvik. Very close to some great beaches just a short walk from the house.


Do I recommend this house to your guys?

No, please look elsewhere since I wanna have it all by myself next year again! ;-)

Genuss pur!!

Wir haben das Haus mit 6 Erwachsenen gemietet und uns rundum wohl gefühlt!

Die Ausstattung ist auf einem sehr hohen gepflegten Niveau! Der moderne Stil und die Großzügigkeit des Objektes heben sich von anderen typisch schwedischen Ferienhäusern ab. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und gleichzeitig diskret, obwohl sie nur 2 Häuser weiter wohnen. Wir haben uns sehr gut betreut gefühlt. Alle Informationen zur Umgebung - Besichtigungsmöglichkeiten, Einkäufe etc. waren vor Ort verfügbar. Wir sind einigen Empfehlungen gefolgt und können auch hier nur beste Qualität und hohes Niveau bestätigen. Das Feriendomizil haben wir bereits an mehrere Freunde, die durch unsere Urlaubsfotos angesteckt waren, weiterempfohlen und sind sicher, dass alle den Urlaub genießen werden und Interieur pfleglich behandeln und schätzen werden.

Top-Luxushaus mit super freundlichen Vermietern

Dieses Haus hebt sich wohltuend vom Standard durchschnittlicher schwedischer Ferienhäuser ab, den wir durch zahlreiche Schwedenurlaube kennen gelernt haben.

Die Beschreibung des Hauses im Internet trifft voll zu, und bei unserer Ankunft gab es noch zusätzliche tolle Zugaben wie die Kapseln für die Espressomaschine oder der Prosecco im Weinkühlschrank!

Die Vermieter sind sehr zuvorkommend, jederzeit ansprechbar und wissen, wie sie den Urlaub für ihre Gäste so angenehm wie möglich gestalten. Sie sind sehr hilfsbereit, und sogar eine vergessene Wertsache haben sie uns unkompliziert und kostenfrei nachgesandt. Besonders hervorheben wollen wir die uneingeschränkt hochwertige Ausstattung und Sauberkeit des Hauses, die deutlich über den Standard herkömmlicher Ferienhäuser hinausgeht. Durch unsere berufliche und private Reisetätigkeit haben wir einen sehr hohen Anspruch an diese Merkmale eines Ferienhauses, der mehr als übertroffen wurde. Wir würden gerne noch einmal dort unseren Urlaub verbringen.

Between the small town of Borgholm and the celebrated seaside town of Köpingsvik lies the new Björkviken villa quarter alongside the sea. From this place you are a mere 10 minutes bicycle ride away from finding yourself shopping and feasting in Borgholm. It also takes no more than a 5 minutes bicycle ride to get to the Köpingsvik sandy beach, where you will find entertainment for young and... well, the every age young of hearts. The holiday residence is an ideal starting point for discovering the isle from north to south. There is plenty of stuff that keeps amazing: wonderful vegetation, an exceptional coastal landscape, the picturesque harbour, exciting archaeological sites from different eras and countless art galleries.

Or you might want to go trace-hunting for Nils Kant in the fictive town of Stenvik, which author Johan Theorin described so well in his book Öland, that you should find this city easily. Öland, the isle of sun and wind, has the largest amount of sunny hours of the whole country: a reason why Queen Victoria commanded to build the Solliden summer castle here. She once said: 'anybody who has been in Öland, will once return eventually'. And so the royal family stays on this island every summer, celebrating the birthday of crown princess Victoria of Öland.

It is easy to fall in love with this island, though not only during summer. In May the whole island smells like lilac flowers, which are almost nowhere else to be found in such high concentrations than on Öland. Together with these lilac-coloured Orchids, yellow cowslips form complete flower carpets... joined by the wild-growing chive with its flower balls and other wild herbs growing on the isle. Starting from September a starry sky presents itself, looking as if one could touch it and reminding you suddenly of all those individual constellations. And then winter: with dry snow that seems to be light blue during daytime because of the clear blue skies, but that later lights up the night when it’s dark. Öland is an isle of contrasts, but above all a place where one can find peace.
