Wonderful spacious character apartment

  • 5 of 5

Email response took a few days but be patient it is well worth it! private parking, private entrance door, character barn stairway up to 1st floor apartment, wooden beams, nice décor, beautiful character woodwork, master bed approx 25 feet square plus with sofa and dressing tables and wardrobes, twin bedroom approx. 12 feet square, large sofas ( possibly suitable for sleeping?), lounge diner 30 plus feet, laundry area, secluded balcony, huge table tennis room, corner bath and separate shower, owner allowed use of four various sized bikes which was a great way to explore. Apartment located on cycle path giving miles of cycle route with immediate safe access for family. Train station within approx. half mile. Day return Family rail ticket to Tubingen approx. 20 euro - beautiful idyllic German town with boat rides, churches with bell ringing etc. Supermarkets approx. 2 - 3 miles. Macdonalds with wifi approx. 3-4 miles LEGOLAND gunzburg 90 minutes approx., Stuttgart 40 mins approx., Basel airport approx. 2 hours easy drive good roads. Quiet place to stay, great for kids, France approx. 90 mins, Switzerland approx. 120 mins. Take a DVD player or lap top if you want to watch English programmes as TV only in German. If you like some quiet family time staying in an environment without interruption from adjacent holiday makers, character buildings, cycling or walking, train rides and peace and quiet then this is the place for you. You will need to be able to climb stairs each day. If you want attractions you will need to drive a little. Very friendly and helpful owners. Excellent value for money in terms of space and amenities. Apartment could easily accommodate 6 but check with owners? Thank you Ute and Ulrich for a wonderful holiday! A wonderful place to escape to

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful apartment. Fantastic space and easily large enough for our family of six. Set in a beautiful location. a medieval farm based around a courtyard, we did a double take on arriving to make sure that the apartment was really the one we had booked - the photographs don't do it justice. Huge space with a table tennis room downstairs and our own section of barn to use. The view of the courtyard from the balcony is wonderful.

Lots of beautiful towns and historic sights to visit. And we found a great swimming lake at Seewald; about half an hour away.

Owners, who live on the other side of the building, are very friendly and accommodating. Gave us lots of information and ideas for days out..

Our only regret was that we hadn't brought the family bicycles although the owners lent the children two. There is a cycle path running between the house and the garden area which is safe (no vehicular traffic) and runs for miles though the countryside.

Would highly recommend for a family seeking to get away from it all and to explore the black forest. Excellent value for money.

Ferienunterkunft mit Flair

  • 5 of 5

Liebe Grüße an unsere Vermieter,

Die beiden Münsterländer mit ihren Hunden

Hofgut Egelstal - FeWo mit historischem Flair

  • 5 of 5
