Welcome to Barrel House Vineyards in Sonoma County’s beautiful Dry Creek Valley. Surrounded by manicured lawns and lush vineyards yielding Cabernet Sauvignon, the Barrel House is the perfect choice for a vacation getaway or an extended stay.
Over the years the single room barrel storage building has been expanded time and time again, culminating in today’s beautiful Barrel House.
Barrel House is located in Healdsburg’s beautiful Dry Creek Valley, just minutes from downtown, world class restaurants, wineries and shopping. Enjoy the heart of wine country in a spacious restored historic farmhouse offering elegant amenities on a private vineyard property.
With over 2800 square feet of living space Barrel House sleeps 6-8 adults with plenty of room to move around on your private vineyard setting.
We look forward to welcoming you to Barrel House Vineyards!
It's been said before in previous reviews, but the message is the same... the pictures don't do this place the justice it deserves. It's just awesome. We had 6 adults, and we all had room to roam and relax. There are multiple seating areas scattered throughout the property, and the pool was a great way to unwind after visiting the wineries. The property manager was easily accessible, and she was accommodating to our late arrival, too. My only complaint is that we didn't spend more time hanging out at the house.
In search of a vacation spot to celebrate a special birthday with our adult children, we zeroed in on finding a suitable home in the Healdsburg area, which we had visited 15 years prior. We were not disappointed.
Barrel House provided all the comforts of home...and more. The grounds are exquisite, from the pool area to the hot tub to the hammock to the basketball court and beyond. Most beautiful are the flowers and foliage in bloom.
We dined out in town several nights but enjoyed most our evenings grilling at home and sitting outside at the long table just outside the kitchen, which is well-stocked and lacks nothing.
Though there is ample space to sit indoors, whether around the dining room table or by the fireplace in the living room, we spent most of our time outdoors.
Barrel House is conveniently located to both a large supermarket and smaller gourmet grocery store, as well as to a drugstore, bank, etc. The ride into downtown Healdsburg is less than ten minutes, and of course, the distance to wineries, Lake Sonoma, the main highway, etc. is nominal.
The home is professionally managed and although we had no issues, we knew that Pam was just a phone call away.
As our first VRBO rental, Barrel House set the bar very high!
We stayed at Barrel House for my wedding weekend and let me tell you that the pictures do this property no justice! The grounds were absolutely amazing and the house itself was perfect with all of the amenities that you could want. Pam was super helpful upon check-in and throughout the stay. We want to come back!!
We booked The Barrel House for a wedding weekend in Healdsburg. We had 2 couples and 4 friends stay for four amazing days - and I do mean AMAZING. There was plenty of space for all 8 of us to dine in the kitchen or on the amazing patio and relax in the countless seating areas on the property. The weather was perfect to enjoy the pool and spend the majority of our time outdoors.
Pam, the property manager, walked us through the house upon arrival and was full of tips and recommendations on how to make the most of our stay. The house has a ton of character which really made it feel like home and the outdoor space was spectacular. The group is already trying to come up with the next occasion for another stay!
Let me start by saying, pictures cannot do this house justice. It is gorgeous! The interior design is very welcoming and the gardens are wonderful. Our group loves to cook together and the kitchen was perfect. All six of us could work in it together with no issue. Also, it is the best stocked kitchen I have ever found in a rental. You can tell the owners are cooks themselves. Setting down to dinner in front of the fireplace was perfect.
The house offers many great settings indoors and out. Since it was cool at night, we spent much time in the Barrel room. With the fireplace going, it was the perfect spot for cocktails and conversation. The outside is remarkable. Again, many different spaces to explore and the landscaping is beautiful. We made use of both the hot tub and pool.
We honestly found no negatives to the house, or our rental arrangements. We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Barrel House and will definitely return on our future trips to California!
My husband and I and our two grown children and their spouses from around the country joined us to celebrate my 60th birthday. The Barrell House was a perfect place to reconnect. There is a spiritual feel to the property. At the recommendation of Pam, the property manager, we hired Janice the chef to come in one night and cook a fabulous dinner. Make sure and ask about her if that is on your agenda. The owners have gone to great lengths to decorate and landscape such that everywhere you look you see the detail and thoughtfulness that they have put into this home. The family room and the magnificent fireplace was where we spent every evening recapping our wine escapades of the day There was nothing that I would have changed. It is nothing like a rental house. The visit was way too short and because it was February, we were not able to enjoy the pool and outdoor area., but we are already planning our next visit.
